“Thai Basil - The food is excellent and the whole place is decorated beautifully. About six months ago, I noticed a little area of used boxes was starting to collect directly in front of their back wall under some impressive wall art. Two nights ago, I saw that it had mutated into a mountain of empty boxes resting on bags of rice! After complimenting the woman serving us our dinner on the quality of the food and the beauty of the décor, I asked her why the boxes were there in plain view of all the customers. She said they were used for take-out. When the small number of boxes were ostensibly over-looked by customers, the owner (possibly unconsciously) decided that the main focal wall of his restaurant was the perfect place for all the boxes that were shipped to the restaurant. He stopped seeing them as messy and they were now in a convenient place and a great way to recycle. It was shocking to see as the wall of boxes was at least 4’ high, covering some of the lovely wall art.I'm writing this in the hope that the owner sees this and finds a better place for the boxes and bags of rice - and restores this area back to the beautiful focal point that it was designed to be.Once again - great food and service!“
“Malees is always my go to Thai food spot. My usually order is pad Thai, seafood fried rice, and Thai tea. Always hits the spot! I have only dined in once or twice and it was always good service. I usually do to go. I would recommend calling in your order to have it ready. This place always cures the Thai food cravings!“

“This is a family owned and operated business with a very unique take on wood fired pizza. All of their pizzas are good with amazing crust. The Banh Mi pizza is very popular for a reason. I liked it best and the Burrata was also very tasty. Good beer too. The only downside to this place is that it is small and busy. This spot is like a must try spot!! It's like you haven't been to Portland oregon if you haven't been here..There are lots of street parking available which is quite easy. Ihighly recommend getting one of their combos where you can try multiple things!.I got 2 hat yai combo ($20) to share between 4 people, each combo came with a fried chicken leg quarter, wing, sticky, rice, malaysian-style curry & roti (flat bread). it was all sooo good (+ a lot of food for a good price), I was in tears of joy as I'm eating this combo..* roti: hand made tortilla/crepe, its thin and crispy. dip it in the curry & I was wow! It's crispy, loaded, packed with umami and even comes with some veggies and rice for the perfect bite. The laos dipping sauce is also essential for it. Some other honorable mentions are: Laotion beef jerky, waterfall steak, nam khao and the salt and pepper shrimp and squid. OOH and you can't forget the beignets with all the dipping sauces for a savory dessert or of course, the classic mango sticky rice that you can have customized with different flavored sticky rice. Each dish had its own unique tasting delicious flavor. Not where some places all the dishes look different, but tasted all the same. And I know that a lot of us have been to places like that before. The dishes they brought out were pretty big in size. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. This restaurant seems pretty popular, because when we were there, it was pretty packed with people. Only one server/waiter, so please be patient and try out the awesome tasting food.“

I really appreciate that it has a different section on the menu because it makes finding what I can have a lot easier, without having to customize any of it. Takeout: When I came for takeout, the waiter still offered me water and a table which was very nice. The wait was not long at all and all of the food was hot and delicious. I liked the decor and it kept me occupied during my pretty short wait Dine in: I loved the plating of the food, and there's some cool tables here. We sat at a normal booth but they have one right next to a big window and it looked cozy. They also have outdoor seating but it's still cold outside so I haven't experienced that yet. I got a thai green tea which I'd never had and was in love with it. Pricing: Main dishes were around 15-20, my sides were like ~10, the green tea was 6.50 I wouldn't say it's competitive, but I don't think the prices are offensive either. Please don't forget to tip“
