“I just had a really delicious bowl of (Boston style) clam chowder at Three Mermaids Public House in Tigard. It was so creamy, and comforting; and the small bits of bacon gave it over-the-top goodness. Honestly, all the food at this welcoming pub is worth trying, but I hadn’t expected to enjoy a bowl of soup as much as I did this one!“

“I enjoy going there when the bartender with the bangs and glasses is there because she's always very friendly and talks with me as I'm sitting at the bar by myself. She also makes sure to ask me if I'm enjoying myself and the food that I'm eating. However, the last time I was there, there was a male bartender with a mustache and he hardly said two words to me. Lame. I'm so tired of male bartenders that have the personality of a wet towel. If you don't enjoy being in the hospitality industry, find another career.
Also, for the 45 minutes I was there there was absolutely NO music playing. The whole vibe of the bar was completely different, and not for the better.
I really enjoy the food and I usually enjoy the service, but I think I'm going to make sure that I keep walking by on the days when the mustache man is there. Not trying to be sexist, but like I said... So many male bartenders in Portland have absolutely no hospitality or conversational skills. It gets old. I'm a blue collar worker who is also in the industry and I'd really like to have some genuine hospitality when I go out and spend my hard-earned money in local establishments. If I can maintain my hospitable nature after being in the industry for many years, surely YOU CAN TOO! Lol. It isn't that hard to be friendly, hospitable and welcoming. And if it is??? You're probably in the wrong industry.“

“The Muddy Rudder has (in my opinion) some of the best pizza that I've had in Portland. Their menu is pretty straightforward, good appetizers, pizzas, calzones, and some sandwiches and salads. Their beer list is ever-changing and always very good, there is a full bar so options for boozy drinks are available and kids can even get their own Shirley Temples, lime-aid, etc.
The staff is always friendly and the music is always great, whether it is played over the stereo or one of the many live acts they have performing on a number of nights each month.
When the weather is cold and the fireplace is burning there aren't many other places I'd rather be outside of my home.“

“Having grown up in Lake Oswego my whole life, I truly think this place is a hidden gem, and one of the best spots in downtown. No matter the season, this place is such a vibe. Summer and fall can be enjoyed on their lovely and spacious patio, whereas the winter months invite you inside, where you’ll find the coziest, living room like atmosphere, with a burning wood fire, and warm, inviting decor. It’s just great year round, truly!!“

“One of the best McMenamins experiences. Closest I've been to Old McMenamins when they opened years ago. Bartender exceeded expectations was well groomed great manners and very pleasant and approachable. Food was a better than expected. Possibly a model for corporate to use as far as customer service ambience and kitchen talent.“

“Our large group descended on Alberta Street Pub on an unassuming Thursday night and had a fantastic time grabbing some drinks, eating pub classics, and hanging out. Vibes were on point, with easy seating options and a huge bar, plus a spectacular bartender. She handled our large group with ease. A couple food options took awhile to arrive (veggie burger, etc) and my fried chicken wasn't the best I've ever had. But these are minor gripes for an awesome bar which was able to easily handle us at a moment's notice. 5/5 stars.“

“The poutine was just OK. They need to add pocked 9 ions and pickled jalapenos as standard and allow you to take them off if you don't like them. Also, the best poutine I have had has braised beef or pulled pork or some sort of meat to balance all the flavors.

The beer was very good. I tried their reserve stuff and their bourbon barrel aged beer and they were pretty good - all of them.“

“The Detroit Pizza was fantastic. Cheesy & Salty, not short on meat. Just a great pizza. The beer was pretty good too. We also got their cheese bread, and they were like top 10 on my list of cheese bread. So good. Our server was super nice, and we had not“

“Good place but always full. Probably cause they are the only video lottery place that ACTUALLY stays open until they’re posted hours which is until 2:30am. After Covid it seems like businesses close when we they feel like it no matter what’s posted online or in print on their building. And good luck finding anything open past 12am these days. But Richard’s is true to their hours and open late. So it makes sense why they are always full in the later hours.“
