“Came in for a quick lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good. It hit the spot for what I needed. Also looks like a pretty cool place to hang out and have a beer. Plenty of TVs with sports on if that's what you are looking for.“

“We have been to the brick and mortar restaurant for breakfast three times now. Every time the place is clean and the service is quick, friendly, and attentive, regardless of the server. The food is fantastic and reflects a true love of cooking. I have had the juevos rancheros, the chilequiles poblanos, and the quesadilla. Their chips are made to order and come out hot, and the standard salsa served with them is roasted and well flavored. The prices are very reasonable and the menu does state that chips and salsa are not complimentary, and in this instance with the quality it's understandable. As a side note, the decorating is fantastic and provides wonderful ambiance! Glad to have found this little gem and can wait to come back for lunch or dinner service!“

The Death Row Plate is my go-to, a stacked sampler loaded with Hurricane chicken, Korean fried chicken, and poke that will knock your balls clear across Pacific Hwy. Also… the grilled shrimp plate?? Absolute menace. I could eat 100 of them like candy and still be looking around for more. And the mac salad that comes with every plate? Should be illegal. I’m pretty sure it violates at least three laws. To top it off, the owner runs this place solo, in there every day, grinding, serving every plate herself until she sells out. And she sells out every single day. She’s born and raised Oahu, so you’re getting so you’re getting the real deal, no mainland shortcuts, no watered-down flavors, just straight island heat. “Wow! This spot has been on my list of local Hillsboro restaurants to try for a while. Finally took the opportunity last night and had a great experience. Comfy, casual with wonderful service and a diverse menu that caters to everyone. We ordered burgers and needed to make dietary adjustments which were happily accommodated for through substitutions. The prices are slightly higher but the quality and portions justify the cost.

My veggie burger was moist and homemade, no artificial meat or grain fillers- a rarity with ‘beyond’ and ‘impossible’ meats taking majority in the vegetarian selection. Side salads are included with all burgers as well as potstickers. I would purchase the dressing bottled to take home, it was delicious! Looking forward to returning to try more.

“I've now been there twice after playing disc golf at Pier Park and twice myself and my friends have been blown away! Took different people there this time around and they were surprised at how great it was! I've now tried four different kinds of street taco and each one of them is excellent! The Al Pastor is the best I’ve had around the Hillsboro/Beaverton/Aloha area! The owners working the truck were very friendly and you could tell they liked what they were doing. Highly recommend!“

“Genuinely one of the best teriyaki meals I’ve had in the local area! Their portion sizes are very generous and tastes are amazing, with old school prices like 2015. The ribeye teriyaki is my personal favorite. Their kimchi is also fresh, perfectly seasoned, and only $1.50 for a medium sized cup, I am not sure if they make it in house but they could fool me that they do. I can also say their chili sauce that they send home is great too, most places keep it simple with sriracha, but their chili has the perfect heat and sweetness!
We also tried their egg rolls and pot stickers and they’re crispy and flavorful. Would really recommend coming here for a quick meal, their lunch special is especially affordable. Our family has been coming here for over 15 years!“

“From Silverton, Oregon and I went hunting in eastern Oregon and I harvested an amazing black bear I looked around for a butcher and nobody was taking any wild game. I called the meeting place and they said they were in drop offs were from from 10 AM to 2 o’clock p.m. I was instantly met with an amazing staff that was knowledgeable, kind and very friendly. I ended up meeting a manager that ran their wild game department, which I have to say that woman is just absolutely amazing with information. Very knowledgeable answered every question I had honestly I was a little hesitant about going all the way to Portland area for a butcher, but I have to say there is no finer butcher team in Oregon that I honestly can say I would rather use other than the meeting place I will continue to use them for all of my game processing absolutely amazing team great greetings just an absolute nice people to deal with most booster shops are very blunt. Some can say not very friendly straight to the point and bye-bye not this place this place is energetic very friendly, respectful kind very knowledgeable. You will not find a better butcher shop in Oregon from what I have seen and I have seen just about every butcher shop we have in Oregon. These guys are top notch if you’ve never left a butcher shop completely smiling and having a great experience you should take the drive to Hillsborough and try these guys. Absolutely amazing. Cannot say enough about these people.“

“I've always had decent food here at Bannings. This morning I ordered Pumpkin pancakes.....what a disappointment. The pumpkin batter needed salt added to it and it also could have used a bit more sugar in the batter. The syrup was not real maple syrup but table top ad says, "warm maple syrup," so I expected real maple syrup. It also says, "whipped butter." I asked the waiter about the maple syrup and he told me it was "artificial" maple and argued the fact that the restaurant never said "real" maple syrup. Maybe the butter is whipped margarine...who knows what liberties are taken in menu descriptions. I'm a "real" maple syrup customer.“

“I had Momo for the first time ever just a few weeks ago at the Hillsboro farmers market. They were absolutely delightful and the spicy sauce had good flavor and the perfect amount of heat. “I walked up to order and saw loads of basil in front of me getting ready to be turned into something delicious. I ordered a small order of arancini balls. I was delighted that I could choose different ones on the same order. They had 4 varieties and all sounded amazing. I ordered the original mozz and the pepperoni and mozz. Then I could choose from 4 different sauces and I chose the original marinara. These were so good along with the sauce that I can’t wait to go back and try all of them but next time I’m ordering the large for sure! Additionally I ordered the Italian chopped salad and added grilled chicken and soppressata dry cured ham. It was an explosion of flavors! The grilled chicken was so good along with the ham. I can’t wait to go back and try more. Next I’m trying either the eggplant parm sub of the vegan pesto pasta, especially after witnessing the mound-o-basil. I won’t be forgetting the large aracini balls either ;)“
