“We ordered our wedding cake from Favi’s Fabulous Cakes and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. At the tasting we chose a delicious churro cake with dulce de leche and vanilla buttercream filling and chocolate vanilla marble cake with vanilla and chocolate buttercream. We set up payment and delivery easily. What stood out the most to me about working with Favi is her care and intention in providing the exact cake we wanted. I had pictures and we created a replica of what I liked. It was a beautiful white heart shaped cake with gold beads and babys breath flowers. Stunning! The wedding guests were totally impressed and I think my daughter got a bite in her mouth before me and my groom : )) The real butter and homemade recipe tasted so good. We will be back for cupcakes and the many other desserts she makes. She’s in the old Subway building in downtown Hillsboro. Go see her!“

“This is the first time I've ever eaten Kamut rotis without feeling bloated. They are incredibly light, yet so filling that just two rotis kept me full for a long time.

The owner is genuinely kind, friendly, and passionate about what he does. He takes the time to explain where the ingredients come from and how everything is made, making it clear that he is committed to using clean, high-quality ingredients. I also really appreciated that he was happy to accommodate my oil preferences, which is a huge plus for anyone with allergies or specific dietary needs.

If you don't have the time to make rotis at home but still want fresh, wholesome, home cooked food made with care, I highly recommend this place. The quality, taste, and attention to detail are outstanding. I'll definitely be coming back!“

“It was great. Place is clean, well stocked (no empty shelves) and prices are reasonable. The sweet breads are fresh. The service is friendly. They have a large selection of authentic candies and treats from Mexico. It's a good place for a quick stop.“

“Whent to Panadería el jarochito, It's a little nuke in the wall bakery. I went there to get a couple of (Mexican Pan Dulce) To my surprise, they were quite cheap.The regular ones are ($1.25).The ones with filling are ($1.75).I also ended up getting 2 slices of cake that they had there (mil ojas & 3 leches) Each costing ($4).Would recommend coming here and getting a couple pieces of sweet mexican bread.

“We stopped into the Tous les Hours Bakery to see what it was all about. We loved the set up they provided. You are set up with a fresh pair of clean tongs and go down an isle of glassed shelves filled with sweet baked confections on one side and savory on the other side, and pick out what you would like yourself. I thought this was so clever...it was nice to have the luxury of really looking at each offering to take it all in before making a decision. The atmosphere was pleasant, nothing super special, but comfortable with a good bit of seating available. In regards to our sweet treats... it's a bit of a mixed bag. We had some round little donut like holes sprinkled with cinnamon. I'll bet when they are super freshly made they are delicious, but were not good enough to finish or take home. The dough was a little tough and ordinary, not anything special. Hubby had a Bavarian creme donut, and he said it wasn't any better than you would get from any grocery store. However, the sweet treat I chose for the main attraction was incredible! It was a pistachio cream croissant that was half dipped in chocolate and wow, was it fantastic! I had wished the whole thing was dipped like that, because the chocolate was deep and dark with a hint of salt, and just wonderful in every way. Is this a place I would go back to again, maybe not, because we live far away, and might not be in vicinity again, but if I lived close by I definitely would visit again. I was sorry that we had just had lunch before we went in, because the savory food looked wonderful. And though our visit was a mixed bag, I think that there are some real winners in what they have to offer, it might just take wading through some disappointments in finding them.“

“I'm a huge fan of Grand Central and its impact on Hillsboro's downtown. Great food and the staff is great. Leilani, for instance, takes it upon herself to ask and remember my name and it feels so good when I come in and she says hi!

I've noticed, though, that the staffing changes quite a bit at this location and I suspect this is from the corporate office--something seems off whenever staff isn't stable in other words. As a local, this impacts my experience getting to know people who leave bc they feel unsupported by the corporate office. You've got good people--treat them as such and they make all the difference (yes, your scones are good, but your people are why I come back so much).“

“The only powdered chocolate cream donuts anywhere in town (and I've checked), just the way Winchell's used to make them: absolute perfection! The other donuts are incredible, too, but the powdered with the poof of chocolate icing is my go-to 4 LIFE! When my husband and I journey 25+ miles to a Sesame Donuts and our box of donuts is in our car, I may spontaneously serenade my donuts.
