“I get lunch here a lot since i work close by.. Delicious food. Fajitas burrito is fantastic, its my favorite burrito in Portland. Every ingredient is generously seasoned, there's no bland flavors here at all, even the rice is delicious.“
“I ate here the other day and was greeted pleasantly by John himself. Whatever he suggested, I said yes to and that was by far the best decision I could have made. When I say the sandwiches were well worth the price, I mean the meat tasted like it was smoked by a man who had been smoking new his entire life. The apple coleslaw was the best slaw I've ever had and I genuinely enjoyed listening to the man talk while preparing my food. Now I've been thinking about the brisket all week. Eat here. Just do it.“
“Incredible!!! I got the birria tacos and they were just fantastic. Piping hot, great mix of textures and flavors, and a great portion size. Thank you! Can't wait to eat here again!Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options and many of them are vegan, or can be made vegan!“
“I loved the atmosphere they created. They even went as far as to decorate the bathrooms with the same aesthetic. The mood setting was lovely, from the overhead lights to the mini tableside lamps, to the comfortable booths and chairs, the leather-bound menus, as well as the waiters kindness and amicableness. The 3 plates we ordered to share were perfect and quite delightful! Compliments to the prep cooks and chefs! I wouldn't change anything. The Mezza Platter Sampler was a perfect appetizer, my personal favorite was the Baba Gannouj. I loved the creamyness and slight tang that it had. But they were all a great try! We had it along with the Queen's Karak (hot saffron milk tea) and it was a perfect tummy warmer along with the freshness of the platter. It was quite aromatic and earthy and creamy all at the same time. Make sure to continuously stir, as it's hot and the spices fall to the bottom, making a delightful tongue punch to end the cup with. The "friday special" Lamb Shank Mandi was an absolutely delicious main entrée, with it's smoked lamb shank, aromatic rice, spiced and spicy dipping sauce and their vegestable stew. All the flavors mixed so perfectly together and filled us up quite nicely. We ended our lovely night in this cozy, beautiful atmosphere with a Date Cake & Ice Cream dessert. The nuts on top were a perfect flavor and crunch alongside the creamy, vanilla carmel ice cream, and the date cake underneath was a perfect pair to the rest of the dessert. Be careful ordering one; you'll get addicted and want more. I did, but unfortunately I was too full of the rest of the yummylicious Saudi Arabian food to get another. (Don't take the stick out of the ice cream, just eat around it carefully. It keeps the ice cream on top of the cake perfectly; no details forgotten.)Vegetarian options: There is one vegetarian appetizer that I saw and one vegan main entrée that I saw. The flavors and aromatics are to die for, so try it once, and if it's not the best, at least you tried it.Dietary restrictions: Dietary Restrictions? Bring your eating pants; everything is worth it and delicious.Parking: Free street parking after a certain point of time in the night; might have to walk a couple of blocks.Paid street parking during the day. If you can order and consume everything in under 2 hours, might be your best choice financially as the lots and garages are pretty pricey. Otherwise you can always move your vehicle and pay for another 2 hours on a different street.Paid lots and garages are scattered about along the streets. Current pricing is $6.00 first hour and $14.00 all day to my knowledge. Could change as years progress.Kid-friendliness: Well-behaved kids at this establishment... Not meant for the rowdy bunch. If you know, you know.Wheelchair accessibility: Completely wheelchair accessible; all on the first floor.“
“If you've never had Kenyan food, you need it in your life. If you don't normally like vegan food, you should give it a try... it had no right being as amazing as it was.Vegetarian options: It's all vegan. It's all incredible.“
“Incredible Guyanese food omg! So so delectable. Bibi is kind and sweet and gave us the cutest samples to try! The salfish bake was amazing! The daal tasted like home to us! We’re from South Asian and tasting the flavors of home was nostalgic! Can’t wait to be back so many times here! Thank you!!! ??“
“I’ve been eating here just about 3-7 times a month for 5 months now, and every time the food gets better. The menu is incredibly well crafted and every time the food tastes just as good if not more so than before. Not only is the food amazing, the staff has the best customer service skills I’ve ever encountered from an eatery. Simply put, this might very well be the best place to eat in Portland.Side note, the quantity of food you get with their combo meals is unbeatable, and it absolutely doesn’t lack in quality either.“
