“I'm a vegetarian, and I'm always happy to see vegan restaurants. Next Level has an amazing variety of burgers, "chicken" sandwiches, and hot dogs, all including "cheese" and sauce - and it's all vegan! All the burgers and sandwiches taste great. I gotta be honest - I don't really care for the french fries, but they still have an unparalleled burger selection for vegans.“
“Delicious food every time we dine in, and fresh margaritas too. Supporting a queer-owned vegan business makes every bite and sip that much better. I would highly recommend their torta with any of their "meat". Music is a little loud, and it's a small environment. Besides that, the vibes are impeccable. We try to make it in every weekend.“
“Honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had. I really like the thick Detroit style with the slightly crunchy cheese at the edges. And the sauce was great as well. I had the cheese burger pizza, and it had just the right amount of heat.“
“Absolute best place for vegan food in Portland. My I live 55 mi away from this restaurant but when the urge hits for dirty lettuce, there is no substitute. From ribs to wings to fruit pies, putting together your meal from their menu is a task in itself. I cannot recommend enough the cornbread which blows away anything you can find from any other restaurant on the I-5 corridor. I am happy to have you prove me wrong, but I don't think it can be done.Kid-friendliness: Laid back atmosphere with outdoor eating available. Small indoors but nice for a quick stop for a bite.“
“Incredible!!! I got the birria tacos and they were just fantastic. Piping hot, great mix of textures and flavors, and a great portion size. Thank you! Can't wait to eat here again!Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options and many of them are vegan, or can be made vegan!“
“For the dine-in experience it is worth 5 stars but ordering to-go is not as easy. They won't be finished on time - possibly a 40 minute wait longer than what Google tells you on a Wednesday evening so workers can be overwhelmed and will put online orders last on priority.“
“This place has the best vegan Japanese food. Everything from the appetizers, noodle bowls, sake to dessert was delicious! Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff as well. Had an amazing experience and will definitely be back for more :)“
“What a gem! We don't eat vegan exclusively but have egg and dairy allergies so getting burgers with cheese and ranch and shakes was awesome! The buddy stix (mozzarella) were not bad but the Paddy's Melt and Newport Nightmare were both great and the Smashed to pieces shake was so good we came back another time just for more shakes! This place is located inside Swan Dive and did not have a sign outside (as they moved recently to the kitchen inside).“
“Some of the best Ethiopian I've ever had (and I grew up on it). Beautiful environment, and great service. The chickpea dish is so good I think of it all the time. One of my new favorite restaurants in Portland!Dietary restrictions: I think it might even be easy for a vegan. And the injera (the bread) is gluten-free!“
“If you've never had Kenyan food, you need it in your life. If you don't normally like vegan food, you should give it a try... it had no right being as amazing as it was.Vegetarian options: It's all vegan. It's all incredible.“
“First time eating Sri Lankan, and I think it is my favorite. Helps that I had a Sri Lankan friend with me to order and everything was delicious. Flavors that made my mouth happy. Spicy but not too much. We had two different types of roti, string hoppers, dishes with eggplant, chicken, jackfruit, and pop sambol. Flavors were out of this world. The cardamom flan for dessert was yummy and the Sri Lankan Iced Coffee was so good. Can’t wait to return“
“So good! Like, I love everything I have here, every time! You won't be disappointed. Food and service is always amazing. Cute shop to take out, or stay and chill.Just be aware, there is a step up to get in and the door is not accessible, so it's a bit of a challenge when we visit with our daughter who is in a wheelchair. Hopefully they fix that in the near future.Dietary restrictions: All vegan menu!Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible. Step up to get in and no automatic door.“
“Delicious fresh ingredients prepared with care and creativity. The portions are large, too. Really yummy! Our family regularly cooks vegan food at home and we’ve made a hobby of ordering from vegan restaurants, trying to find the best dishes. We think Daily Fuel is one of the best places in Portland.“
“I tried the reina pepiada which was pretty good tasting but did not blow me away. It came with a a side of maduros. The pricing is fairly steep, with the arepas ranging from $12-$15. For comparison, La Arepa has vegan arepas for $9-$10. I do not feel that the pricing is competitive for a food cart. That said, this place is worth checking out. Updated from previous review on 2024-03-25“
