“Portland has fewer restaurants specializing in Spanish cuisine than it used to a few years ago. Bar Casa Vale does a great job of preparing many of my favorite dishes from Spain, including octopus and paella. Friendly, professional service and a creative cocktail menu too.“
“Super impressed, everything was great! Did the family style bird and a bunch of veggie sides and every bite was flavorful and cooked perfect. Everything came out super fast and was nice and hot! Classic margarita was good too. Service is order at the counter and bus your own table.“
“We visited Can Font on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The food was authentic Spanish food and offered many options. Everything we ordered was delicious: Paella negra, Patatas bravas, Beet salad, Grilled octopus and delicious desserts such as cheesecake, arroz con leche and chocolate cake. My only suggestion is that they widen their beer selection to include Spanish brands like Estrella de Galicia, Mahou, Ambar (to name a few). Lastly, the service was not as good, maybe because it was a busy night, but I feel they should have foreseen this and planned accordingly. Will definitely return.“
“The tacos here are amazing. I get the soft tacos with the corn tortilla and ground beef. For such a small taco, its really heavy and hearty. Then I bring them home and smother them with taco sauce, sour cream, and salsa and salt and pepper! The drive home is just enough time for the cheese to melt. I usually have two for dinner, and save one for a midnight snack, or breakfast. The two layer wrapping is good, but open them carefully, and eat them slowly, so you don't spill any of this gourmet taco. These are the best tacos I have ever had!“
“I went to this place for me and my partners anniversary. I have never been and neither had he. The experience was top notch! I came in and the waiter said he was going to change my life and he did just that. I also had a gift card that had a generous balance and I was so impressed with the service and food that I was embarrassed to use it so I paid out of my own pocket. Best tapas in Portland hands down! My partner usually is the one who picks places because I’m bad at it and he was also incredibly impressed with me and my choice to try Urdaneta!“