“What a gem! We don't eat vegan exclusively but have egg and dairy allergies so getting burgers with cheese and ranch and shakes was awesome! The buddy stix (mozzarella) were not bad but the Paddy's Melt and Newport Nightmare were both great and the Smashed to pieces shake was so good we came back another time just for more shakes! This place is located inside Swan Dive and did not have a sign outside (as they moved recently to the kitchen inside).“
“Anytime I go to this food court, I go directly to LoRell’s Chicken. I live in Vancouver, Wa and whenever I cross the bridge to run errands I always make sure to stop by Lorell’s for lunch. They are always so nice and take time out of their busy day to make sure to come over to check up on you.“
“The best food truck in Portland! The food is soooo good and the owners are so kind and friendly. If you haven't tried Burmese tea leaf salad before this is the place to do it!Dietary restrictions: I have many food allergies/intolerances and they were very accommodating.“
“Loved the little food cart and the overall atmosphere in the food cart pod. The Scotch Egg Sando sandwich looked impressive but ultimately the deep fried egg did not deliver on flavor (or texture). The bread was also very plain and didn't taste like shokupan.Overall, we loved the concept and menu and would come again to try a more traditional sando!“
“Ordered the Ropa Veija. It had the BEST flavor, and the meat was so tender. The black beans were delicious I have never had black beans that delicious before!!! Also ordered Tostones and the green sauce that came with it was sooooooo amazing. Is a little expensive but worth every penny.“
“The lamb gyro was so good and the lamb cheesesteak my husband enjoyed and then they give you so much meat in the combo gyro beef chicken and lamb everything was seasoned really good and it was hot it was so great for a cold day we did not have to eat anything else the entire night ?Parking: Because of the location it is very difficult to park You may have to park several blocks away and walk back there is only street parking availableKid-friendliness: The owners are really sweet people and they will go all out for you to make sure you are happy with your food and on cold days and nights they have free tea for their customers while they're waiting for their food and that is a nice thing to have especially here in Oregon where it's cold a majority of the timeWheelchair accessibility: It is a lot so it is easy for you to push a wheelchair through and they are on a flat level so you don't have to worry about getting stuck“
“This food is amazing. It is obvious the chef cares deeply about the food he prepares. The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the size of plates. The value of money spent for product you get can not be beat anywhere. I'll always recommend this place first for catering or grabbing some lunch. 5 star for real!!!“
“The Hotate or Sea Scallop sushi with yuzu pepper marmalade was out this world good. We also ordered the Guac N' Roll & French Quarter Roll. Excellent flavors. We didn't even need soy sauce. The Guac N' Roll has a unique presentation and the roll was balance & on point. I will recommend Yoshi to anyone interested in sushi!“
“I went to the food cart location and saw they now have gone brick and mortar. How exciting!! I had their street tacos and some Birria Consomé. Sooo super yummy!!There was plenty of parking and it is wheelchair accessible. The place looks clean. Hands down, these are the best street tacos I've ever had!“
“Perhaps the best coffee/espresso spot we’ve been to within the U.S. Artistry in the making with every order. Very unique vibe, world class attention to detail, exquisite taste with handmade gelato and espresso whip cream! On top of that, the barista Chef/owner is a cool down to earth guy!“
“Kee’s Loaded Kitchen gets it right! I am from the south and have been searching for southern style food that has not been adulterated with other styles. This some of the best fries catfish I have ever eaten. The greens are on point (which is a rare find). The remaining sides are exactly what I would find in the southeast and delicious! I will be back and I plan to share this with all of my local friends that are interested in southern food.“
“No photo can reflect how amazing this Smash Burger truly is. Fresh ingredients, made to perfection. I’ve come to this cart over a dozen times since it has opened, and quality has stayed consistent every time. The $15 order comes with fries, which is a great deal for the amount of food you get. Best smash burger in Portland by far!!This cart is located at Heist, which has a bar and various other food carts if you want to mix and match!“
“I had the best crepes of my life from The Crepe Bear! Both the forager and the teddy bear were so amazing. Their crepes are light and flavorful and the filling options were all so unique, it was hard to choose which crepe to get! The Crepe Bear made crepes at event I was organizing and everyone at the event loved the crepes they ordered. Days later, I’m still thinking about their crepes and I can’t wait to go back!“
“best food i've eaten in ages. not only were the empanadas some of the best i've ever eaten, the price was great ($8 for 3 big empanadas), and the service couldn't have been more friendly. thank you. this meal may have turned me into a “
