The Kouign-amann is unbelievably delicious, full stop. Get two and warm them in the oven when you get home. It's the best in Portland.
This is definitely an experience more than your everyday bakery stop. The options are somewhat limited and the price is slightly higher than other bakeries I go to. That being said when you see the pastries you understand why. They are beautiful works of art. There's a bit of savory to go with the sweet. The espresso I had was fantastic. Fell in love. Not too sweat, right on point, and textures are present.👍

Based on the reviews, Twisted Croissant & Patisserie offers delicious and unique pastries. The best doughnut and a dreamy tiramisu are mentioned, along with a choux pastry with guava. The croissants are phenomenal and unique, with specific mentions of a raspberry Ross cruffin and a pull apart croissant. However, the chocolate croissants are noted to be a different style every time. A Kouign-amman was so good it nearly made a customer cry. The staff are kind and delightful, helping pack pastries for safe travel and making a mean latte. The chai is also yummy. Customers find it hard to decide on just one pastry and often splurge. Everything looks downright delicious, and customers would eat here every day, maybe twice.