“Always a wonderful experience. Top notch plant based cuisine with a wonderful twist of flavor combinations.True care and time goes into their menu, tonight we enjoyed house made tempe, sauces, vinegars, and fermented beverages that have been crafting for months.Far more than just a meal Astera delivers a dining experience worth the price of admission.Highly recommend!“
“Chilango PDX is the best vegan food cart. Vanessa is so sweet and accommodating. If something is too spicy or not spicy enough, she’ll make you another one. The food is totally five stars and I’m not even a vegan. I’m now bringing all my friends there! Yum!!“
“I've always loved the food here and have gotten it often at the peoples co op market. for years the food has been full of heart and vibrancy and absolute care and , well , love. I ordered yesterday and all new things to try arrived to my home that each felt like hugs inside . so delicious and so beautiful. im so glad you all exist. this is true nourishment . thank you !“
“Delicious pizzas and cookies, great atmosphere and service! Hard to find parking within a few blocks when it's busy though. Definitely worth the walk. 10/10Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegetarian and vegan.Parking: Parking is rough sometimes. There's only street parking so you might have to drive around a bit when it's busy.“
“First I want to say that the Alfredo pizza was the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. The food here is 10/10 with some of the best vegan food in all of Portland. However, the service was horrible, we had to work to get our waiters attention to get more water and asked for our bill twice before receiving it. With a no tipping policy in place I feel there was no incentive to provide good service.“
“Petunias is the only cake we will drive 3 hours for and return back in a day. Their gluten free desserts - especially their celebration cake - are amazing, you literally wouldn’t know it doesn’t have gluten or dairy except that you feel amazing after you eat their delicacies. The Petunia’s team is incredible, they go above and beyond to take care of special orders, Lisa is so kind and made sure that my order for my bonus daughters bday cake was done in time for us to pick it up! I love you, Petunia's!Dietary restrictions: The best for gluten free desserts!“
“The pad Thai was absolutely delicious! It was so flavorful and had lots of chicken and was the best I've had in a very long time! Will be back every time we are in this area. Highly recommend! The service was also very good. Not great on atmosphere- but who cares with food this good!“
“Staff is friendly, helpful, menu is enticing, well priced, and most of all the food is delicious! Meals are plated with care and look as good as they taste. Special bonus: best Bloody Mary I've ever had. Our party of four included 2 vegans and two omnivores. Loved everything on the table.“
“Gosh this stuff was so amazing! And tasted so fresh... there wasn't anything I didn't like about this! Only 11 dollars or a giant meal! I ate it for lunch and dinner that's how much food I had left over, 2 servings worth no doubt. The woman at the register was so sweet and wore a smile the whole time service was quick and easy to say the least! And eatting this outdoors on a bench really ties it all together“
“Just want to leave this review because after seeing how many people give this shop bad reviews because they are vegan is insane! It’s like going to chic-fil-a and being pissed they don’t have burgers. Try something new! Blend some non-dairy options! Stop leaving bad reviews because they don’t have cows milk.“
“Amazing creative dishes. Palm ceviche is fabulous as are all the entrees I can’t spell and the empanadas are flaky and delicious salsas aren’t really necessary but they are also incredible. Causas were wonderful. I couldn’t like this restaurant more if I was vegan. Highly recommend Epif.“
“Come with an empty stomach! A wide and diverse variety of food from around the world. Bbq ribs and brisket is what drew us on but we were pleasantly surprised to find a fully stocked bar, sushi, indian food, and more! Something for all. The sushi burrito place closed too early for me though! Plan to show up before 7pm!!“
“Great experience! So nice! The homemade seed and oat bread on this avocado toast is slammin! Will bring my partner here! Full send.Vegetarian options: Homemade, even raw vegetables for most of my meal. Plant-based, healthy, filling, and plenty of different options!“
