“Nice little family business despite the area only problem I had there was today someone came up and snagged my coffee this morning while I was paying for my stuff the owner handled it quite well said take it and go and quickly had a fresh cup for me.“
“OMG these donuts are so GOOD! Hard to believe they are gluten and dairy free! So flavorful and soft. We don’t have any reason to be gluten free but we were at the Night Market and a friend bought some. How can anyone turn down eggnog and figgy pudding? Especially in a donut. Me n Can reluctantly tried them - and holy s**t (pardon the language) they were AWESOME!. We will definitely be back for more.“
“My new favorite food spot! Great food and people. Every menu item I’ve tried so far has been amazing, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Highly recommend the whitefish sandwich and wash it down with an egg cream. Lovely spot for weekend brunch as well.“
“While in Portland today a friend said we has to stop here and try the donuts. She'd seen it featured in feed Phil. I was a little skeptical but figured I'd give it a try. We each picked out a donut and let me tell you. Has I not known they were vegan I'd have never know. Probably best donuts I've had in awhile. We had pear fritter 10/10 Cookie dough 10/10 Portland fog 9/10 Bear claw 10/10. I'll be back here for sure next time!! Only wish I'd gotten some to take home.“
“First time visiting this classic old-school donut shop bakery in NE Portland. The service by the owner was quick and attentive. On this particular Sunday afternoon, the selections were very limited, but I was fortunate enough to get my hands on some Raised Sugar Donuts, Maple Old Fashion Donuts, and Maple Bars...Needless to say, these heavenly delights do not make it back home, on the drive back to South Salem. The atmosphere was a mixed bag of families, couples, and singles having a late brunch or early afternoon snack in a comfortable neighborhood go to hangout.“
“This place is for people who want to eat on the street or take the doughnuts home as seating is limited. But the ? are the best I've ever had and no other place is like this one. If you love doughnuts, you'll love this place. It's a must eat.“
““Don’t ever bring me one of those from that place again!” Those are the words my exercising, health conscious, non-sweets eating wife said to me after scarfing down a donut I brought her from Donut Palace. You know something tastes good when you feel guilty after eating it so fast, and boy did she look guilty, and then a little mad when those words came out of her mouth. LOL Meanwhile I was taking my time enjoying every bite of my Guava donut. Oh yes, you heard me right, GUAVA DONUT. The gentleman behind the counter, Mo, was so pleasant, I could have hung out all day talking with him. He explained to me that they only use real fruit purée for their fillings and frostings. I can definitely assure you that makes a big difference. There’s no artificial food coloring taste. COVID has been challenging for this business, as it’s been for many others in the food industry. They only make a limited amount of donuts each morning, and when they’re sold out, they close. It’s a necessary adjustment for challenging times. So if you want one of these delicious donuts, I suggest you get there before 10am or you might go home with a sad face and empty hands. The picture attached is from my second trip to Donut Palace. My wife didn’t get any! Please continue to support this family owned small business and others like it!“
“Pretty good the Vietnamese coffee was kind of small and not as strong as I was hoping, and the doughnuts were all good, but nothing blew my mind. I did try the Vietnamese coffee doughnut a couple days prior and that was really good but unfortunately they didn't have it when I got there. Worth the visit .“
“Ordered some donuts for “National Cereal Day” and when I picked them up, they looked so festive and cheery! The girl was just finishing packaging them up, as they had just been frosted and sprinkled! I brought them to work and they brightened everyone’s day! They were so yummy and a total hit!!???I’ll be back for sure!!“
“You've got to try their jalapeno cheese beef hot dogs. Those or something special right there and the donuts are awesome too and they wait. Staff is excellent. Those two guys did a great job for a couple of young fellas. I would give them a ? and they should get a “
“Blue star shining on me. Blue star filling up me. Blue star it's time to eat! I did a quick drop in on the way back from a friend's house. I took bites from the old fashioned, hot chocolate donut and the OG donut. Each donut brings with it an explosion of flavor with texture that melts the sugary goodness on the mouth! Excellent quality pound for pound; bite for bite. The old fashioned has more of a cakey base whereas the OG is fluffier. The improveables would be the price tag. It is pricey.“
“Large, fresh, and unique donuts. Given the Quality and choices available, the prices are reasonable.Parking: 7pm on a Saturday, lots of parking. The lot is free and dedicated to customer only. They must have issues with people going to the adjacent field parking in the lot because there is a sign about that.“
