“I've been coming here for lunch whenever I can for the past two years, and it never disappoints! Easily some of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food in the Portland area. There can be a bit of a wait during lunch hour since it's a one-man food cart operation (at most 10-15 minutes), but it's always worth it since everything is fresh and made-to-order. From the massive gyros to the delicious plates, everything is a must-try. To top it off, Ali is incredibly friendly and passionate, and it truly shows in the quality of his food.“

“Best veggie burger of my life! Hands-down, they have the best veggie burger, and I consider myself an aficionado. It’s not the crap- filled, unhealthy version, the boring fart inducing version or the dry dusty crumbly version. It’s a beautiful, well crafted, superbly FLAVORFUL, house made veggie burger with vegetables and whole foods. The flavor has an adobo taste to it. Plus they put cheese on it! I love veggie burgers, but I’m not a vegan or vegetarian so this was just really cool. I would definitely come back here again soon.

We came here super late and all the car pods were closed about 10 minutes before they’re closing time. We were just about to scramble and find an alternative And saw that this car has their lights on. We rolled up, thinking that they were certainly not going to service, but they absolutely did and with a smile“

“Wow, this place is great! Ordered the 3 meat tray, which came with the brisket burger (uber eats deal), along with a side of Cole slaw. We chose burnt ends, ribs, and the smoked chicken with beans and Mac & cheese. Literally everything was made perfectly which is hard to say when ordering bbq here in Portland.

“I am by no means a Vegan. In fact if there is an afterlife I am sure I will have many many furry faces waiting for me for my crimes of rampant meat consumption. So setting that as the starting off point I eat the vegan bowl here like two or three times a week. This girl is an absolute wok goddess. I have no idea how she manages to cook every single piece of vegetables in her stir frys without ever making a single piece go limp. I have a deep and abiding childhood hatred of cauliflower. It is marrow deep to the point of irrational dislike on my end. Yet when that vile weed appears at random in her stir fry I am not only okay with it, but thoroughly enjoy the dish. Even her rice is several steps ahead of the competition. The curried Garbonzo beans are simply perfect. The fresh diced cucumber and carrot makes the perfect crunchy contrast with the amazing rice and curried legumes. The fresh lime juice makes her dishes flirt with sweetness while still being savory. If your tired of the same old boring grease soaked fries and cheese slathered mediocre slabs of low grade meat check out this cart. The flavors are both well seasoned yet not over powering. She has a chefs touch to be sure. Plus my heart I am sure prefers the fare far more than another artery clogging mass of American failure cuisine.“

The momos and curry are The Best (I could eat momos every day the rest of my life and be happy... perhaps even chubbier, but quite content.) Tashi and Lahkpa are genuinely beautiful people, which makes the food even better.“

“Got Burger and fries with the radicchio salad. Fries are good but very basic. Salad was very fresh, unique and delicious. And the burger was good, had a “taziki sauce” of some kind or it was the house made pickles that gave it a “Greek” or “gyro” kind of taste to it. But everything was quite good!“

“Best crudo I have had in Portland in quite some time, and I’m a seafood fiend so I have had quite a few. First off, thick cut tuna, which doesn’t get lost in the ponzu. Then, a perfect balance of citrus, wasabi, just enough serrano zip, and a perfect hit of salt. Beautiful bite! Also had the cucumber which was tasty and herbaceous. I chose not to put out a sign on the cart due to vandalism and break-ins that occur on a regular basis at Rose City Food Park. This is a serious concern here and there isn't much done to protect us from these violations to or businesses. If you have ever been to the Caffe in the past I am positive you would not have left a four star review. When I return in early May, I would like to serve you and your guests. I have run this Caffe for nearly 5 years without issue or conflict or low reviews which recently, it seems that people don't want me to operate as I have in the past. I have given my heart to this endeavor. I had been able to establish deep and wonderful relationships with countless people. And it is slowly being undermined with poor reviews. To the person (HOWELL) and friends, who wrote and reviewed me three times in one day, giving me 3 - 1 stars, there isn't much to say except I informed you kindly about the park policy and you argued with me in front of customers. I never said you had to leave. Though you told me to "mind my business" which I was, literally minding my business. Again there were plenty of witnesses to this interaction. “I have been to this wonderful spot a million times but stayed in my comfort zone of the tacos. I've literally had them all, even the burrito, and burrito bowls. However, something told me that comfort and change can't sit together so I decided to try something new tonight. I tried the scrumptious pulled Jack sandwich, which came with heaping sides of Mac and cheese, and greens. I also got my 6 yr old the tamales. Before I noticed he scarfed down his tamales and was asking for a bite of mine. I was only able to try a single bite of his and man oh man I wanted another one just for myself lol... Here we both are now both stuffed to the max but of course, what a good dinner with a great dessert. We are eating the yum yum yummmaaay blackberry peach cobbler... If you ain't been here, get here, and if you have, try something different next time, I bet you'll love it better or just the same as your favorite.

