“We're traveling across the country (from Austin, TX) and this is the absolute best IHOP we have ever been to. The service from both the host and server were excellent, and the food (we later learned was cooked by the manager) was delicious. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms. If I lived here, I would be a regular.“

“The space is modern, but the chipper sinage is in a live, love, laugh font. Lots of country kitchen accents. The lighting is hideous. Three design trends in one space with bad lighting makes for a confused and uninviting space.
Service was fast and friendly, my coffee was never empty. The lone mexican line cook was getting hammered with tickets and putting out one photo ready plate after another. Food was decent.“

“The first Original Pancake House opened in 1953 in Portland, Oregon, by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, who collected recipes for their restaurant from around the world. They soon franchised the name and recipes in locations spanning more than half of the US states known for their breakfast foods; Its signature dishes are Apple Pancake, Dutch Baby, German Pancake and omelettes. They have over 100 franchised locations throughout the United States. The franchise has expanded to other countries such as Korea, Tokyo and Canada. Original Pankake House, an interesting and famous place to have a pankake of all sizes, colors and flavors and many other options such as juices, cereals, dishes prepared with eggs, bacon, omelettes, etc. Very careful attention. To make a point, the service was somewhat slow and the place is small and has a lot of noise and noise, but other than that, everything was very good.“

“We stumbled upon Bertie Lou's while looking for a brunch place near to where we had a nearby event later in the morning, and we're very glad we did! Not only were the two entrées we ordered both fantastic (although with a minor nitpick on one), but my wife and I saw several other interesting items on the menu that will most assuredly have us coming back for more!
We were immediately seated upon arrival at 11am on a Saturday, which seems close to impossible in Portland these days. I went with the Oaks Bottom Omelet, and my wife had the Bertie Cristo, with a side order of biscuits and gravy to split and share with our toddler son. Being generally not a fan of Hollandaise, I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my omelet; the sweet notes harmonized well with the bacon, garlic and tomato in a way I had not anticipated. Would definitely order again!
On the other end of the table, my wife also loved her Bertie Cristo, but found it to be a tad burned; this apparently is a common complaint here, and its the only reason I docked a star from this review, as it seems to be either intentional, or simply an reoccurring oversight on the part of the cook. It doesn't ruin the dish, but it does detract from it slightly. The biscuits and gravy, however, were above reproach, and enjoyed by all in equal measure!
Fantastic home-style greasy spoon cooking like this is a real treat, especially when there's a unique spin on a dish to make it stand out from the rest. Bertie Lou's Cafe has this quality in spades, and has one of the most compelling brunch menus I've seen in a café in a long while, and will likely take several return visits to explore them all. Hopefully, they'll dial back the burner a bit before the next one!“

“Love, love love this special eatery. The food and the wait staff is fabulous. Have eaten at this restaurant more often than any in Portland. Smoked Salmon Benedict or Smoked Salmon Hash is my go-to. Generous portions and simply delicious. We usually take our dog so sit in the patio. Staff is super accommodating They have recently opened to serve dinner as well a few days a week. If you haven't tried Harney Street Cafe , do yourself a favor and sample the cuisine and hospitality. You won't be disappointed. When my husband and I visit Portland, which we do at least monthly, we usually go to Harney Street on consecutive days. I also have to mention the in house made spicy sauces and in house smoked salmon.
Kid-friendliness: High chairs and spacious surroundings“

“This is a nice casual place to meet friends for brunch, there is something for everyone. The staff are nice and the food comes out fast. I had a teriyaki tofu sandwich on gluten-free bread. It had a pretty generous portion of marinated tofu, and the maple dressing on the side salad was great. There are not loads of super exciting vegan options to choose from, but everything is fresh, most things can be made gluten-free, and they serve Stump Town coffee. “Biscuits have always been pretty good. The West Linn Biscuits Meat Lovers Omelet was loaded vs the OC Biscuits. But the OC is also very good. Just noticed it was better at this location. Always depends on the cook on duty. The biscuits were soft and dreamy, bacon crisp just like we asked. Overall a very nice breakfast!Service could have been slightly better with coffee (asked twice) and getting us the bill quickly after we said no to extra coffee and asked for to-go box. But still not bad service by no means, just could be a tad more quicker. We will definitely come back here.“

“Such a cute place! The food is so good and there are options for everyone. Love the homestead vibe with the cast irons! It’s a family ran restaurant which is rare these days. So if you come in, then you’re supporting a local family that really appreciates it! :)“

“Nice little spot. Visiting from Va. We did the BYOB with the biscuit and gravy, scrambled egg, hash browns and turkey bacon extra crispy! We also tried the almond French toast! The food was fresh and made to order and came out perfect! That almond French toast is absolutely amazing! Our server was awesome and took great care of us. Highly recommend.“

“I always love ordering off the IHOP app and going into the restaurant to pickup the order. 99.9% of the time it is ready and the friendly staff is there to hand me my bag and send me on my way. ?
Today I actually got the pancake of the month the Reese's pieces pancakes. I'm including before and after I decorated with the peanut butter and chocolate sauces they gave me with the order. ?“

“Biscuits was an overall decent brunch choice. The fries are delicious as well the burger. The omelettes are also a good choice, but I didn’t like the hash browns at all. They could have been a bit more crispy for my liking \\u0026 they were also salty! You get a lot of food for the price. It’s worth trying“