“Good atmosphere indoor and out. Plenty of outdoor seating with heaters. Food tasted great. Long wait to order and for food to be made every time I went since they have you order at the bar and the bartender is also busy serving folks drinks. 30-45+ minutes. Not sure why they don’t add a hostess to take food orders at a podium or have online ordering with table QR code scans to avoid the problem. They also ask you not to form a line so it is a bit awkward to tell who was first. You can also order as takeout on your phone and your food will come in boxes rather than plates.I recommend if you want yummy vegan food, good atmosphere, and you aren’t in a rush.Vegetarian options: Fully vegan menuDietary restrictions: Fully vegan menu“
“Incredibly palatable and allergen friendly dessert. They have gluten free waffle cones that are amazing. I think they actually taste better than the normal ones… they’re somehow crispy and chewy at the same time. The dairy free ice cream is super light and fluffy. Relative to most ice cream, this is a healthy treat.Dietary restrictions: Waffle cones and coconut ice cream are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free.“
“I've been twice now and tried the corn dogs (also great) and the brunch wrap. Both times I couldn't stay away from the brunch wrap. Just outstanding, stuffed full of vegan bacon, cheese, just egg, hashbrowns, and a delicious sauce. Will be back many times. Also love the aesthetic and the kind service.“
“Wow I'm not vegan but I love these chocolates. My partner and I have been trying different chocolates (all dark) throughout the West Coast and we keep coming back for their unique dark truffle flavors. Melissa and team are super nice and it feels like you're part of the family when you enter the store. They let you sample before you buy. Try some new flavors while you're there! Our favorite flavors: - elderberry - lavender - Jasmine tea - rose and saffron - blood orange and cardamom“
“Pretty new business, but really great atmosphere and environment. Always end up finding myself in some good conversation. Some pretty creative DJs come along too. All sorts of stuff... soul, jazz, underground hip hop, 80s, house, techno, mushroom jazz, disco, italio, punk, new wave... tacos are pretty good, great meatless options available too. And best part... icee machine cocktail drinks in the summer-time! Lots of beautiful plants too.“
“I can't believe this place was in my neighborhood without me knowing. The food is absolutely wonderful. Some of the best yakisoba I've ever had. I have gone through half the menu so far and all of them are winners. Staff is super friendly! It's become a favorite spot.Vegetarian options: It's all vegan / plant based.“
“While in Portland today a friend said we has to stop here and try the donuts. She'd seen it featured in feed Phil. I was a little skeptical but figured I'd give it a try. We each picked out a donut and let me tell you. Has I not known they were vegan I'd have never know. Probably best donuts I've had in awhile. We had pear fritter 10/10 Cookie dough 10/10 Portland fog 9/10 Bear claw 10/10. I'll be back here for sure next time!! Only wish I'd gotten some to take home.“
“Spacious cafe with delicious foods including some pretty unique sweets! Really liked the Philly cake with the limited time raspberry filling. Great service. A good amount of seating. Some folks were working here on their computers, so this seems like a good study/work cafe. An easy 5/5.“
“I came here while I was visiting family in Oregon. My cousin brought me here because she loves it. She said I'd love it too. And I did. Only downside is they didn't have their in house chips. But it's ok. I had the pork Banh mi. It almost looks like vegan meat lol it taste great. Not an authentic Banh mi. But still good. The bread was more of a ciabatta type. The pickled veggies made it a Banh mi. Service was good. Speedy and accurate for a party of 8. So shout out to the crew. That's it. Nothing much else to add. Keep up the good work“
“The food is SO GOOD! The signature wicked garden salad is amazing? The house of a thousand no corpses buger is huge and super delicious! Make it a double The staff is really nice and helpful. 10/10 definitely would recommend?Vegetarian options: Everything.Dietary restrictions: All vegan menu?“
“First time at this awesome Sports bar - the food was incredible. Homemade everything, including sauces and dips - and not greasy. Potato skins, best chick’n nuggets I’ve ever had, taquitos, crunchwraps, buffalo wings, chili nachos with melted cheese from scratch. Great atmo even tho I’m not into watching sports. I could eat here every night. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“"Bad quality food, the flooda was horrible, didn't get served by the robot? ? Then our date dined and dashed."Okay so looking back on this review I'm laughing out loud. This is kind of like a quintessential Portland experience!I thought the food was good. I would probably give it a 4.8/5 now. My anonymous friend wanted to give their opinion on the restaurant, so we came up with this review. I think we were only looking at the negatives? That's hopefully the case. I would like to go back to Top Burmese because I see it's not just one restaurant and I see it's charm now!Vegetarian options: Tasted oldDietary restrictions: Should have some vegan or vegetarian options.Parking: Too expensive over this cheap restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Not very polite kids passing by in the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: It'd be nice if they had one.“
