“My wife brought me here for my 70th birthday. She asked, "where would you like to go?" "Surprise me.", I told her. Oh my! My grandmother from Puebla, Mexico would have loved this place. The tortillas were fresh, Handmade! I ordered the Pozole. Oh so rich and fragrant and bustling with pork, hominy and a very wonderful broth. Did I mention the tortillas?? Oh Lord!! I plan to bring my three adult children here for my son's birthday. I plan to eat my way through the menu, over the course of the next year or so. I can see that there are many others who love this place. The entire time we were having dinner, there was a steady stream of people coming in for takeout. Yep, this is a gem of a restaurant. Come enjoy.“

I could get a cup of coffee anywhere but this shop has become more than just great food and drinks - it’s a place for neighbors to gather and the owners have fully invested themselves in our community. Love the breakfast sandwiches, my daily coffee and Friday evenings on their back lawn with a beer and friends!“

“Twice now I’ve eaten at Ox. I came back for the Clam Chowder with Smoked Bone Marrow as it left such a lasting impression. This time, we tried the Skirt Steak with the Radicchio & Romaine Salad. “We have tried Salt&Straw at various locations and states. Very consistent across it all.

Open concept design. Benches against giant windows to feel the breeze (it was a hot day). I’m sure wintertime they shut it tight. Bathroom inside (need a code).

The staff were very patient and friendly. You can ask as many samples as you want. Even if there’s a line, it usually move fast. Creamy, strong flavor, good quality ice cream.

The menu has interesting options. Even though we have been to many locations, we still haven’t tried them all. There are tubs and merchandises on display if you like a souvenir.“

“Cute little breakfast diner. The gentleman and his wife that owned this restaurant are very very nice.

I had the corned beef hash with hash browns, poached eggs and pancakes. The corned beef hash is fresh and made in store. It's not the canned stuff.
Pancakes had a very nice sweet savory flavor and just the right amount of crisp around the edges. Poached eggs and the hash brown were plain and perfect.

“Visiting from Los Angeles , gotta say as a former resident of NYC this pizza definitely can hold its own against the heavy hitters on the east coast. Delicious whipped ricotta dipping sauce with garlic and a touch of honey. The crust was perfectly baked and the texture really can’t be beat anywhere around here. The best pie we’ve had in Portland for sure. And the friendly staff and homey atmosphere was so welcoming! Shout out to our waiter from Queens who chatted us up. Highly recommend !!“

Absolute menace. I could eat 100 of them like candy and still be looking around for more. And the mac salad that comes with every plate? Should be illegal. “I have been to this wonderful spot a million times but stayed in my comfort zone of the tacos. I've literally had them all, even the burrito, and burrito bowls. However, something told me that comfort and change can't sit together so I decided to try something new tonight. I tried the scrumptious pulled Jack sandwich, which came with heaping sides of Mac and cheese, and greens. I also got my 6 yr old the tamales. Before I noticed he scarfed down his tamales and was asking for a bite of mine. I was only able to try a single bite of his and man oh man I wanted another one just for myself lol... Here we both are now both stuffed to the max but of course, what a good dinner with a great dessert. We are eating the yum yum yummmaaay blackberry peach cobbler... If you ain't been here, get here, and if you have, try something different next time, I bet you'll love it better or just the same as your favorite.

To top it all off she is such a majestic being, very social( I mean we all have our days right?) and down to earth, and her love language is servitude!!!

“They seem to have moved into a permanent location. Not certain if the bus is still in operation. Very inviting space and friendly service. The location has ample seating options and lots of big windows for natural light. Large selection of traditional styles of coffee, but I was in the mood for something cold. Server recommended the Minty Thing, and it was amazing!“

“Yes. This place is good. I got the “spicy chicken strips.” They were beautifully fried and crisp. I like my heat and they were not spicy. Still an enjoyable texture, however.

Their side tenders came with pickled radish which was refreshing and not too sweet.

Their side of kimchi mac was a star. Slightly spicy and tasty.

I think when I come again, I want to try their curry mash as that’s suppose to be unique as well.

What really sets this place apart though is it seems like the staff are all very happy. They work together like a well oiled machine, greeting people by name when they come in and laughing and joking. It's nice to see a place feel sweet and homey, all while drinking some of the finest coffee I've had in Portland.“

My top place for smash burgers. B.Y.H. was but the prices and longer wait times drove me away. Life hack: walk up and order. Then, walk across the street and get an iced awesomeness, or hit the Oakshire up for an adult bevie while you wait. When the brick and mortar is open, I am sure the wait times will drop. Still though, don't forget their neighbors for dessert or nightcaps.“
