“Great atmosphere and food. The covered seating with fire pit and table heaters were a big plus. Bartenders inside were very friendly with a great selection of beers and cocktails. Yummy assortment of carts to choose from.“

“Thai place that's kind of hole in the wall, and it's pretty good. I like to get pad woon sen, the noodles are very delicious. Pineapple fried rice was my previous go to before that, and what is good is that they will substitute brown rice so that's helpful for dietary restrictions. I'm a regular and so occasionally they have surprised me with some small snacks when I get the receipt like a mandarin or a cookie. I liked that :)
Dietary restrictions: Substitute brown rice“

“An absolute neighborhood gem!! I wish I lived here because I would be back at least once a week for the Chor Muang (Royal Flower dumpling). The flavors were big, and each dish has a special connection to the Thai cuisine, and the owner is so kind and personable sharing his vision behind the dishes.“

“Ordered the pad see ew with tofu (to go). My pickup was prompt, service was friendly, and food was great!
I thought the flavors were perfect, and not overly seasoned. Don’t change a thing!
Veggies were fresh, tofu had good texture.
Will be back to try more menu items! ?“

“The food was thoroughly delicious! Packed with flavor, without being too salty or dressed-up.
No flavors from any other food on the grill intruded on mine (at many other places I'll notice a fishy taste in fish-less dishes, not the case here)
The owner is personable and very welcoming, and you can tell the meals have been well thought-out and the cooking methods perfected!
The portions left me satisfied, with plenty to take home for later. Absolutely will be coming back!“

“This is my favorite Thai food spot in all of Portland, maybe in all of the US. Their food is delicious, and their service is top notch. I cannot resist the Pad Kee Mao, and the House Curry is also amazing. We get take out for all our out of town guests from here. Don't walk, RUN, to this great place.“

“I visited Ma-Kin Thai & Sushi for the first time to meet a friend for lunch, and it was a great experience! I was craving Thai fried rice, so I ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice, while my friend went with the Pad Kee Mao. Both dishes were delicious--perfectly flavored and cooked, though I could have asked for mine to be a bit spicier! The service was quick and friendly, making the meal even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be back to try the roast duck fried rice next time!“

“Great place. Crispy pork was out of this world. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was friendly, inviting and comfortable. Great place to eat. I have not had a lot of Thai food, but if it is half as good as here, I am a big fan. Go here and you will not be disappointed.“

“After we made a quick call to them warning of our approach, PDX Thai was able to seat my posse of 12 and pump out our food in record time. It was all top-quality, and the service and the ambiance was truly wonderful. I had a great time there, and I'll definitely be coming back for more soon!“

“Best Thai food I've had in forever. Menu is broader than the avg Thai place. And all the dishes we got were just so fresh and well prepared. The staff were so nice and the service was just great. In town for a week for a conference. If it were closer to our conference hotel id go every night
Vegetarian options: Most entrees come with choice of protein which incöudes tofu or no protein as choices
Parking: We parked close by on the street..but it was a quiet nite..on a busy weekend night it might be harder“

“Super cute little place. I am a Tom Kha fanatic, and they have a great rendition of it! We also ordered crab rangoons, and holy basil fried rice. Everything was fantastic and full of all the flavors. The service is great, smiles all around. The atmosphere is tastefully rustic, making it comfortable. We will be back!“

“What Thai restaurant doesn't have ginger? I also asked for an additional tea bag for my pot of tea and she refused unless I wanted to pay extra. FOR A TEA BAG! So I had weak tea and no ginger in my meal. They have fresh ginger next door at Fred Meyer ... I should have went and bought some while waiting for my order. Food was pretty but just okay. Then was charged $4 for the 2 little tiny cups of hot tea I drank.“

“Been here twice, older lady super friendly. Food was delicious, hot and fresh. Clean restaurant. They have a good lunch special menu, with a good portion size .
Husband really liked the duck curry, coconut soup was very good, shrimp spring rolls, cashew nut stir fry was good a little too sweet for me but I also had it mild no spicy, veggies were crunchy. All good food“

