“Came in for a tripel, and unfortunately their selection had shrunken a bit. Nonetheless, I had a tasty Gulden Drak, followed by a Chara's Yelliw Card margarita. Great vibes, awesome staff, and they were bumping Tribe Called Quest Midnight Marauder album.“

“First Thursday every month, the venue showcases young artists. I am 68 years old and I came to see a 25 year old kid from my neighborhood. I had a blast. So much love and talent. One time, the bartender (I forgot his name, i feel so bad he's the best) noticed I was having a headache and brought me water without even thinking about it. “The poutine was just OK. They need to add pocked 9 ions and pickled jalapenos as standard and allow you to take them off if you don't like them. Also, the best poutine I have had has braised beef or pulled pork or some sort of meat to balance all the flavors.

The beer was very good. I tried their reserve stuff and their bourbon barrel aged beer and they were pretty good - all of them.“

I had the papermaker pale. Wow! Well poured, gold colored beauty, tastes like a beer dream, lightly piney on top, then a smoothly carbonated descent to hopville.. brilliant!
They treat you right at the Rudder, so close to the Willamette it probably barely stayed dry in ancient days. But they dont get you muddy. Kick back be patient they will row out to you.

“I've been going here for over 25 years. And of all the places in the entire world, this is one of my favorites.

The best part of going here is the staff.

I can tell you with 100% certainty these are some of the best bartenders in Portland.
Also, the quality of alcohol that McMenamins offers is second to none and probably some of the best in the world.
I often send it as gifts to friends abroad I can't believe the quality of the spirits.

I also enjoy the gift shop and it's usually open late.
If you want to get a cafe you can get one in the main courtyard restaurant to wrap out a wonderful evening.

What sets this place apart is the amazing amount of detail that you see all over at the Kennedy School property.
If you look online you can actually look up the designer and yes everything is crafted to suit even the landscaping is impeccable.

One of the best things to get here if you want to eat here is breakfast.

Lunch and dinner can be hit or miss but they do use the highest quality ingredients.

There is plenty of parking as well.
It can get busy but you're guaranteed to find some place to park.

They also have a variety of cigars in the cigar lounge and the gift store and the smoking areas located out in front.

One of my favorite parts of this facility is the fireplaces and I do enjoy them quite often.

Also make sure to bring a camera because there's so many things to take photos of here and there are a plethora a photo taking opportunities throughout the school.

This place also has a movie theater by the way, and the most comfiest seats you're ever going to sit in.

They also use real coconut oil in the popcorn and the popcorn is probably the best you're going to get in this neighborhood.

The gift shop is jam-packed with all sorts of great gifts and I routinely go here to get thank you gifts.
Selections change often so it's always up to date and fresh and there's always something new.

There's actually a small like mini hot tub type pool here as well.

There are often lots of events that are held here, and it's a joy to attend.

By the way if you like pinball they even have a pinball machine.

Of all the McMenamins I've been to this and edgefield are probably my favorite.
But I like McMenamins Kennedy School the best.“

“What can you say? All of their locations are basically the same. And that's what I love. Consistency. Our server was fabulous and funny. The pretzel and cheese sauce were friggin awesome! The Cajun tots were insanely coated in seasoning (thank goodness for the cool Ranch sauce). And the beer was cold!