“Great low-key atmosphere, rain or shine! Family and dog friendly. Tons of outdoor seating, dozens of brews on tap, and several food truck options. We opted for brews and 1/4 slices of Ranch Pizza's pepperoni pizza and breadsticks. Everything hit the spot, staff were kind and helpful, and on a Friday night there was live music on the patio. We'll certainly be back!“
“Literally can't not tell you how amazing this place is. Not only are they the KINDEST humans, but the food was beyond incredible. I was craving shrimp, and it was not on the regular menu since it's a random special. Surprisingly, he said he had some and would make it for me. We had the lollipop garlic noodles which were DELICIOUS, tofu, the fried chicken, and shrimp garlic noodles. They were so accommodating. We will be back 1 million percent.“
“The best Mexican food cart by far. I always get tacos and they've never let me down. Super quick and delicious every time. The man running the cart is always very nice and sometimes gives me extra food. This is always my go-to when I'm craving Mexican food.“
“This is a great neighborhood taqueria. The prices are really good for the quality of the food and the spices on the Al Pastor are some of the best I've had. Burrito bowls are my jam and this burrito bowl is seriously legit. Salsas are also great.“
“My new favorite food spot! Great food and people. Every menu item I’ve tried so far has been amazing, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Highly recommend the whitefish sandwich and wash it down with an egg cream. Lovely spot for weekend brunch as well.“
“My son had the Spicy Gochujang fried chicken and I had the snow cheese fried chicken. The food was good. All the chicken is double fried which makes it nice and super crispy. The snow cheese was sweet kind of like a parmesan cheese coating. It was good but I found it to be a little too much coating. I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been a little less of a coating but that's my own personal thought. My son really liked the Spicy Gochujang fried chicken. I thought it was going to be real spicy and I tried some of the sauce and it was really good and not overly spicy. He also got the kimchi macaroni and cheese which he enjoyed. All came with a side of pickled daikon radishes that were absolutely fantastic. Each came with three wings that were bone in and huge! I was really surprised at how large the wings were. Overall we would definitely go back again. You can also get your food and go into the tap House that it's connected to to have a beer or order a beer and bring it out to the food court! Fun little atmosphere and fantastic customer service!“
“Comfort food at its finest. Guys working there are super chill and set us up with all their sauces. We took some time deciding what we wanted because all of it sounded so good. My brother got the trifecta combo and my husband and I each got the chicken sandwich. My only complaint is that the sandwiches were a little hard to pick up and eat just because they were so loaded. Don't let the website pictures fool you - these portions are huge (and the prices very affordable). My husband and I could have easily split one sandwich but instead have leftovers for tomorrow. :) everything just pairs well together. The menu has been well thought-out and I think we need to come back to try more!“
“Really friendly and great customer service! Got the brunch burger and it did not disappoint. Perfect burger for when you can’t decide what you want has everything you could need eggs bacon and hash browns! If you are in the area I would suggest checking it out!“
“I have to say that this cart was absolutely amazing. Me and my wife got the Birria Burritos one with no beans and one with beans, they were a perfect balance, the taste was great, the sauce was spicy but tasteful as well. Hands down a very good spot for some Birria!?!?! Thank you Jr and Guillermo Sr!“
“We live near the French Quarter food cart pod and Taco Express is a cart that we frequent every time we come (and that's often)! The kids love the breakfast burrito, their tacos are delicious, and seriously the fries are the best of anywhere in the Village! Friendly service and convenient hours. Love this place!“
“Best burger I've had in Oregon! The meat is so flavorful, and it's almost as thin as a smashburger. Crispiness on the edges of the meat is perfection. The bun is fried with butter too for a perfect crust. And the fries are great too. Came on a Saturday for lunch, and it's not too busy.“
