Fressen Artisan Bakery Reviews
friendly and helpful staff. Food and espresso has always been great everytime I have been in.
Everything is delicious. Best bakery in Portland.
I have been to great events. I am just sad meat is standard on nearly every savory dish. As a vegetarian it’s upsetting that l have to pay the extra dollar or more for meat and get hit on substitution. Charge to add bacon and sausage or suggest 1-1 protein substitution (egg, avocado, cheese, sliced potatoes, spinach, etc) and l would be a regular.

Fressen Artisan Bakery is a little gem that offers authentic German baked goods. Customers find pretzels, seeded rolls, and loaves of bread that feel like Germany. The Nutella swirl is described as a cinnamon roll that is not too sweet. The bakery also sells traditional pastries such as berliner buns with whipped cream, Franzbrötchen, and almond pastries. A popular sandwich is the Nürnberger sausage sandwich, served with brezn and espresso. The espresso is called the best in Portland and pairs well with the German classic foods. Service is chill and pleasant, though busy times can feel crowded. The inside is super cool and relaxing, while the outside is pretty but cold. The bakery is wheelchair accessible with no steps, but the door can feel snug and the front pastry area is narrow. Customers love the prices, which are spot on for the quality. The bakery’s atmosphere is cozy and full of carbs, making it a hit in summer with its Biergarten.
