The great service, great food, and to die for vanilla cardamom morning roll made the whole experience stopping in so awesome. cannot recommend this place enough!

You guys are the best! Friendly service, great pastries with coffee and drink options like honey lavender latte and horchata oat latte! Vanilla Cardamom Morning Roll, Chocolate Nutella and Almond Croissants are my favorite pastries, but they also offer a nice variety of other food options including breakfast sandwiches, lunch and brunch options! Hungry Heart Bakery & Café in Montavilla is a busy spot for breakfast or lunch. The staff greets customers upon walking in and handles unreasonable and unruly customers professionally. Ordering is seamless, and the food comes out quick. The breakfast burrito with bacon and the Sunny Day are both splendid, and the cappuccinos are delightful. The macarons are clean, crispy on the outside, and very soft and chewy on the inside, with chocolate being a favorite. The coffee is good and strong, and the chai is good though some wish it was spicier. The carrot bread is a real thick slice, extremely dense and filled with flavor, and the hot chocolate is perfectly made, delivered in the best mugs at just the right temperature. Do not sleep on the cinnamon rolls. The space has a compact seating area with high ceilings, so noise can be amplified, which might bother some. It is often slammed on weekend mornings, so preparation might be lengthier. Overall, it is a great bakery and coffee shop with plenty of character and savory and sweet options.