“A food truck with mighty flavors in their tacos! This was featured in netflix so it was a must stop to check out during our portland trip. It's located in Hinterland Bar& food Carts. The truck is at the end of the row, near their version of indoor/outdoor seating..The covered outdoor seating has heat lamps. The dining areaWas nice and cozy during the day. The seating area have a fair amount of seating, self-serve water, and a modest shelter from the wind and rain..I ordered the chopped brisket tacos which consist of brisket and guacamole. The brisket was the epitome of juicy. The tortilla were soft and warm. The brisket flavors together was savory delicious. It's safe to say my tastebuds were seredipity! The size of the tacos are surprisingly deceiving as they leave you feeling a healthy full..I also got the smoked turkey taco with guacamole and it was pleasing to the presentation. The turkey taco had good chunks of white turkey meat. The taco was refreshing too. I wouldn't have thought about smoked turkey tacos as my second choice but it was great to experience something different. It's great being adventurous sStreet parking since it's near a residential area. The server whohanded me my food was nice. The ordering process was a breeze as you order on atablet located at the front of the truck and they text you when your order is ready. Matt'sBBQ Tacos is a revisit when I am craving a snack at the food trucks and l'm looking forward to trying out other creations. Hope this review is helpful and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“
“Best tofu I've found in Portland!! I love trying new things any time I go, and have yet to be disappointed!! Not only is the food great, but the service is unmatched! Definitely my favorite lunch spot :)Vegetarian options: Most dishs can be made vegetarian by selecting tofu for your protein“
“I am by no means a Vegan. In fact if there is an afterlife I am sure I will have many many furry faces waiting for me for my crimes of rampant meat consumption. So setting that as the starting off point I eat the vegan bowl here like two or three times a week. This girl is an absolute wok goddess. I have no idea how she manages to cook every single piece of vegetables in her stir frys without ever making a single piece go limp. I have a deep and abiding childhood hatred of cauliflower. It is marrow deep to the point of irrational dislike on my end. Yet when that vile weed appears at random in her stir fry I am not only okay with it, but thoroughly enjoy the dish. Even her rice is several steps ahead of the competition. The curried Garbonzo beans are simply perfect. The fresh diced cucumber and carrot makes the perfect crunchy contrast with the amazing rice and curried legumes. The fresh lime juice makes her dishes flirt with sweetness while still being savory. If your tired of the same old boring grease soaked fries and cheese slathered mediocre slabs of low grade meat check out this cart. The flavors are both well seasoned yet not over powering. She has a chefs touch to be sure. Plus my heart I am sure prefers the fare far more than another artery clogging mass of American failure cuisine.“
“I just arrived in Portland and was looking for good halal food. By luck came across this place thru Uber eats. Ordered kabali pilau and chapal kebabs. Hands down best food I have tasted in months. Taste was unbelievable as well as it was all fresh. In my book both restaurant and owners deserve 5 stars for the quality of the food.“
“Randomly decided to stop here while walking my dog and am sooo glad I did! I chose the house curry, pot stickers and spring rolls, everything was delicious and flavorful. Plenty of food for two people. The customer service was exceptional, a true joy. Highly recommended.“
“We like to be safe and warm during the cold rainy days. Coffee is god's bitter apology for everything else. We all want to see a familiar face at the end of a long journey. A knight without a kingdom fights for the one who can understand him. A soldier in peacetime fights the battle in his mind. we are hard shelled on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. When you drop your ice cream on the ground, mother says you can have another one, yet you still cry, fearing the day when there will not be another ice cream, another weekend, a familiar face, a just ruler. The Big City with a Small Town charm. Soft clouds, soft lighting. You can sleep in. All is forgiven. Breakfast goes till 2PMGet the double stack, it will not be too much.“
“Awesome food!! The owner was also SO friendly and kind, she greeted me with a huge smile. The food portions are quite generous and delicious! The kimchi is also super bubbly and fresh I couldn’t get enough. The prices are also the best I saw among all the others. For the quality, amount of food and super friendly owner I can definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back!! 맛있어요!“
“The tacos are really tasty (though I have only had the al pastor and chicken), I imagine the others are good as well. The Keto tacos are unique being a fired cheese shell, and are really good. The guacumole is chucky and plentiful both on the side or with their tasty nachos. The Mexican fried rice is a combination Spanish rice and Asian fried rice, very different and good. The burrito takes 2 hands to hold, it is big, also flavorful. I highly recommend eating here, I do at least once a week. The owners are also really nice people!“
“Nested in a nice food park, Saint Burrito has delicious burritos and friendly service. Ordered carnitas which was flavorful and had a slight crunchy texture from the searing. ? I also ordered the harbanero salsa but thought it would be a bit more spicy as a good middle ground of the choices. ALTHOUGH!, the salsa has a fantastic authentic roasted texture and color which I absolutely love. Will be returning.“
