“I’ve only been here twice but have been impressed both times by the quality of the food and the service. My in-laws visit on a weekly basis and so clearly, they are big fans! Servers have been very friendly and attentive on both my visits and the food was delicious. The first time, I got the chicken sandwich with caramel sauce and it was INCREDIBLE. Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The desserts, especially the donuts, are also really yummy! This is a restaurant I’ll definitely add to my rotation.“
“My husband and I are wine club members. This was our first experience and visit at this location. The view is spectacular overlooking the Columbia Gorge. Victor was our server and a great person to talk to. He knew the wines and did a wonderful job. The food was delicious. The location is easy to get to and had a warm and welcoming atmosphere.“
“Good, down-to-earth food. Nothing I've had here has been bad...as long as I ask for crispy bacon! ?. Usually really big portions but I have to say last time I went there they were MUCH smaller than what I've got in the past. Personally recommend you at least try something here though, the omelets are very good...ask for the homemade corned beef and hash omelet(not on the menu)“
“Just got home from a fantastic meal at Amaro's - the type you know you need to write about when you get home. First of all, our server, Tana, was an absolute gem and made our night feel very special. I am super grateful she was part of our evening. The food was spectacular. The fried chicken sandwich was SO good and SO interesting. Whatever the savory caramel sauce is on that sandwich needs to be bottled. It was like if you turned chicken and waffles into a sandwich, but better? I don't know. Just order it. You won't regret it. And the house was so kind to gift us some of their famous ricotta donuts at the end of the night for our first visit, which definitely will not be the last.11/10 highly recommend.“
“Delicious food, outstanding service. A new favorite brunch spot, for sure. We had the omelet with brie. Yummy, but not a fan of the rind left on brie. Yogurt, fruit, and granola dish is divine!!! Classic breakfast fair was prepared well. Service was fast and friendly. Gets busy on the weekends and a bit loud at full occupancy. Weekdays might be better. Nonetheless, a delightful new treasure discovered in The Couve.“
“One of Vancouvers' best spots! Family friendly and one of the most affordable places in town to feed a full family good home-cooked style meals with good portions. Everyone always leaves happy and satisfied the service is always great and we can feed a family of 5 cheaper here then most fast food places and we all get whatever we want!“
“We came here with high expectations (which may be the problem) due to some friends giving us raving reviews. We both were not blown away by the food. We enjoyed our meal but felt like it was very expensive for what we got. There wasn’t anything “wrong” with the food we just didn’t love the flavors and options on the menu. The service was great and we enjoyed the ambiance.“
“I always go to this Elmers. It’s the best none of them taste like this one. My sister recommended this Elmers to me and I went and I absolutely loved it. I tried a few years ago and another one by the Vancouver mall but it was so I highly recommend this one everyone is friendly. And food is quick.“
“I had a bacon cheeseburger on a gluten-free bun and it was amazing! However the sweet potato fries were disgusting and they had a very strange after taste. Also the atmosphere left much to be desired, it was small, and had more of a sports bar feel, it was also kind of loud. However, our server was very nice.Dietary restrictions: They do offer gluten-free burger buns, which are pretty good.Kid-friendliness: This is family friendly, my 2 year old had a great time and they have a good kids menu.“
“We have been coming here for 20 years. We have celebrated many, many birthdays here. On this day, we celebrated our daughters 20th birthday. We love beaches. Recently, we learned they will be closing down at the end of this year. We are very sad to hear this. We have so many memories here. The food is good. The staff is always amazing, friendly, and fun. The atmosphere is great, whether sitting inside or soaking up the sun on the deck with spectacular views of the Wilamette. We are going to miss Beaches very much.“
“Tap Union has my favorite sandwich I’ve had in my entire life: the italian grinder.Their beverage selection is always on point and the service here has never been disappointing. I try and come here at least once a month due to living pretty far away and they are consistently 5 stars. If you’re debating coming here, just do it. Don’t be intimidated with long lines or craziness. They’ll get you taken care of.Money saving tip: this is one of the few spots in downtown with their own parking lot if you’re looking for a lunch location.“
“We love Ben's. Chill, yet friendly vibe, great beers on tap, tons of great bottled and canned choices in the coolers to drink on site or take home.If you prefer wine, they have the most generous pours I've seen at a taproom. They've been working on the tiny kitchen quite a while, but the food situation seems to have stabilized. The shop salad is great, the mac and cheese with pulled pork is yum, and they have charcuterie boards, too.“
