“Voodoo donut is voodoo donut, incomparable. I stopped one day on my way home after visiting Washington Park, and I needed a box of donuts to satisfy my craving. The place is nothing to talk about, always very well decorated, a wonderful aroma of fried doughnuts, everything is very organized with a divider to form a queue for service, and a revolving showcase with the flavors. The attendant was really friendly, she basically explained flavor by flavor to me. I ordered a box of 4 to take away and ate one there right away while paying lol.
There is always a parking space in front of the restaurant and it is accessible.“

“Seriously the best donut shop in Portland, without a doubt. I don't know what they are doing differently, but the dough tastes better and is so light and fluffy and not just a sponge soaked in oil. The frosting tastes like a mouthful of BUTTER oh my god it is heavenly. I think most of the other donut makers are skimping on the butter or using a substitute but holy crap the difference is night and day. The bismark is amazing, they don't skimp on the filling either! Those bad boys are packed to the brim with custard, as it should be!

The older folks that run the joint are super kind and welcoming, the interior seating is humble but is always clean and well cared for.

“This is Portland best doughnut shop, not the pink boxed shop. They are cooked well, and flavors are pronounced that make you want to try another type. Non coffee/tea options are lacking but it's worth the expe.

Make sure to come as early as possible, as they are often out of donuts as early as 8:30-9am. This family owned business makes their donuts in house every morning, and the quality is untouched. “This location was once a Winchell's Donuts, so for me, Heavenly had a lot to do to attract me back. They didn't disappoint! There is a big fresh selection of cake, raised, and filled donuts to choose from.

Parking: They're co-located on the lot with a convenience store so there's plenty of short-term parking.“

My mom and I have gone multiple times (sometimes in the same week! ) and had a chance to talk to the owners and a couple of the baristas, all of which were very friendly and love to offer suggestions of flavor combos (that is, if you can't pick from the fun flavors they come up with every month). I also love that they offer a dark and light roast coffee and you can still actually taste the coffee, not just the sweetness from the syrup in the fancy drinks. They have a good balance.“

“How did we not know about this place sooner!?! Such a great neighborhood spot. The Cheddar, onion scone was so delicious. The Maple Cinnamon Roll, not to be overlooked, and the Cherry Turnover, OMG! The staff was amazing. So friendly, well informed and patience. Next time we are trying the bread.“

I really liked their Rush Slush, an espresso blended freeze that's was refreshing. It combines the rich, bold flavors of espresso with the icy, creamy texture of a slush, making it the perfect pick-me-up. The Rush Slush is definitely worth a try!“
