“This is definitely an experience more than your everyday bakery stop. The options are somewhat limited and the price is slightly higher than other bakeries I go to. That being said when you see the pastries you understand why. They are beautiful works of art. There's a bit of savory to go with the sweet. The espresso I had was fantastic. The space is a bit narrow and indoor seating is limited (there's some outside tables as well). Overall it's worth the visit when you feel like treating yourself to something new.“

We were surprised at how busy it was, but we stayed and waited in line anyway and were really glad we did.

“I've never taken the time to write a review for any business, but am pretty put off and have the time. Today is my husband's and my 11th wedding anniversary. We had Saint Cupcake at our wedding with a cupcake tower and wedding topper cake in 2011. To celebrate our 11 years of marriage, we went to go pick up cupcakes. Based on online information and the sign on the door, the business closes at 5pm on Saturdays. We arrived at 4:20PM - 40 minutes before closing. Both doors were shut and locked, but there were two employees inside and cupcakes on the back counters. They ignored us, even though I attempted to open each of the double doors - they wouldn't even look up. I knocked on the door and the woman sweeping reluctantly came and opened the door and told us that they had unfortunately closed early due to some issue. I tried to explain to her we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and had had Saint Cupcake at our wedding 11 years prior. She said they didn't have much of a selection left anyway and closed the door on us. It was a shocking and weird interaction and I was really put off. I will never go out of my way to give Saint Cupcake my business again in the future. 👎👎“

“I went for the biscuits & gravy: Creamy, well-seasoned gravy generous with the sausage; big biscuits with a bit of crust--some of the best I've tried--and the prices are very reasonable. It's a quaint bake shop with seating where the owner anticipates regulars' coffee orders. Proudly queer-owned and adorable, complete with a small shrine to Paul Reubens. Feels very much a part of the neighborhood: a spot beloved by locals that the rest of us should feel privileged to patronize.“

“Is the food pricey? Yes. But you are largely paying for the ambiance, it's a place to go on a date or a place to feel pretty. Not a place to go regularly by yourself. The mimosas are fine and the food isn't as bad as some of the other reviews make it sound (again, yes it is on the pricey side).“

“Came in about an hour before closing and they were out of one of the cookies. Nevaeh was absolutely amazing and so sweet, she genuinely had me in tears walking out. they were out of the only cookie we really were hoping for but she gave us a couple mini versions of the same cookie to make up for the inconvenience. we were totally taken aback by her kindness and i hope whoever is her manager takes the time to recognize her for being incredible and going above and beyond!!“

“Great little Chinese bakery! Their buns are huge, nice and soft with a good flavor. Fair amount of filling… prices are amazing! Most everything is $2 or less. I got a bbq pork bun, custard bun, and coconut tart. Pork bun was tasty, but could have used a little more filling… but it was only $1.60, custard bun was awesome… not too sweet, but I like it that way. Coconut tart was a little dry, but good flavor… it’s more like a dense coconut cupcake in a tart shell. Anyways, you can’t beat it for the price! I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“Pretty solid baked goods, their pecan scrappy is delicious. I just wish they had more rotating options. It's always the same stuff when I go. You pick a number when you go in to get your order taken and the space is small, so I would plan on getting it to go.“

“I've been gluten and dairy free since 2021... not by choice. That's also the last time I had baked goods that actually tasted like they were supposed to. I tried several items from Gem Bakery including: cupcakes, chocolate cake, glazed donut, caramel brownie, chocolate cookie, and bagels. Oh my goodness, they were just how I remembered them tasting! Texture was spot-on, flavor was delicious, and I wouldn't have known the desserts were gluten and dairy free at all. There were no gritty or gummy textures in the wheat flour replacement and there wasn't an overwhelming coconut flavor where dairy was replaced. I hope to return to this basket every time we visit Portland!“

We got the savory croissant sandwich, two of the stunning striped croissants (the colors alone are worth coming for), a veggie tart, and iced coffees — everything was absolutely delicious. The vibe is quaint and charming, exactly the kind of place you want to stumble upon. Don’t sleep on this one!“

“This is the best coffee shop I have found in the Woodstock Area!! The scones are amazing. I love the coffee. They serve on cute china. They don't have a tip section when paying with a card. The staff person assured me that they really have a living wage and health insurance. They do have a tip jar that some customers insist on. I don't usually carry cash.“

“We visited the other location last year on a road trip from California and I never stopped talking about their breakfast sandwiches. So we're back again on this road trip - specifically looped the route so we can stop here. It's a little expensive but you have to get the breakfast sandwich with the peppers AND the sausage. Best vegan breakfast sandwich. Their espresso drinks and hot cocoa are also great!

Nice seating area both inside and outside. Easy free parking lot. Dogs are allowed on the outdoor porch seating - there's even a water bowl! Wi-Fi is pretty fast! They were totally ok with us staying for basically the whole day. We also got lunch at the Indian Food Truck in their shared lot, and the staff here let us eat inside.“

“Had a bad experience at the coffee shop across the street so left there and came here in hopes of a better experience.

We were immediately greeted when entering despite the only lady working was busy with other customers. She was very friendly to everyone and even brought our drinks to our table.

Food: so many excellent options! We tried the raspberry rose cruffin and a matcha yuzu donut. Both were excellent and fresh! The London Fog was delicious too 🙂

Atmosphere: great location with plenty of street parking. Interior was bright, open, and clean!
