I lived in Tokyo, and have had great sushi. So has my brother who lived with me in Tokyo. He thinks Sinju sushi, omakase-style prepared by Alicio, is as good as any he's had. I hesitate to say that, but only because I'm more cautious. Alicio treated us right; the nigiri was great. This is a first class place run by a first class guy.

The one and only problem with Sinju (and we’ve been going for years and years) Is that we are early eaters...5 or so. But they’re never ready for an early crowd. This last time we went at 4:00...right when they opened, so we were very forgiving knowing that they just are never ready early. But we were there nearly two hours and were still waiting for an item.