“Love the atmosphere in this place, especially upstairs! Very cute and chill place to have a drink and bite to eat with friends. I would say it’s typical bar prices, especially for cocktails. You order at the front and they give your drinks/food at your table with a number. There is two water stations both upstairs and downstairs, so it’s convenient! Their original cocktail menu that I have tried so far is decent, but not necessarily my favorite ever. Staff is friendly! I would definitely recommend stopping by if your in the Vancouver area!“
“Farrar's is our favorite restaurant !! I have tried quite a few of their menu options and have never had a disappointing meal. The gorgonzola Cheesecake and the spinach dip are two of our favorite apps. The steak bites, the pork bowl in the summer.... mouth watering. My family loves the Mac and cheese and the teriyaki bowl.Delectable eats!“
“Always a fun place to hangout, have a drink, and their new food menu is really impressive. We enjoy adult bingo, karaoke nights as well!Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs down to the bar from street level, including a turn. Not wheelchair accessible.“
“I brought a large party here. One of my guests scared off the service. (Sorry about that) It was a great time, feel bad about the weird door and chair situation. Large parties are tough! But Jake's was awesome. Great atmosphere. Awesome food.“
“Never had such good service at a bar before the bartender was great the food was great the atmosphere was awesome the band was so good we didn't even want to leave when it was time to go home we definitely will be backParking: Parking lot was really nice and there was big lights so your cars do not get broken into plus they have a really nice bouncer that keeps an eye on your carWheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair accessibility“
“Loved the food & drinks, everything was delicious! I’m still craving the avocado toast I had. We received vouchers to come here from The Supper Club.Wish there were more seating indoors, outside was too cold, we wanted to eat here.We ended up bringing our food to eat in the car after initially asking for here, we said to-go for lack of seating.Ended up waiting for 30 minutes but it felt like everyone had come & gone after us, but maybe that was just because it was a busy Saturday morning and they did mobile orders? Not totally sure!It was my second time coming here and I don’t remember having the lack of seating or waiting for a long time before.Last time there wasn’t the kitchen taking up the seating space!Overall very delicious food and would go again! But next time we would order it online or be prepared for a longer wait, and possibly no seating.“
“Decent old school diner with a classic vibe. There was only one other group of people on a Sunday afternoon, yet staff were all a bit gruff. Spouse ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered the chicken fried steak, but we shared. We thought the burger and fries were good, but the chicken fried steak was lacking flavor. It was covered in a thick layer of pepper-less white gravy, so we added the pepper ourselves, but thought that was a bit weird. Not a bad place to get a bite to eat, but there are definitely better options around too.“
“These sandwiches are delicious! They are very generous with the meat. I got the turkey bacon and guacamole on rye. My fiancé got the guacamole, chipotle mayo, ham on white. Service was great! The woman who helped us was very friendly. Would definitely recommend coming here!“
“When we opened the door we were greeted immediately!! The young lady that took our order was pleasant. Based off that alone changed my whole attitude. Food was great!! Waaaaaay better service than Chipotle next door to them. We walked in there first and customer service was poor... The girl ran her hands through her hair with her gloves on and then asked if she can help us. I was so disgusted by their overall customer service and sanitation therefore ended up at Killer Burger!! Best decision ever!! Killer Burger is Fabulous in my book!! I'll be back!! ??????????“
“Update 03 2024Another great meal at the the Uptown Barrel Room. . Service was superb, AGAIN, by Victoria.Great experience at the Uptown.Excellent Cheesesteak sandwich.Great attentive, friendly service .Better than average, tavern type vibes.Conveniently locatedHandicap ♿️DoableHighly recommended for a quick bite or a gang out with your buds.“
“love love love the looks of this place, drinks are yummy, a lil pricey(?) im new to bar world so im not too sure but im definitely a new regular. the booths in the back are super nice to get a drink, read a book and just chill for a min. the pool tables are nice and its always clean, I think the bartender drives a miata too so thats fire ^.^“
“So here it is...our server was friendly and lively even though it was packed for lunch. Delicious fat bacon burger comes with Hot tots that your lunch mates will steal off your plate!!! Breakfast for everyone else arrived hot and plated like a proper diner plate. Our table neighbors offered great lunchtime conversations too. Come in and support a good old fashioned and unpretentious business.Vegetarian options: Not bad“
