“My friends wanted to take me to breakfast at their favorite locak spot and Bertie Lou's just so happened to be where they took me! I love the atmosphere, classic tiny diner. What was a surprise was that the seating area was full of what I am guessing are regulars art peices drawn while at Berties. The food was great, the service was fast and friendly, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who a craving for breakfast foods and a love of a local business!“

“Ordered quite a number of things: bacon pancakes, eggs Benedict, the sourdough French toast (also, a side of link sausages). Was some of the best breakfast food I have had period. Also the service was excellent! Definitely go early, it’s busy but it gets busier as the morning goes on. 10 stars“

“It’s in a food cart pod. Parking isn’t terrible but not great. Typical downtown PDX parking. Had the breakfast sandwich with aoli and harissa, sausage + egg + cheese, mocha and the honey salted latte. 100% worth the trip, fantastic sando and drinks. The english muffin lived up to the hype. Will go back again, several people standing around said the Renee was their favorite.“

“I tried a waffle with an egg on top and a side of hashbrowns, and it honestly blew me away. The waffle was light and fluffy, with just the right texture, and the egg on top added a really nice savory balance without overpowering it. The hashbrowns were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside. I can tell the owner put a lot of thought into his recipes; everything worked together so well. Highly recommend stopping by yourself or with a couple of friends!“

“Food! Service! Atmosphere! And Feeling the immediate homey comfort by staff and customers, was just what two weary travelers needed. Met our niece there for breakfast and totally a joy of a cross country trip. Have been in many places across the U S A; and this one is one of major memorable treats. BTW my niece talked me into to trying your Fabulous (Homemade) Green Monster Sauce on my egg omelette and I havent stopped talking or looking for a duplicate since visiting Portland and I live in Ohio! If any one is reading this as a world traveler, believe me when I tell you If you live, or travel in this area, you gotta treat yourself to one of their fabulous stomach filing delicious entries. Really!. Bravo, I never write any kind of reviews in the possitive, I'm old, so I bitch alot. HAHA; But this place so worth the time, the price and contributing to a small family business. Which I totlally look for in any area I visit. I totally believe in supporting family owned local businesses...not the big Guys! Bravo Midpoint. If I lived in the area you'd know me by name as a regular! God Bless. And hope this will inspire the owner into marketing her Green Monster Sauce. One of the best out there. “Stopped by for the Yolko Zeppelin and really enjoyed it. Personally, I think I would’ve liked it even more with just one sausage patty and a little extra cheese, but the flavors were still on point and it definitely hit the spot.
The staff were great — super friendly, easy to talk to, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. I grabbed my sandwich and ate it on the steps at Pioneer Square, watching the city do its thing: a few protesters, a woman yelling about something, nothing too wild… just classic downtown energy.
Overall, really good sandwich, great people, and a fun little moment in the middle of the city. Would definitely come back and try a different one next time.“

“My husband and I make Rocket Breakfast part of our regular rotation. We usually hit it up on a Saturday or Sunday morning, early, when The Heist is nice and quiet. The folks in the food cart are always SO nice. The food is always incredibly fresh and oh so tasty. We have loved everything we've gotten: Rocket Sando, Munchwrap (just ask for a box when you get it...it's huge and you'll take half home), the french toast roll-ups, and whatever special they have going on with whatever Cookie McCookieFace makes for them. Just this past weekend I asked if I could get the garden aioli instead of the chipotle aioli on the Muchwrap and they were totally cool with it. It was an excellent substitution if you're wondering! I love that the food is super fresh without being loaded with salt. I mean, I like salt but my body doesn't, so I'm glad they aren't over-seasoning their food! While you're their getting breakfast from them, go inside and order coffee from Caffeine Withdrawal while you wait. It's the perfect combo and timing for your meal!“

“I had breakfast with a friend at this location and I was pleasantly surprised by my discovery and well worth the drive from Tigard.
I ordered the salmon egg benedict and although the eggs were cooked right I felt the salmon was a bit choppy and sparse. I suppose it it on par with the price though. The home fries were excellent--crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. We were offered different kinds of hot sauces that the cafe makes on the premise. They also smoke their own salmon, and make all the baked good displayed at the counter.
My friend couldn't eat some of the ingredients of what he was served, and they were happy to take it back and prepare the dish tailored to his needs.
The waiting staff was attentive and pretty friendly. The ambiance was conducive to conversations and seating was well designed.“

“Food: 10 /10
Service: 10 /10
Atmo: 10 /10
I really loved the chicken katsu curry for breakfast. I typically avoid chicken for breakfast, but they really made it work.
The matcha latte was nice. The bacon was good, but I honestly expected more of their namesake bc I've had better candied bacon. Also, was a bit expensive for 3 slices.
Service was friendly and attentive.
The Place was a cute old house with lots of vibes.“

“We came in on a weekday and it was pleasantly busy. Not too packed but had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There was only one server on at the time but she was very friendly, quick and had great recommendations. We got the French toast plate and the chicken fried steak with home style potatoes. Everything was great the gravy wasn’t too heavy you could tell it was homemade and the French toast so fluffy! Will definitely come back. It’s nice to have a classic style diner“

“TLDR: looks simple, tastes heavenly
When we stopped by in the morning on a weekend, the line was long and moving super slow, so we left and came back in the afternoon, which turned out to be much less of a patience-testing situation.
The sandwiches here are simply amazing - they look pretty simple, like they’d be nothing special but there’s so much flavor packed in them. I tried the Free Range Against the Machine, which was super delicious. The secret aardvark sauce also adds a ton of flavor for anyone who wants that kick of spice.
My partner also really enjoyed his sandwich. They are a bit messy to eat since the egg is cooked with a runny yolk but it’s all worth it.“

“Bagel was decent cream cheese is fake it was Newfoundland there was dirt everywhere all you have to do is look up it's completely dirty there's hair and grease everywhere if you look anything above the food line it's completely gross they should be reported to the Health Board the coffee was nasty I drank one sip through to it the bagel was decent but they need to clean and tell people that the cream cheese they're using is not cream cheese this Newfoundland I paid for more cream cheese and they put it heavy in front and then tilted it to where there was less in the middle and back so I did not get what I paid for it overall the experience left me mad for $8“

“I have eaten here twice now. And I really like the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. They have 3 or so vegan breakfast options, and more vegetarian. I have tried the vegan breakfast burrito and the vegan tofu scramble. Both are really tasty, they also do a variety of freshly made juices and smoothies. Enjoyable place, always happy to spend my money there.“

“My friend and I visit here every Friday evening. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Especially Jason. He remembers regulars, and is very genuinely caring about the people he serves. The servers, including Lupita, are very prompt and nice. Your drinks never go empty! We prefer this location because it’s not only open until 10pm, but because we have had such pleasant experiences with the staff. Food is pretty darn good too! Fresh breakfast meats and French toast! Thank you!“
