Took my date here and had one of those nights you actually remember. The setting and atmosphere are incredible — intimate, unique, a little moody, and unlike most places in Portland. It made the entire evening feel special.
The staff genuinely wants you to have a great experience and was attentive and helpful throughout the night. The kitchen clearly puts a lot of effort and creativity into what they’re doing, and the food only added to the experience.

Fantastic food, but the mezcal, charanda, and aguardiente selection is excellent! Apparently the PNW Agave Club meets upstairs. Food was really damn good too!
The three of us ordered 6 different cocktails and sampled each one. Drinks are fun and vibrant. Love that they have a map in their menu for sweet vs dry and boozy vs acidic. It helps when deciding what to order. The bartender was also helpful with recs and describing the drinks as well. I definitely want to come back to Comala and also try Lillia next door for dinner.
