“This place is phenomenal! I don’t understand how it is not packed all the time. We were looking for a place to get a good steak that was anywhere but Portland, especially downtown. We ran into this on Google. The reviews were great and I’m so happy we checked it out. We got bread, polenta salad, and coconut shrimp for appetizers. All delicious! For the entrées we got a porterhouse and a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and mushroom risotto. All delicious! The steaks were seasoned and cooked to perfection. For dessert we got a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Perfect way to end the meal. This was a celebration dinner so we spent a good amount of money on this meal but they have a great selection of good quality cuts and other great options that aren’t priced as high. Also, the drink menu is extensive. I don’t drink alcohol anymore but they have a non alcoholic menu made with zero proof ingredient's, so I was able to have an old fashioned without the alcohol in it. That was a really nice surprise because I missed the taste of those but couldn’t drink them. I didn’t realize that was even a thing. We will definitely be back to this place in the future! Finally, I would like to mention, Elaine. She was our server. Best in the business! Her customer service was top notch, she was sweet and walked us through menu options when we couldn’t decide, and was extremely knowledgeable on the menu. I honestly wish I could have an “Elaine” at every restaurant I eat at. She made the experience there even better. 10 out of 10, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!“

“Really good food, very friendly staff, and really good managers, I definitely recommend Stanford’s in Tanasbourne , everyone needs to come in and try it if you haven’t yet, I recommend the fried calamari and the chimichurri steak tips, they are really really good, save space for dessert and try the chocolate mousse, and make sure to try out the drinks the way is made is all fresh made juices, so if you are in the area make sure to stop by at Stanford’s in Tanasbourne, you will not be disappointed.“

“Celebrated 53rd wedding anniversary, eating there for the very first time. We both had filet mignon, & it was the most delicious steak we’ve had in a long time. Service was excellent, & we will definitely go back. Wish they would serve a few slices of bread & butter, but we were full when we left. Nice time!“

“Highly recommend the bone marrow order. Steak flights tasting was good size portions to be shared between 2 maybe 3 people even. I wouldn’t recommend the baked Mac n cheese since it seemed like there was absolutely no pasta which was all bread crumbs. Kind of disappointing since i ordered it for my kid. Overall nice atmosphere, service was ok, I’d come back for the bone marrow specifically.“

“I highly recommend Claim Jumper if you're looking for upscale food and atmosphere. My boyfriend had a steak and I ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. We both loved our choice and couldn't believe the size of the plates. His steak was cooked perfectly and was served with yummy veggies and mashed potatoes. My Chicken Fettuccine had plenty of chicken, not just noodles like other places, and the perfect amount of sauce. The staff was friendly and attentive and the drinks were great. You'll definitely get your monies worth!“
