Best for groups of 4 so you can get decent seats or larger groups if you want to rent the private room. Otherwise, I’ve always been sat next to the service stand or kitchen doors, which brings down the quality of every visit.I miss their Clackamas Mall location, it was absolutely gorgeous and I had better service.Parking: There is a parking garage right across the street and a small lot to the side.

The food was hot or miss. The nigiri was delicious. The rolls were kind of odd flavors that didn't blend well. The service was good. The atmosphere was low lighting and very jazzy so if you like jazz, then it's a good atmosphere. Our table got a draft from the door. Given that there were plenty of tables open, I would've hoped that the server would have steered us away from a drafty table. So I would describe my overall experience as good, not great.

The food was alright. We got a sushi roll, fried tofu, and an order of gyoza. The gyoza could have used more salt or seasoning or ginger, seemed to be lacking in flavor. The fried tofu was ok, but the size was massive making it hard to find any flavor.

The quality has certainly declined over the past two years, and that was evident last night. I will no longer come back to this location again, despite eating here every few months for the last couple of years. The fish did not taste fresh, and the sockeye salmon sashimi we had was extremely underwhelming. The spicy tuna we ate was under seasoned and tasted off. The only sushi roll I enjoyed last night was the super tempura.Overall, the food was 2/5, the service was 3.5/5 and the atmosphere was 4/5. The place does look nice, I will give them that.To give you some perspective, we spent close to $150 for two people (we ordered about 7 total rolls) and we really wanted to enjoy our purchase, but at this price point, there are far far better options. At the end of the dinner, I really wanted my money back, or a partial refund. I would have brushed this under the rug if it was only 1 or 2 rolls that were not good, but the vast majority of our rolls did not taste good. This was not the case in the past.

I was visiting for work. I stopped here for takeout. I ordered two sishi rolls. The sushi was mediocre. The atmosphere looked very nice. It looked like a nice place to dine in.

Came in for a lunch date with my sissy and service and food was great!!If you have issues with long wait times at their classic dinner hours I would recommend you go in for a lunch instead; faster food, better service, (& you can still get a drink?).I recommend the edamame entree, and the california and avocado rolls. If you're adventurous I'd dare you to try the portland roll. :)

We had dinner at Sinju last night and although the overall experience was ok the people out front greeting and seating us were a bit grumpy. We were seated at the end of the sushi bar which was buy the kitchen and it was distracting and there seemed to be a problem with one of the chairs we were seated at.The sushi was ok but the server and sushi chef were on top of their game and were very helpful.Prices seemed to be expensive compared to the quality of sushi. To their credit the amount of sushi we got was very generous ... even took some home for a snack later,

I had just visited tonight for the first time and I could say without a doubt it was the highest quality sushi possible, the appetizers with the gyoza, got cooked perfectly and tasted like they were made in house. The chicken teriyaki was also perfectly cooked and tender, with a perfect amount of sauce. I also had the salmon nigiri, there was no stringy or fatty parts of the salmon and it was perfectly cut, dessert was also amazing. I had the chocolate lava cake with ice cream, it was a perfect end to the meal for me personally. I would definitely recommend this for any outing you want to spend a little bit extra on for the quality.

Sinju has been my go-to sushi spot for about 5 years now. I love the sexy red/fireplace section to the restaurant. Always great service, and always clean food. I love