To top it all off she is such a majestic being, very social( I mean we all have our days right?) and down to earth, and her love language is servitude!!!

“Located in a collection of food carts in a very awesome section of town. Plenty of food available. When I visited there were about 7 beers available on tap and a few wines. I was pleasantly surprised that I had not tried 4 of them and hadn't experienced 2 of the breweries. Plenty of outdoor seating with heaters. A very pleasant human being tending bar.“

“Yes. This place is good. I got the “spicy chicken strips.” They were beautifully fried and crisp. I like my heat and they were not spicy. Still an enjoyable texture, however.

Their side tenders came with pickled radish which was refreshing and not too sweet.

Their side of kimchi mac was a star. Slightly spicy and tasty.

I think when I come again, I want to try their curry mash as that’s suppose to be unique as well.

“Wow. When I go to a viral sandwich spot at a food cart pod, my expectations are usually pretty moderate. A lot of those places get inflated by paid influencers, and we all know it.
But No Flew the Coop completely lived up to the hype. Honestly, it was perfect.
First off, $10 for the chicken Caesar sandwich is a steal. The portion is legit, a huge piece of chicken, and everything is executed with precision. No gimmicks. The bun was perfectly toasted, the flavors were balanced, and the fry on the chicken was spot on.
The mac and cheese on the side was just as dialed. The noodles were cooked perfectly, not mushy like you often get with sides, and the cheese had that ideal, rich, sticky texture.
Service was exceptional too. They were quick, and the extra touch of serving everything on a tray at a food cart pod stood out. Small detail, but it made a difference.
I genuinely can’t find a complaint. This is the kind of place that reminds me of those small, hyper focused Michelin spots in Asia that specialize in one thing and absolutely nail it.

“One of my favorite things to do when friends visit Portland is take them to a food cart pod. It feels like one of the most authentically Portland experiences you can have, great food, local entrepreneurs, and the chance to discover something unexpected.

On a recent outing, that's exactly how we found Oh Yum.

At first glance, the menu was exactly what we were hoping for: Asian-inspired comfort food, curries, rice bowls, healthy options, vegetarian choices, and plenty of dishes that looked both flavorful and approachable. The prices were reasonable, the food came out quickly, and everything looked fantastic.

But the reason I'm writing this review has less to do with the food and more to do with the people.

One member of our group ordered a chicken dish that looked delicious, but after taking a bite, quickly realized it contained an ingredient she was mildly allergic to. It wasn't the restaurant's fault. The ingredient was part of the recipe, and the misunderstanding was entirely on our side.

We debated whether to even mention it.

Eventually, we walked back up to the window just to see if there might be another option.

The person working the window, who I believe may have been the owner, immediately engaged in one of the kindest and most thoughtful customer service interactions I've experienced in a long time. They took the time to walk through the menu ingredient by ingredient, discuss alternative options, and help identify something that would work for her dietary needs.

Then they went above and beyond.

Not only did they help find an alternative, they remade the entire dish with a different protein and flavor profile to ensure she could enjoy her meal.

Again, this was not their mistake.

Food costs are not cheap, and I suspect they probably lost money on that transaction. But they chose to prioritize taking care of a guest rather than focusing on whose fault it was.

That's the kind of thing people remember.

The food itself was excellent. We enjoyed our meals sitting on a bench in the sunshine on a beautiful Portland afternoon, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope to find at a great food cart.

But what really stood out was the hospitality.

Portland is known for its food carts, and there are plenty of places serving great food. What makes Oh Yum special is that they pair great food with genuinely kind people who care about the experience they're creating for their customers.
