50 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Vancouver

“Visiting friends in Portland, they took us here for Breakfast. Loved the ambiance. After a 30-minute wait (we didn't have a reservation), we were finally seated and waited... and waited... and waited, eventually receiving our order after another 45 minutes. Two of three orders were wrong - I had ordered "The standard" - described as "the standard two eggs* with a choice of bacon or Zenner's sausage served with home fries or field greens and choice of toast". Got it with roasted potatoes. The waiter insisted that's how they would always come - but then served extra fries - and, to make up for the wait, comped us with some of the jummy sweet balls they show in their icon image. I found this nice, but also the only appropriate thing to do to save them from a two-star review. Because the server, whom I found uncharmingly stressed at first, really woke up and sped up his game, I would take the experience and try it again when we visit our friends next time. The place itself is very nice, and the food was tasty - and would under other circumstances qualify for four stars or more (if you have read my other reviews, you may remember that I am rather particular with five stars).“

“My brother and I went to the Cove last night and they got it right. Everything was excellent! I had the ahi tuna and my brother the scallops. Not a nite left. Even shared a dessert of butter cake ! Our server was awesome“

“What more can you want? It's has a small town vibe,i love that, but high quality ingredients. A great diner feel to it but progive ideas. The special today was a rubin burger. Sauerkraut and corned beef on a burger. Tip, get a little special sauce on the side. And skip the lettuce and tomato. It just takes away from the star of the show, the meat!! Lol

I highly recommend giving these guys a shot next time you crave gyros or middle eastern food. Think I may be a regular now haha.“

Considering I’ve been enjoying their food and service for 15+ years, it’s almost criminal that I haven’t shared my thoughts!

I’ll keep this short and sweet.

This place is fantastic! The food is an excellent value, and I’m honestly surprised they’ve managed to keep their prices reasonable while everyone else is jacking their menus through the roof.

Value aside, what really makes (or breaks) a place, in my opinion, is customer service. And this place has always been excellent.

What stands out to me is that I’ve been seeing the same faces working there for well over a decade. To me, that speaks volumes about the leadership. Customer service is hard, and as a former restaurateur, I know firsthand that the food service industry can be brutal. So it really says something when a restaurant can retain its staff the way this place has.

But the food? It’s great. We usually come for breakfast, but the lunches are delicious too.

The gold medal has to go to the Redneck Benedict. If I had to leave one negative, though, it’d be the burgers. The beef just isn’t very good, and it tastes pretty low quality. I honestly hate even saying that, but it’s true. Still, in 15+ years, that’s the only thing that’s ever disappointed me, and I don’t think that’s much of a knock.“

“Just needed a quick bite and went in for avocado toast - turns out they only had burrito 🌯 due to logical issue with avocados. 🥑

I’m flexible so went with sausage and cheese for $8. However, size was rather small for the price and it wasn’t all that different than frozen food quality.

The service was quick and place was spacious, so it’s perfect for relaxing in a quiet environment which does not feel cramped.“

“This atmosphere is like being at home. Warm cozy place, friendly staff and great food. If you go home hungry it's your fault. The portions are huge. Customer service goes beyond what you would expect these days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would, simply for how delicious the Rhubarb Crumble ice cream was. Perfect balance of sweetness and tartness from the ice cream base and the rhubarb swirl, and delicious buttery crunch from the brown sugar crumble. Sensational!!!!“

“We love Crave and have gone there several times. The mac and cheese is beyond great. We love the pasta they use, and the sauce is amazing. I always have extra to take home too. Not your grandma's grilled cheese is another favorite. I personally don't understand the bad reviews. It has been so great every time we go we have been completely satisfied and have told management several times. Compared to a lot of places and fast food at the same prices, it is a no-brainer. Thx Crave for our new place!“

“First time here today. It smells so good just walking in the door. I'm not sure of the spelling but Devon is so friendly and warm. He was very patient with my never ending questions If you haven't had their homemade bread, you should. I ordered a meat lovers and its as good as any pizza I can remember. It took me back to my favorite pizza as a child. The menu is pretty broad, everything we had I enjoyed. The service had me smiling. This is a phenomenal place!“

“The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great! Viktoria was very attentive and wonderful. We got the hummus appetizer. It was so tasty and the pita was warm and fresh. For our entrees we ordered the lamb chops, lamb kebobs, and the beef and chicken kebobs. They were very flavorful, especially the lamb. The portions are large, definitely enough food for you to take home for leftovers. The desserts are excellent too. I would absolutely go back to this restaurant again.“

“I stopped by Lil La Oie for brunch and was completely blown away. The vibe is charming, cozy, and cute patio — the kind of spot you instantly want to spend every sunny Sunday afternoon at. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and clotted cream, and wow. It was more like a dreamy bread pudding than traditional French toast — perfectly soft and custardy in the center with a golden, slightly crisp exterior. Topped with fresh, juicy strawberries and the most decadent clotted cream, it struck that perfect balance between rich and not overly sweet. And then… the alligator sausage on the side. Yes, you read that right. Alligator! It was flavorful, just the right amount of spice, and cooked beautifully. A fun and unexpected treat that totally worked. The service was warm and attentive, the food came out quickly, and the portions were generous without being over the top. You can tell there’s real thought and love behind every dish. Lil La Oie is doing something special — definitely adding this to my regular brunch rotation!“