“I don’t know how authentically Turkish their offerings are, but their döner salads are a cut above salads at other halal carts. You get generous amounts of yogurt dressing, pickles, and olives. They used to include other pickled vege but no longer. Still an excellent halal cart salad. Other offerings are very solid, tho the falafel is a bit blander than other places. The salad is great tho.“
“Reeva makes a damn fine slice, that's for sure. Not too thick, not too thin: for us Portland pizza pundits, it's thicker than Otto's, thinner than just about everyone else. The pepperoni, with its included jalapenos and fermented chili honey, is incredible, and my wife said the Margherita is the best she'd ever had anywhere! They're a little on the small-ish side, with one pizza being enough for 1-2 people at most, and also a bit pricey for said size, but it's hard to top these toppings for quality and flavor! They're also fast, friendly, and conveniently located on Sandy for us Nor'easters! Don't believe-a? Eat at Reeva!Parking: Street parking only, but plenty of side streets.Wheelchair accessibility: Street-side with plenty of sidewalk.“
“First time having Jianbing and it was delicious. I loved the crunch of the wanton inside of the wrap. I got the spiciest version and it was almost perfect in terms of balancing the flavor of the tofu, eggs, oily wanton and the crunch of the lettuce. The only downside is that it is expensive and it did not fill me up for lunch, I definitely could’ve eaten 25% more and felt pretty satiated.“
“I just returned from a month in Colombia and the empanadas at this cart are better than any that I had in the whole country. Mind you I tried everything on their menu basically, the yucca fries, the plantain they have empanadas with beef and potato and the patacone with cheese, along with a couple of juices.Their patacone was delicious and the perfect line between crispy and soft. These were always a gamble in Colombia. Sometimes they would be so crunchy. Your teeth were hurt and other times they would be undercooked. This cart gets it perfect. I love it with just the cheese. It's simple and super delicious.I would definitely order that again, but the real stand out to me was the empanadas. They were perfectly lightly crisp, not greasy at all, and the filling was very well seasoned and flavored. It's also hard to find gluten-free empanadas anywhere else besides Colombian food so I love that. The ladies that were working, the cart were great and very helpful. The Arepas were pretty good with well seasoned meat, but I'm definitely more of a fan of Venezuelan Arepas with a lot of stuffing.Only change or feedback I request is to get rid of the lettuce on the items, and one day add Arepas de Chocolo with cheese to the menu because they haunt my dreams since I left--one week ago. Very authentic, try it you haven't visited Colombia or if you have!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“I have ordered from this crew several times. The service is impeccable— the team was willing to omit cheese, were friendly and helpful, and had a sense of humor. One of our party is a loyal fan of their empanadas. La Arepa NE served us our first arepas and we were hooked! The sauces are distinct and delicious. There are dairy free and vegan options. Best of all, it feels good to support a business where their cooks are talented AND deliver superb customer service. This truck is the shining star in this pod. Highly recommended.“
“Ribeye tacos!!! Mouth watering, so good.... I ate the whole plate.. no left overs for husband.. we will be returning again, and again, and again, and again... then we went shopping for clothes at MORBS clothes next door. This place rocks!! I can't wait to try the steak tacos... ? and then the panini!!“
“I miss this place so much, I remember going here during the end of the year of 2023, Fofo said that she would be closing :( I went to check it out on the way out of Portland and her food cart is no more. Her food was absolutely amazing. I am yet to find a place that could top her hummus and tzaziki. Absolutely unmatched and her kafta plate was amazing. And on top of that she was very nice and had a great sense of humor I miss fofo“
“There’s something for everyone here! You can bring a group and there’s a cuisine to satisfy every and any person! The craft cocktails are fresh and seasonal and there are 25 taps of local and award winning beers from sours to stouts, IPAs to lagers. The newer open space is incredible and has such a comfortable and welcoming feel!Cartside is one of the best hidden gems in Portland“
“I have been coming here to have lunch at least once a week for the last year and half.Service is the best and they are super quick on the orders. Food is superb. All tacos are good but the veggie tacos are outstanding. Lots of beans and a big chunk of avocado plus rice and other veggies. This place is also affordable and a great to-go option for lunch or after golf.“
