50 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Hillsboro

“Wow! This spot has been on my list of local Hillsboro restaurants to try for a while. Finally took the opportunity last night and had a great experience. Comfy, casual with wonderful service and a diverse menu that caters to everyone. We ordered burgers and needed to make dietary adjustments which were happily accommodated for through substitutions. The prices are slightly higher but the quality and portions justify the cost.

My veggie burger was moist and homemade, no artificial meat or grain fillers- a rarity with ‘beyond’ and ‘impossible’ meats taking majority in the vegetarian selection. Side salads are included with all burgers as well as potstickers. I would purchase the dressing bottled to take home, it was delicious! Looking forward to returning to try more.

“Had a wonderful Veterans meal at thr Tanasborne location. Casey was our server. She was very professional and friendly,. Everything was prepaired just as requested, and she stopped by to ask if everything was OK 3 or 4 times. The best Veterans meal I have ever had. Will be returning again many times before next year. While I waited watching one of their big screens I noticed 3 servers ask one man if he needed another beer.The last one took the glass so theyd stop asking. Great food and better service.“

“From Silverton, Oregon and I went hunting in eastern Oregon and I harvested an amazing black bear I looked around for a butcher and nobody was taking any wild game. I called the meeting place and they said they were in drop offs were from from 10 AM to 2 o’clock p.m. I was instantly met with an amazing staff that was knowledgeable, kind and very friendly. I ended up meeting a manager that ran their wild game department, which I have to say that woman is just absolutely amazing with information. Very knowledgeable answered every question I had honestly I was a little hesitant about going all the way to Portland area for a butcher, but I have to say there is no finer butcher team in Oregon that I honestly can say I would rather use other than the meeting place I will continue to use them for all of my game processing absolutely amazing team great greetings just an absolute nice people to deal with most booster shops are very blunt. Some can say not very friendly straight to the point and bye-bye not this place this place is energetic very friendly, respectful kind very knowledgeable. You will not find a better butcher shop in Oregon from what I have seen and I have seen just about every butcher shop we have in Oregon. These guys are top notch if you’ve never left a butcher shop completely smiling and having a great experience you should take the drive to Hillsborough and try these guys. Absolutely amazing. Cannot say enough about these people.“

“Love this brewery! Staff are friendly, the beer is absolutely top notch, place is small but cozy and inviting! Generally have some excellent shanties playing and a dart board in the corner...taste of Irish, anyone?! Brewer does a phenomenal scotch ale, and the Meanderin' Mandarin Pale Ale is delicious. I could drink that stuff for brekky! Comedy nights, bottle swaps, and other events on a regular basis. Check them out! Kudos, Three Mugs!“

“Excellent weather to go to a winery. There are hundreds of vineyards around Oregon, and I try to take the time to check some of them out when possible. This year however we’ve made it more of a priority. This one is right close to our home (about 15 minutes away). One of my all time favorite wines is the Toasted Cow White Blend from Oak Knoll. Sweet but not too sweet and light and refreshing, perfect for a Summer’s day. Highly recommend.“

“Great food, very lovely staff. They have some of the quickest service I've had at any Thai restaurant before. Their pad Thai is great, and their soups are divine. I especially love how they thoroughly steep their tea for the Thai iced teas unlike Ma Now in Tanasbourne. Overall, this is a great little Thai restaurant and the dishes are incredibly flavorful.“

“Blizzard wines is one of the most unique wineries I’ve been to and I’m a retired sommelier that saw the rise of Napa Valley in the early 1980’s. Dana and Nick Blizzard started making wine in her parent’s garage and now have expanded with a world class tasting room to go with their world class wines. What really attracted me to become a wine club member was their Grower Champagne selections that they import. Andrew and Michelle are seasoned and educated wine pros that make you feel like family. “I came across their wines at the wine shop near our house in Yachats. I was visiting a friend in Portland and we happened to drive by a sign saying the vineyard was a few miles away, so we stopped by and had a tasting flight. The staff was super friendly, as was Steve, the owner. We bought some amazing wine and just really enjoyed our afternoon.“

