There were 2 people making coffee, one person taking orders and money. There were at least 3 other people doing something in the back. No energy or even greeting. I usually choose Dutch Bros for the high energy, friendly service. They didn't all for my app and when I mentioned it they had already closed me out.Very very disappointing experience. It was like this the day before too and I forgot to scan my app that time. “My 1st time at this restraurant since it changed from nacho mammas. Food is great, I got an order for pick up, got home and the taco salad we ordered was not there. Called the restaurant, they apologized and said would add extra guacamole and sour cream (they did) I pulled into the parking lot and Ryan immediately showed up to my car with the order! “We always go to this Screen Door when we are in Portland. The staff are always a delight and this trip was no exception. Davi was charming and friendly and attentive, and all the staff were working hard (always so busy!) There was a teeny, tiny glitch with our order taking a while (we weren't concerned but the staff were so distraught that their efficient system had gone awry, lol!) We appreciated their gesture of discounting our ticket, but didn't think it was necessary. We were having such a good time with Davi and all the staff that the time passed quickly. I’m not a big fan of still being hungry after I drop that much money on a meal, and that will keep me from coming back.“

Our server Stephanie was very helpful in giving us recommendations on what to try and she was very personable. We landed on the brussel sprouts, falafels, and lamb belly. The brussel sprouts were perfect, falafels delicious, and lamb belly was probably the best lamb I've had, though I did think it was a little too charred for my liking. My husband enjoyed his hot toddy and my sweet fruity mocktail surprisingly went really well with dinner. They've chosen good pairings. Cute little place too!“

“First time eating Sri Lankan, and I think it is my favorite. Helps that I had a Sri Lankan friend with me to order and everything was delicious. Flavors that made my mouth happy. Spicy but not too much. We had two different types of roti, string hoppers, dishes with eggplant, chicken, jackfruit, and pop sambol. Flavors were out of this world. I got the Coconut Chai Tea and also tried The Arabic People Latte (actual names, swipe right to see menu) and they were both superb. The coffee was beyond smooth and just the perfect hint of cardamom. The chai tea also had a subtle note of coconut in one of my all time fav and go to drinks. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Part of going is definitely for the experience! “Quick pit stop, but ordered the following: - Irish stout 16oz - Blueberry inferno 8oz - Bourbonic biscochito 8oz - Foccacia w ricotta We really enjoyed the stout! Some of the best stout we've had - not very high in ABV, but very tasty. Unfortunately, they only have growlers of this when we asked if they had cans. Blueberry inferno was indeed quite spicy. Def try a sample before committing to a whole glass. Personally, wouldn't get this as a solo drink, unless you're into a spicy, alcohol drink. However, it was worth trying and we split amongst the table. Bourbonic had notes of bourbon, not bad, but nothing too crazy either. Foccacia w ricotta was a perfect snack to line our tummies. Big enough to split between 2 people.“

“The fact that they have lihing powder as a topping already sets the bar! I luckily stumbled upon this little gem as I was walking through the area. I find it very hard to find a good shave ice place on mainland. And I was especially surprised to find one in Portland! Wailua shave ice is a Hawaiian style shaved ice place. They make their ice very thin and soft and nothing like your typical snow cone. The fact that the owners are from Kauai is a bonus as my family is from there as well. They most certainly do not skimp out on syrup or toppings. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. The only downside is that they do not have indoor seating. However, there are plenty of benches you can sit at nearby the store itself. This will be added to my must stops in Portland!“

“I just returned from a month in Colombia and the empanadas at this cart are better than any that I had in the whole country. Mind you I tried everything on their menu basically, the yucca fries, the plantain they have empanadas with beef and potato and the patacone with cheese, along with a couple of juices.Their patacone was delicious and the perfect line between crispy and soft. These were always a gamble in Colombia. Sometimes they would be so crunchy. Your teeth were hurt and other times they would be undercooked. This cart gets it perfect. I love it with just the cheese. It's simple and super delicious.I would definitely order that again, but the real stand out to me was the empanadas. They were perfectly lightly crisp, not greasy at all, and the filling was very well seasoned and flavored. It's also hard to find gluten-free empanadas anywhere else besides Colombian food so I love that. The ladies that were working, the cart were great and very helpful. The Arepas were pretty good with well seasoned meat, but I'm definitely more of a fan of Venezuelan Arepas with a lot of stuffing.Only change or feedback I request is to get rid of the lettuce on the items, and one day add Arepas de Chocolo with cheese to the menu because they haunt my dreams since I left--one week ago. My mom ordered mushroom and butternut scramble. The potatoes were over fried and my biscuit was over baked. Nothing special at all about any of the foods we ordered. It was quite busy and loud inside when I went, which meant there weren't any tables inside, and most of the outdoor seating was taken. “This was my family’s first time eating at Mestizo and we were not disappointed. I have Celiac and my daughter has a severe dairy intolerance. For once, all 3 of us were able to order several dishes to SHARE! This never happens at restaurants with our many dietary restrictions. My non-GF/DF husband loved everything, too. Note: the entire restaurant is 100% gluten free and Celiac safe, but there is dairy present in some of the dishes. However, it was very easy for them to accommodate us by taking an ingredient off, etc. Our favorites were the fried shrimp, elote, fish tacos, and the chicken tinga tostados. The drinks were also amazing. The waitstaff is attentive and kind and our food came out super fast, but still incredibly fresh. The flavors are what put this restaurant over the top for me. Everything had a very specific (delicious) flavor that made the dish special. Do NOT miss out on the GF gem! (I suggest getting a reservation for weekend nights and possibly even weekday night.) I am somewhat of a beer connoisseur, and Stickman surprises me pleasantly each time. The beer selection is very nice and varied. The Belgian blonde I tried today has been absolutely perfectly crafted.The service both times was quick, professional, and courteous. I love the comfort of the space, which on a cold March day, and near freezing temperature outside, is cozy, warm and wants you to just stay for just one more pint.Heads down the best experience I have had in many years!!!