“I loved this place! Very cute and cozy and their smoothies are really balanced! Not overly sweet or anything. I also liked that they had a small seating area, the vibes are super mellow. Great place to get an after workout pick me up! I’m excited to come back and try more of their menu!“
“I really loved this all vegan restaurant that I had lunch at back in August! Such a cute space to dine in. I ordered a sandwich that was super tasty. While waiting for my food being prepared, I went to the shop next door. I saw the cutest vegan purse, I plan on going back to purchase. I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu!“
“Kati is easily my favourite and go to Thai food in the city. I believe a majority of their dishes are vegan but it looks like you could add egg as an addition to some of the dishes. Service was great even if it was full. You can also order through a QR code which makes everything easier and faster. Updated from previous review on 2024-02-26“
“I was too impatient to take a photo but let me tell ya…. Everything was scrumptious and I will for sure be returning very soon. You definitely have to try the loaded baked potato fries! The Pig Out burger and the fly pig chicken sandwich was also delicious. This place is on point you can not be disappointed.“
“I like the vegan food options (buffalo soy curl is where it's at), and Ben makes amazing drinks. One of the best vodka martinis I've ever had after giving me recommendations on vodka choices (Harku) and doing just a wash of dry vermouth. Also, the patio is great if you have a pup.“
“CLOSED at this location. Went there today for a lunch date and new restaurant signage is in the window.I Love Blossoming Lotus. Their mindful, healthy TASTY vegan menu options have been a go-to for many years. Sad to see this longstanding spot go. ?“
“I've been here a couple times, both takeout and dine in. I'm vegan, so all of the food I had was from the vegan menu. I really appreciate that it has a different section on the menu because it makes finding what I can have a lot easier, without having to customize any of it. Takeout: When I came for takeout, the waiter still offered me water and a table which was very nice. The wait was not long at all and all of the food was hot and delicious. I liked the decor and it kept me occupied during my pretty short wait Dine in: I loved the plating of the food, and there's some cool tables here. We sat at a normal booth but they have one right next to a big window and it looked cozy. They also have outdoor seating but it's still cold outside so I haven't experienced that yet. I got a thai green tea which I'd never had and was in love with it. Pricing: Main dishes were around 15-20, my sides were like ~10, the green tea was 6.50 I wouldn't say it's competitive, but I don't think the prices are offensive either. Please don't forget to tip“
“This place is seriously my favorite restaurant in Portland, if not anywhere. The orange veggie chicken is my go to, and the shrimp is also amazing. I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and very rarely have I found veggie Chinese food that isn't tofu. The options here are mindblowing.“
“Just ordered take out for the first time- this place is amazing. I love that you can create your own bowl, as someone who loves beef broth but prefers chicken as the main protein. And they package everything to go so thoughtfully and give you everything you would need!“
“Native Bowl is my favorite food cart in Portland! Having eaten from here well over 2 dozen times by now, the food is always fantastic. Good ingredients, good presentation, great taste, great friendly service. Go check this vegan spot out when you come to Portland!“
“Aside from difficulty queing up due to a dining table being in the way, this place is always amazing. Heavy food, so be prepared, I have yet to have something I didn't like. The Maverick - a vegan western bacon cheeseburger, is my go to sandwich. All of their fries are amazing - especially the "special" fries which are topped with onions, cheez, and a thousand island - ish sauce. They also have Oogave soda (try the watermelon! in fact, try an oogave watermelon float with coconut ice cream). I make it a point to go here whenever I'm in the area. Again, though, be prepared to be full for quite some time after.“