“Yall! Mary took care of me here! I like to go to local diners in all the cities I visit and Paul’s is by far at the top of my list. I love French toast and I know it’s not hard to mess it up, but so many places do. I leave the diner saying “I could take or leave it”.Not this place! I would literally fly into PDX just to come back here and slam the French toast and hash browns. I was so impressed. It’s a cute little diner with a great menu and amazing food/service. If you’re thinking about it, just commit!“
“If you are looking for a burger and a shake this is a great option. Is it the best around? No, it's chain. There are better local options but it's in a good setting that you can walk some of that meal off along the Columbia. If you like noisy environments for your burger and shake then you'll might like it here.“
“Stopped into this local tap house and found a great hidden gem just off Mill Plain by trader joes. The drafts didn’t disappoint and the owner shared various events they are hosting through the spring like a sound bath and a jewelry making workshop. What a great place to enjoy choice taps and meet up with neighbors.“
“Great stop heading in or heading out of Portland...The oyster po boy was somewhat bland but my mixed green salad was very large and yummy. My wife's Fettuccine Alfredo might be the best we have either had in our entire life (no kidding)...Terrific mixed drink selection and assortment of tap handles.Everything is reasonably priced!“
“Service and food are very good ? I had the filet mignon, baked potato with all the fixings, and asparagus. Steak was the perfect med well, bearnais was so good I drizzled some on top of my asparagus too. Although the aesthetics are quaint with simple plating, it was clean with a very friendly energy. They serve food at the bar or on the Cafe side. It's a small space, but so worth the trip. The owner herself makes the best augratin potatoes which is offered as a side with the meal. They also offer a crab cake topped filet mignon for only $2 more.Pricing for filet mignon dinner was only $23. Rolls were also served at the table. This really is a great value for good food!!! This was on a Saturday when they also serve prime rib. I will definitely try that next visit!!!“
“Such a neat old diner. I felt like I was eating at my grandma's house. We ate here for a week while in town for a convention. We loved it and tried many plates. Our server was very friendly. Food was so good that I'm still missing it.“
“Overall this is a cute little pizza joint near NE Gher Road in Vancouver. It's easy to miss when you're driving by (FYI it's in a strip mall). The quality of the pizza is average... nothing super spectacular, or anything that stood out. This was my first time visiting, and I didn't realize my $30 pizza was missing one of the main toppings I ordered, so that was a bummer. When I called I was offered a coupon that would be mailed. I guess I have high standards for customer service especially since this was my first time eating there, but I gave them another chance and got pizza the following night, and they took a few dollars off (versus replacing the pizza which I would have preferred since missing pepperoni changed the entire taste, and what I paid for). I got it to-go, and by the time I got home the bottom of the pizza was soggy.Inside the restaurant is relatively small, but they have arcade games for kids. Seems like a nice little place for a kids birthday.Parking: Located in a strip mall in the middle of the complex (first floor).“
“The young lady at the front desk was the sweetest, most thoughtful person I have met in a long time. She made the end of a stressful day comforting. The morning chef made an excellent breakfast after a restless night. I was very comfortable there. Quiet and welcomed my dog!“
“Easy breezy vegetarian and vegan friendly food that I survived on through college. Delicious and friendly staff, kept me alive for 3 years.Vegetarian options: To my knowledge, the sauces are vegetarian, and most of the food is rice bowls!Dietary restrictions: My father has celiac and has never gotten cross contaminated from Cafe Yumm!“
“Attractive place for both adult and family-friendly meals/drinks. Good selection of beverages and food. Friendly staff. For some reason, we keep being disappointed by the food. Unremarkable fish and chips, and the calamari was just a bit boring. That said, the sweet potato fries were fantastic. So, we'll probably stick to snack food and drinks going forward.Kid-friendliness: Kids ok in the back.“
“The food is great with generous portions. I had the reuben sandwich and you could tell they make their own bread. The meat was tender and the sauerkraut was good. The fries had a nice seasoning that wasn't too overpowering. Definitely somewhere I will go “
“The best hidden gem I’ve found in a long time. Had what could possibly be the best chorizo breakfast burrito I’ve ever had, along with a very delicious michelada. Also couldn’t resist getting a quesabirria, which was just amazing cheesy goodness. Mad I’ve never been there before, but you can guarantee I’ll be coming back for sure.“
“It was nice. The volume was a bit loud at the beginning, but they got it fixed. Went on karaoke night. Loved the enthusiasm and opportunity for anyone to sing. My Cali burger needed a bit of seasoning. The fries were spicy but delicious.“
“Quality of food is fresh and tasteful. I ordered to go and read on the menu that unless asked for seperate, the sauce would be added into the bowl, it was not, and the small to go cup portion was hardly enough to spread to the entire bowl and was difficult to stir without ingredients falling out. The mushroom soup was delicious and hot.“
