Stopped in for a quick lunch and left impressed. My falafel burger was delicious. The restaurant is clean and attractive with high ceilings filled with natural light. You would never guess the building was previously home to a funeral chapel and later a beauty school.
What can I say, I have wonderful memories here so I'm biased. But if you're in the mood for excellent bar food (fried chikin bites, ok? DO IT), really great local brews, always friendly and beyond competent service, a chilled variety of patrons, and vibes that offer everything from a night so busy you get to check in with security to one so slow it might actually take a minute to get that order goin (you know cause sometimes that low tone energy just keeps the staff little slow...read full review

I don't think it is possible to create a more Portland vibe bar than the Loyal Legion. A mix of an old world beer hall and a modern neighborhood pub, the Loyal Legion is a great spot for a happy hour get together with coworkers or a relaxed evening nosh with family and friends.