“This is the best donut shop I’ve ever been to. It has a quaint atmosphere and it’s in a cute neighborhood, so it was fun to walk around with my donut. They have upscale donuts. I had two donuts, a lemon curd filled and a blueberry bourbon, which was the best donut I’ve ever had. I highly recommend.“
“A quaint spot serving fresh gelatos. We got the largest size with four scoops to share for $6, pretty decent price! Their Orange Creamsicle and Banana gelatos were very delicious. Light but full of authentic flavors, not too sweet as well. Wish they have the pistachio flavor when we're there though. Their Espresso made for a good pairing with the sweet treats.“
“I absolutely love this place! The owners, who make the donuts and work the cash register, are so welcoming and get to know their regulars. The donuts are made fresh EVERY day, and they actually close early if they sell out (so you know they’re good!). Honestly the best donuts around and I am always craving them!“
“How did we not know about this place sooner!?! Such a great neighborhood spot. The Cheddar, onion scone was so delicious. The Maple Cinnamon Roll, not to be overlooked, and the Cherry Turnover, OMG! The staff was amazing. So friendly, well informed and patience. Next time we are trying the bread.“
“Service was quick. Came in close to closing, so donuts were understandably in shorter supply. But definitely appreciate that these guys are open later than most for those cravings! Overall, a cute shop close to the university with good hours and great donuts, both quality and variety!“
“$14 bucks for a 12 oz Snicker doodle latte, lemon filled, Bavarian cream, maple old fashion Pros: Overall the donuts were flavorful, fluffy, and delicious. The Bavarian cream had an even amount of filling and was delicious. The lemon filled was airy in flavor but lacked enough filling. Now the star of the show was the snicker doodle latte. It was just sweet enough to enjoy and was made with tender love lol!!! It was soooo good. Overall the donuts are really good. The place and the packaging was clean and cute. The box is a high quality box. Service was great no issues. Cons: The price point for the donuts are extremely high at roughly $3 a pop. There's nothing really special about the donuts to make them this high. It seems you are paying for the nice box and their location because I cant justify spending so much for 1 donut. The lemon donut had very little lemon filling. I took about 3 bites (half of the donut) and didnt have any filling. I took pics for you to see.“
“Best donut I’ve ever had: the Crème Brûlée donut is simply brilliant. Gorgeous texture and flavor, and the torched sugar coating is perfection. Looking forward to going back and trying more flavors! This place has wonderful, friendly service and a great vibe. And WOW that donut!:)“
“It will call you by name when it is done and even make coffee art. The pressure is off to leave a tip. The time between the shot of coffee and the steamed milk is about one minute. People will tell you that need to happen in less than 15 seconds, but honestly, I can't taste the “
“These donuts are worth your coin! Expensive, yes, but wildly delicious. The texture of these donuts are unlike most other donut shops. The perfect cakey fluff. Moist, not dry. The old fashioned donuts have a mouthwatering crisp. The flavors are fun and enticing! At this specific location the two ladies working were wonderful. My friend was visiting from out of town and when I asked them for activity recommendations they were instantly excited and started sharing all their favorite spots. There were no customers behind us so we chatted for a few minutes. Along with our box of donuts we were carrying 3 to-go boxes from another restaurant. The cashiers noticed and offered us bags to help condense and make things easier to manage. Amazing customer service and experience. So yes, $5 is on the higher side for a donut but you have to try it just once. The donuts are divine and the staff is friendly. Lots of residential and street parking too. If it's between Blue Star and Voodoo Donuts, I'm picking Blue Star every day.“
“My family loves doughnuts and are usually disappointed by those that are out there. Sesame doughnuts made us smile with joy at the quality, choices, beauty and service. The cream filled are my favorite of all and can never find them. Then sesame happened. They are FILLED not just a tiny squirt. Everything had that old fashioned homebaked vibe but with really exciting modern options. I’m only sorry I live an hour away. I’d go there once a week if I could. Don’t miss it.“
“I remember when this place opened waaaay back and so glad this CoCo locale is still here after all these years. Love the variety of donuts, holes, Mochi donuts, sesame balls (on the weekends) and croissants which were a pleasant tasty surprise. The place is aesthetically pleasing w wood decor and pink accents including the coffee machine in this signature color. Staff always friendly and place spic and span w plenty of seating.“
“Love this place! They always have a wide variety of cake donuts on hand, which are far superior to regular donuts (I will die on this hill). I only wish they were open on weekends since that's when I work downtown! I'd be there every Saturday and Sunday.“