“Service was fast, server was very friendly, my husband and I both had a Moscow Mule which was tasty, and a hummus plate which was just your typical hummus plate. Dog friendly, so it was nice to be able to be in the lounge area by the fireplace with our doggos and relax with a drink. It has a business/laid back vibe to it, but low key, which might be just perfect for business travelers. My husband and I live in the area, so we wanted to go check this place out. Amberglen Park right across the street which is a perfect place to go for a walk, or even with your dogs ❤️ We would go back again.“

“We went and got some ribs from them last night. I think they may have thrown in a few extra since we only ordered a half rack. Wow! You can tell why they have been voted best in Hillsboro. “Coyote’s Bar and grill catered an event for me last December. The food was amazing and the staff was so professional and everything was perfect. I would recommend their catering service to everyone.“

“Quality ingredients, and super worth if you get their $10 cheeseburger combo before 4pm (comes with truffle fries and a fountain drink). Burgers are cooked to medium by default unless you ask for it to be cooked differently (stated in small print on their menu)

Even without the deal: fair pricing in my opinion, all things considered. I could see some people thinking the burger looks a little small, but I think it's a pretty typical size. It's just a little taller with a smaller circumference, but it gives it a better meat to bread ratio in my opinion. Good size for me but for someone with a larger than average appetite or greater caloric needs, you'd probably want to get the double or get two cheeseburgers.

More thoughts:

Was a first time customer as someone from out of town just passing through. Got the $10 deal. Service was friendly and the staff seem very hardworking.

Burger: Solid burger. Thick juicy patty (1/4 lb) and decent beef quality. Personally would prefer a less shredded lettuce. Cheese coverage could've been better but I think that's just how the slices come (and I might be nitpicking at this point). Can't speak on the pickles since I got my burger without them.
Fries: Great texture. The fry sauce is nice. I think I would actually prefer them without the truffle oil but I can see why other people would like it a lot.

Guessing they don't have tomato as an option. Didn't see it anywhere on the menu but also didn't ask. Would be a nice option to have to be able to add on (if it's not already one).

Came in during a slow hour and was there long enough to observe a bit of a lunch rush. Self service kiosk should maybe be moved a little further to the side from the face to face order taker spot. I think that minor change would improve order taking efficiency and would probably make the line more pleasant. Some customers seemed to have a strong preference for the self service kiosk but it created a slightly awkward line that blocked the face to face ordering.

Bathroom was pretty clean but they did not have seat covers stocked. I appreciated that they did not have air hand dryers (paper towels are way more sanitary anyways).

Overall, solid, charming burger spot. Definitely thoroughly enjoyed my food. Will likely be back if I'm ever in the area again.“

We cooked the regular one first. It was horrible. Almost inedible.
I contacted the manager who explained that tge crust was made incorrectly and offered to replace my pizzas on my next visit.

“First & foremost, the customer service here is world class. The kind lady at the front taking orders answered all of my many questions about what was vegan & did not look annoyed even after several followup questions. While the restaurant has a vegetarian section, it does not label vegan options clearly. But they are more than happy to let you know what is vegan if you ask. Just make sure to specify you are vegan & provide a quick explanation of how vegan is different than vegetarian. They use vegetable oil to cook food. If you also have an issue with MSG like I do, your only option will likely be the tofu plate, which is what I got. It was great & had a lot more flavor than I anticipated. Will absolutely be getting it again in the future! If you are just vegan, here's the options: - tofu plate (pan fried tofu, white rice, & steamed broccoli, carrots, & cabbage) - tofu yakisoba - vegetable yakisoba - hot & spicy tofu - hot & spicy vegetable - tofu fried rice (not on menu, but it is available) - tofu fried rice - steamed vegetables & rice NOTE: the tofu katsu is NOT vegan“