“Shrimp pad Thai: whoever the chef is, he or she loves me. I’m sure of it. Perfectly cooked shrimp and spicy enough to regret my decisions afterward (only temporarily). Was warned by the server to not get the “hot” and, against my perceived better judgement, I acquiesced and got medium... apparently the server loves me also and was looking after my well-being like a mother that tends to her child. I was ill prepared for the spice but I loved every burning minute of that meal.“

“Good food, but nothing special. Prices have gone up as with everything. Its basically just a closet so no dine in, which is obvious based on the name. Bare minimum was the vibe here, basic menu. Also the guy who took my order gave off a grumpy vibe but when I got my food he chatted a little more and I think he just didn't express emotions well, he is a nice guy. Overall good food, just a bit quaint.“

“Wonderful experience! Service was very friendly. Clean restaurant. Casual vibe. Great outdoor seating options! The food was outstanding!! I had chicken pad thai, my wife had cashew chicken stir fry with sweet chili sauce, my daughter-in-law had glass noodle pad thai with chicken, and my son had pad kee Mao with pork, spicy enough to dance on your tongue, but not so spicy to have to immediately grab a glass of water. I would highly recommend!! Can't wait to visit again!!“

“The glass noodles with veggie or protein are very tasty and flavorful. My husband had pad Thai noodles and it was medium spicy, and he liked the flavor. The portions are good size to share or take home for leftovers.. The service is great & quick, and they are nice & friendly.“

“This is a shared space but manages to still have a comfortable pleasant atmosphere. The salt and pepper squid though had a fish stick appearance and came with tempura mushrooms.

“TERRIFIC & AFFORDABLE THAI
We tried this spot out after I got tired of paying the ever-inflating prices and variable portion sizes at the usual Thai establishment we frequent.
You get a HUGE amount of food for a very good price at this food cart. I fed 6 of us for $65 with tip and had leftovers.
The Tom Yum fried rice is unique and we will for sure order this again.
We also enjoyed the pad see ew and pad Thai, but likely won’t order the pad Thai again. Nothing special.
The dumplings in the Dumpling Chicken soup were delicious, but the broth had a sweetness to it that I didn’t care for.
Peanut Curry was a crowd pleaser.
We got “medium” and it was not spicy at all. Will try hot next time.“

“The best Panang curry I've ever had, and I've had it all over the world. The curry was surprisingly light, as compared to the dense preparations I'm accustomed to. I had the salmon version. The vegetables included sautéd green beans, fresh broccoli, red and green peppers. Layers of flavors. Super good.
The papaya salad was also top notch. The mango sticky rice was perfect.
Amy was friendly, welcoming, and very attentive throughout the meal. We had our first course on the table within 15 minutes of entering the restaurant, with the main and dessert arriving quickly thereafter.
We came here because the location was convenient to our hotel. If I lived in Portland, I'd go out of my way to come here regularly. I will definitely make a point to come back on my next visit.“

“Had an impromptu lunch with our daughters as we passed through town. Although when we walked in there was a man causing a sene, the staff kept it together, and offered amazing service, and food! Thank you to a few regulars and my husband they defused the situation and enjoyed our time! Highly recommend trying this place!!!“

“I really liked the food. There are a lot of different options. The service was great. I did have to wave someone down for more water. The only thing that I wish there was, AC. It made it kind of a miserable dining experience because it was so hot. It was 100° outside. All the food came out hot, good thing, and it made it hotter inside the restaurant.“

“We've been there during quite hours a few times. It has a nice decor and great service! ? And an amazing aquarium! I think they have the best pad Thai I've ever eaten in Oregon so far!! The other dishes we've tried were delicious as well!
Parking: There's plenty parking across the street as well.
Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious enough to navigate a wheelchair.“

“I was eating at this amazing food cart park when I found the Steeler and Seahawks game playing in the bar. Steelers lost so they traded for Fitzpatrick from Miami. People were looking at me as I was dancing outside. What a great day! Awesome food and game on TV all in one place and it’s cheap. I never get sick of going to Cartlandia!“