“The fritters at Heavenly Donuts are nothing short of heavenly themselves. Bursting with flavor and the perfect balance of sweetness, they are a definite must-try for any donut aficionado. The variety and quality make this spot stand out.Pricing at Heavenly Donuts is a pleasant surprise. It's refreshing to find a place where the quality of the treats doesn't come with an exorbitant price tag. The affordability adds to the overall appeal of this donut haven. The staff at Heavenly Donuts deserves a special mention for their friendliness and warm service. A welcoming atmosphere goes a long way in enhancing the overall dining experience.“
“Sesame Donuts was founded in 1987 by an immigrant from Sierra Leone and is one of the Portland area’s oldest donut chains. They’ve been around longer than Blue Star, Coco, Pip’s, Doe and a most other local donut chains. Sesame has almost been around as long as Voodoo Donut. Currently they have 10 mostly suburban locations with a few in the city.Got two each of Oreo, M&M Yum, Sid’s Special, Lemoncello, Toasted Coconut and Portland Cream“
“Solid classic donuts. We tried Coco Donuts via "Too Good to Go" and it was a great value. I can't recall the exact amount, but I know it was more than a dozen for only $8! I brought them to a family gathering and every was impressed. I look forward to returning the next time we're in town.“
“Marsee baked goods are perfect! As someone whose family has food allergies, I appreciate that Marsee Baking does not routinely use many common allergens. Just simple, high quality ingredients, leading to absolutely delectable breads and pastries. 10/10 Highly recommend! I have purchased their products at assorted retailers. Please veryify ingredients on your own!“
“I lived near N Interstate & Lombard for awhile and used to walk to Lee's Laundrette once a week to do my laundry. I always went across the street to Heavenly Donuts while my clothes were in the washer. I recall that I would get 2 maple bars or chocolate bars and a coffee. They also have a large variety of donuts. It's small but pleasant and I have no complaints.“
“Honestly, I always try to pass by here without stopping, today they had samples.Call me a sucker, walked away with a box of their donuts.Staff was great! The orange donut holes were fresh, light and delicious!I won’t be walking by in the future! Great gift to take with you or treat yourself!“
“The Mochi donuts are just lovely! Great texture and so fluffy! I was also pleasantly surprised by the Ube Latte, a great recommendation by the extremely friendly staff at this location. I happened in there on a whim...but will be returning regularly with purpose. Great little shop!“
“I frequent this place often and especially on Thursday mornings I go in to grab drinks for coworkers. No matter what the staff are always amazing it sometimes catches me off cause as I'm not use to that level of amazingness but every time I go they are always so sweet and I don't feel it's an act like when u go to other places like star bucks and such. The product is amazing as well I get a variety of drinks. Every location I have been to had also been really amazing ?Dietary restrictions: The oat milk I get for a coworker and they absolutely love it. This place is always a treat to the ppl I work with and they always look forward to Thursdays now thank you!“
“This place is absolutely adorable and the staff was super helpful while i went back and forth trying to figure out what to get (first time here)The corndogs are so good, get the spicy cheese dipping sauce! And if you're unsure what type of corndog, get a half and half so you get that delicious mozzarella stick too!!! I suggest the sugar coding as well, perfect sweet/salty combo!!!Also, grab at least a half dozen of the donuts cuz you're gonna want some later!!! The creme Brule donut was the absolute best. Donut flavors change often. So you can literally go every week!!The place is cute too!! I loved the cloud lights!“
“I am so very happy that Joe (Mr Kim) is back from his attempted retirement from Donuts Plus. The fellow who took over was a disaster but now the shop has returned to being the best and most friendly donut store I have encountered in my 74 years. Thank you, Joe!!!“
“The donuts were fresh and delicious, I love that it is not overly sweet. My favorite is the crumb donut. I had the chai tea which was okay, it didn’t have a lot of flavor but in general it wasn’t that bad. The ambience was nice and the location was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.“
“Went in 10 minutes before closing on st patrick’s day (wearing green for my free donut) i asked who the man who looked like he was in charge if they gave free donuts on st patrick’s day and he said if you are wearing green. I don’t say anything i just look at my arm cuz im wearing my green hoodie and he says “Ok give a free donut to the man in green” I was so happy and excited and then the lady gave me 2 free donuts and i think she said because they were closing in 10 minutes. I left the store happy. A easy 5 star review“
“Great customer service...the staff were so friendly. The mini donuts were fresh and tasty . The bacon flavor was my favorite...the sweet and salty combo just did it for me :). The were good as well. The golden chai was prob my favorite. I would've like the chai a bit stronger Good ambiance and comfy seating.“