“The staff were great examples of wonderful customer service! We felt kinda bad about showing up a half hour before closing on a slow night. I know how it is, you start cleaning tables, refilling napkins and condiments and in walks customers ?. The stag made us feel extremely welcome and took great care of us, the pizza was yum and the beer... Yup!Big Thanks.“
“This is definitely a country kitchen, this isn't a hurry in hurry out type of place. The food is great and servers are always friendly. The portions are fairly large so bring your appetite.Parking: Parking can be a bit tight, but there is a lot of spots.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, you will need someone to get the door since there isn't automatic doors.“
“Nice bartenders good service good drinks! Really don't have a bad thing to say about the place. The back smoking area was nice. the owner had decorated very well with all the beer signs around the fenced area. This is my second time to the bar. Very consistent as far as service goes. I'll definitely be returning soon. Hard to find these kind of places.“
“Kareoke 7 nights a week, Skye is a wonderful bar tender and singer. 3 pool tables, plus some other games, including pull tabs. Drinks are reasonably priced and tasty. Food is awesome. Give the a shot gizzards which are a rare find and a few favorites that's been thrown out there is the Biscuits and Gravy and Lasagna!Parking: Holds around 40 cars at least, not mention plenty of curbside parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot rolls right into the door and smoking section includes a ramp. Plenty of area around stations to move in the chair without having to pop a wheelie.“
“My wife and I have made this our go-to breakfast place. The food and service are always outstanding. My wife consistently orders the breakfast sandwich. She says it is hands down the best one that she has ever had. My order varies, but never disappoints.“
“Courtnay is an amazing bartender with a great personality and she will always make you laugh she is very attentive to everybody and it's just in general awesome everybody should come here just to see Courtnay!Parking: There's a million parking spots oh my GodWheelchair accessibility: There are ample spaces“
“Had a quick lunch here while getting my glass done across the street and boy am I happy I did. This is one of the little spots that I would consider a hidden gem. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and I can tell you it came out with love. The onion's were kindly grilled, the bread was delicately toasted, the condiments and toppings were all so nicely stacked. This food was made with love you can certainly tell I really appreciate it. The ladies are so nice and the younger guy was always working hard. I wish I can give 10 stars. Great crew and food here check them out!“
“The real star of the show was the food and atmosphere. The food was delicious and not overly spiced. We had the Bayou Pasta, calamari, and chicken pasta. All the dishes were absolutely delicious. They make their fruit lemonade with real fruit as well, so that was a treat. The view on the river must be absolutely wonderful in summertime. You can see seals in the river during March, and lots of them! The Riverwalk in the area would be great as well. Definitely recommend and willing to return to this restaurant.“
“Decent food. Good service. Reasonable prices. Always busy.UPDATE April 2022...Still very busy for dinner. Service was still a high point .. professional , prompt and friendly , even more exceptional considering how busy they were this evening--thank you LQ!!I ordered the crab cakes appetizer , the sea bass and the lamb chops.Presentation was nice. The crab cakes were ok, not great. Definitely too bready and not enough crab , especially considering that we live in the PNW.The sea bass was very good...mild and flavorful. The lamb chops were also just ok too--a bit chewy and not quite warm enough. Not bad just not great. The vibe and buzz at Hudson s is good and definitely a plus. All in all ...come for the vibes and the service . Again, I thought most of the food could have been kicked up a notch or two.“
“Black Bear Diner in Vancouver offers a cozy, family-friendly dining experience with a menu that leans heavily towards traditional American comfort food. The diner is known for its hearty breakfast options, classic chicken fried steak, sweet potato fries, and a variety of salads and desserts. Popular among locals, the restaurant has garnered positive feedback for its flavorful dishes, particularly the chicken and waffles, and the consistently high-quality chicken fried steak.“
“We dined here a few times during our week- long stay at the Hilton. We had breakfast and lunch. Regional menu with decent quality ingredients. Our breakfast dishes were usually eggs and everything was cooked exactly as specified when ordered. Same with lunch. I asked for a few substitutions on my sandwich and it arrived just as I had requested. The only negative was the burger I tried, which was overcooked for my tastes. The staff is fabulous. They went above and beyond to make our meals enjoyable.“
“We had my Mom's retirement party here & it was perfect! The owners are very nice & accommodating. I live out of town & they where very quick to answer questions over the phone & by email. The food could not have been better. I highly recommend.“
