“This won best donut in Portland for a reason. It is my fav donut place in the US honestly. Cannot emphasize enough how amazing this place is and how high quality the donuts are. What makes it even better is the joy Penny and Boun exude. Family-owned, but Delicious Donuts makes you feel like part of their family too! Must try for anyone who is a donut aficionado and definitely for anyone living in PDX!!!“

“The only powdered chocolate cream donuts anywhere in town (and I've checked), just the way Winchell's used to make them: absolute perfection! The other donuts are incredible, too, but the powdered with the poof of chocolate icing is my go-to 4 LIFE! When my husband and I journey 25+ miles to a Sesame Donuts and our box of donuts is in our car, I may spontaneously serenade my donuts. They're THAT GOOD! 🎵 "Oooh, chocolate poopers, you are the best donut in the world!" 🎵 😄“

“Popped in here while waiting for the plant store to open, and I'm so glad we did. Sam was welcoming and helpful. The drink selection was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. It was obvious the amount of effort and love that go into every drink. Easily my new favorite coffee shop.“

“My friend told me to skip Voodoo on the last day of my trip to Portland and head to Blue Star. I was a little weary but I've been burnt out on Voodoo for awhile. Blue Star is by far my new favorite. The young lady at the counter was more than helpful and very courteous. The kind of customer service I'm accustomed to being from the South. The store was immaculate and I liked the simple presentation. I didn't feel overwhelmed by the selection but immediately went to my tried and true: the apple fritter. This was no normal fritter. This thing was baked by some divine power. My God the glorious sweetness only enhanced by apples that I swear were guarded by a serpent in the garden of Eden! If you've never been, I urge you to run to the nearest location. If you're a repeat customer and haven't tackled the apple fritter then do yourself a favor and make it the next one on your list. My next trip to Portland will definitely prioritize another visit.“

“Stopped by Mochinut and had a great experience. The mochi donuts were soft, chewy, and full of flavor, and the coffee paired perfectly with them. Prices run about $10 for three donuts and $6-7 for coffee, but the quality and presentation make it feel like a nice little indulgence. A fun spot when you want something different from the usual donut shop.“

“So I ordered these donuts with an allergen noted. It is not a severe allergy, just causes hives and itchy feelings. When I noted it on my order, they took the time to make sure the allergen was not there, but still warned that there could be cross contamination. Honestly, I feel like that beyond what is required. “Early on a drizzly morning, I was greeted kindly with superb service. The shop has a cute old school donut shop vibe, complete with helpful staff.
Now on to the donuts! The chew of the raised donuts is nearly perfect. The dough is light, not cloyingly sweet and with the slight chew you're looking for in a good raised donut. I highly recommend their filled donuts. Also, the chocolate glaze was decadent again with that alright balace of sweet. Now on to my favorite, the sesame donut is a must. A plain cake donut with a light glaze dipped in toasted sesame seeds! This mildly sweet donut is perfection. I'll be thinking about it until I get it next!

“holy yumness. This place has elite sweet treat beverages for all my fellow humans to enjoy! We ordered the tiramisu latte and chocolate earl grey cold brew (?!) they were above human level and had the best ice cubes!! Mochi donut also was so good.“
“After buying a few things I needed, I stayed inside MUJI a little longer. Near the in-store embroidery service, right beside the shelves of Japanese cups and plates, I noticed a robot coffee station that immediately made me curious.
After placing my order and making my selections on the touchscreen—adding everything to the digital cart, paying, and then walking over to the counter—I watched the robot begin preparing my drink: a hot cappuccino, $5.25.
I genuinely enjoyed watching the robot create the latte art… honestly, the design looked better than mine (haha).
Once the drink was ready, there was an announcement over the speaker, a light flashed on the counter, and I even received a text message on my phone. That level of detail was surprisingly thoughtful.
Beside the pickup counter, there was a small station with lids, napkins, straws, cream, and sugar for anyone who wanted a little extra sweetness. I, of course, added both sugar and cream.
The coffee here is quite strong. In my opinion, if you’re drinking it hot, the 10 oz is just right—12 oz feels like a bit too much. But it tastes really good.
Next time, I’ll try one of their fruit drinks.
If only I could sit by those large windows, slowly sipping coffee while looking out onto the street… that would be perfect.
After the shopping experience here, I noticed some customers hesitating and walking away—maybe because the space is quite narrow, and standing there to drink can feel a little awkward.
Still, the wooden beams and the warm lighting fit the coffee bar beautifully.
Ah… one small downside: there’s no restroom here.“

“Wow! Just wow!! I mean, did I say WOW? I went there specially for pumpkin pie. What i got was not just a pumpkin pie, it was a taste of absolute joy. Joy I say! Smooth, creamy, firm, but not too firm, a rich, utterly delicious crust that was more like layers than an actual crust. Moist through and through! When I get back down to Portland metro area again, it'll be my first place to go! You should make it YOUR first place to go to, too!! Simply wonderful!!!“

“We got the maple bar (a donut with basically a side of maple frosting) and the cream cheese muffin. I thought the maple bar was lacking before I tasted it and it was VERY sweet it almost hurt to finish it but was good. The cream cheese muffin had the texture of a cornbread muffin, but overall it was very good. The service was very good and quick, and there was an okay selection of donuts and pastries to choose from. Very nice mom and pop feel, would recommend if your looking for a break from the basic donut chains and are looking to support local!!!“
