The food is so good, don’t forget to get the strong bread, the house jam, and the house hot sauce - they make all of them and they are delicious! The service is great and the decor is eclectic and fun. Love this place for breakfast and lunch.“

Various amazing breakfast choices; I prefer Classic Eggs Benedict or Waffles with Pecans topped with incredibly delicious Ginger Butter. Friendly, prompt and personable service by staff and owner. “Great place. One of my favorites in the neighborhood. I love how bright the coffee shop is and the open layout in general. The coffee is better than the two closest cafes too me, but it doesn't quite make my Portland top ten. It's definitely a runner up though.“

“Very good food! This time I had the potato gratin with greens and added the smoked trout. The trout is not always on the menu but I get it whenever it is. It's tender, fresh, flavorful and not saturated in oil or overly salty. Got a honey cake to go!“

I flew in from Chicago and after a long work trip, I just needed some quality time with the hubby. It was a rainy night in PDX and the smell of the burning wood as we came in was a welcome one. Once seated, our server (beautiful girl with glasses and a big hair clip wearing a Jameson tee--so sorry, neither of us can remember your name) was so kind and gave us the privacy we needed, our food in a timely manner and fully supported my "dessert first" mentality. Thank you for being everything I needed after a long work trip. The pizza, the drink AND that delicious damn dessert was so good, worth every penny and making me want to come back for more.
