“We visited the other location last year on a road trip from California and I never stopped talking about their breakfast sandwiches. So we're back again on this road trip - specifically looped the route so we can stop here. It's a little expensive but you have to get the breakfast sandwich with the peppers AND the sausage. Best vegan breakfast sandwich. Their espresso drinks and hot cocoa are also great!

Nice seating area both inside and outside. Easy free parking lot. Dogs are allowed on the outdoor porch seating - there's even a water bowl! Wi-Fi is pretty fast! They were totally ok with us staying for basically the whole day. We also got lunch at the Indian Food Truck in their shared lot, and the staff here let us eat inside.“

“Clean, whole ingredients and the taste proves it. I’ve purchased every flavor suited for coffee, including their chocolate. Hands down the best, freshest tasting syrup I’ve had. A little goes a long way. I have repurchased my favorite flavor combo: fresh apple crisp and the brown sugar simple syrup. The glass bottles are also gorgeous and look great displayed by my espresso machine. Order them all!“

“I love Bennett’s Best Bites! It’s quickly becoming my satellite office when the AC is on the fritz at my work, lol. The owner, Matt, is incredible. Friendly, personable, and community minded, it’s everything I’m looking for when I need a good coffeehouse to chill and work. Food is amazing too! Don’t sleep on this awesome little gem.“

“This little specialty shop is such a worthwhile experience! The entire menu features treats made with matcha, more matcha, and even more matcha. There's also a seasonal flavor of soft serve to pair with your matcha. There's an order kiosk in the corner, but the staff at the counter are kind and helpful - tip them generously!

“Went here for the first time this morning with 6 friends. We were able to squeeze into a booth and were greeted by who I assume is the owner. She was gruff, but playful. We all loved her. This place is a bit of a time capsule, with wallpaper and decorations from the 90s. When we walked in, it smelled like my grandmother's house and I knew the good would be awesome. I ordered the Korean pancake and was thrilled at how delicious it was. I will definitely be going back.“

“Love the food, love the staff! We dropped off our car at the Subaru dealership and asked for a brunch recommendation close by. So glad we did. The food was so delicious and the staff friendly. You can serve yourself coffee while you wait (usually not long) for a table. I can't remember what I had, but each item I tried was just delicious. Not too greasy and the flavors are amazing. I always look forward to our car service appointments because it means we'll eat at J&M's.“

“THIS IS THE BEST MATCHA IN TOWN💚 And best I’ve ever been to in general. It’s a must-visit if you’re in Portland.

The drinks are so delicious, well-crafted, and perfectly balanced. You can really tell the owner is passionate about his craft and genuinely cares about the quality of every drink. Drinks are so so tasty and thoughtfully crafted. I’ve basically stopped going to any other matcha shop because nothing else compares.

The space has such a cute, welcoming vibe while still feeling intimate, sophisticated, and low-key. The people behind the counter are just as lovely. Other matcha places are over hyped and taste like water or sweet milk. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Come here if you have good taste 😋“

“If you want to feel like you’re having breakfast somewhere in Europe, this is the place. It honestly made me feel at home.

The bagels were excellent, we tried the Mediterranean and the meat bagel, and both were delicious. The cappuccino was authentic and high quality, and the staff were very helpful with recommendations.

Super flexible, took care of everything; Their team came to the venue vans loaded, set up, served, cleaned up... it was all included. We had them do our bar too and they did custom his/her drinks for us too. The team is incredibly nice and super flexible. We found out later that they actually filled everyone's water before dinner too. And of course, everything was delish. Our 'ohana was raving about the food. If you're looking for a taste of home for your event this is it.“

Red E embodies everything about The coffee shop experience that drew me to work in coffee myself 2 decades ago (and I still do!)

The space is very reminiscent of the late 90s, early 00s coffee houses where art, community & alt culture blossomed and thrived & I always feel very nostalgic and uplifted by this place.

I adore the crew here & every regular & adorable dog ive chatted with over the years.... Thank you, Red E for keeping the culture alive, not selling out to some conglomerate capitalist nonsense & pulling some of the best espresso shots in the PNW.

“I really enjoyed my visit! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. The cozy couches were incredibly comfortable, there were lots of plants throughout the space, and the overall aesthetic made it such a relaxing place to spend time. The staff at the front were also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

I ordered the pesto sandwich, and it was delicious. My only suggestion would be to improve the presentation a bit. Since it’s around $8–9, it would feel a little more special if it came with a small side like chips or if it were plated in a more appealing way. The flavor was great—it just didn’t look as inviting as it tasted.

I also tried the mushroom matcha. While the latte art and presentation were beautiful, the flavor just wasn’t for me. That’s more of a personal preference, and I’d probably try a different drink next time.

“I saw that there was a winter porridge special for Monday, so took the bus over from SE and had some rice porridge for lunch! The porridge itself didn't taste like much apart from rice, but all of the toppings added a lot of flavor and texture. I scraped my bowl clean! Looking forward to coming back another time to try other menu items.“
