“I can’t say enough good things about these syrups. I use them to flavor my homemade kombucha. Adding a couple tablespoons to my F2 gives consistent results without the hassle of chopping (sometimes questionable) store bought fruit.

The syrup flavors are bright and fun and I love the seasonal offerings. Shipping is fast. Please never stop making these syrups!“

“This gd coffee is so good. It’s smooth and delicious every time, and Benevolent is one of the only non-chain spots that offers sugar free syrups. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious (that sausage!!!) but best of all, everyone who works here is just cool as hell. “Wow! We have been fans of Dean's Homestyle Cafe for many years. When the new owner's took it over this year, we were concerned about whether the comfortable, flavorful, "homestyle" experience we were used to would remain. The new team has done great! The staff is super friendly and working hard to make people feel welcome, learning names of regulars, and carrying on a place with a great reputation. The food is still excellent with super generous, well prepared portions and very reasonable prices. Well done!“

“We stopped by on Saturday night at 4:30 P.M. A little social media birdie had told me that they were open for dinner from 4:30PM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturdays (make sure to check their website for earlier hours). It’s a cute little spot. Lots of local art on the walls for sale and lots of seating. You can tell they make everything from scratch and you can follow the smoky and tantalizing smells of barbecue right to the door. My friend and I shared the deviled eggs with the bacon lardon-🤤-so good! Flavorful and tender. My friend got the polenta bowl with greens and brisket. I tried a bite and it was delicious! I had the mac & cheese with chicken and bacon lardon topped with breadcrumbs. Tender pasta and bacon and smoked chicken in a creamy sauce-yum! We ordered house red and white wines and both were great selections. We also took three of their dessert selections home for later. The location is a little off the beaten path, but I think it would be worth it for you to come on in and support this local business. I know that my friend and I will be back.“

“I stopped at a great little place and had a large French Roast coffee and a breakfast sandwich ham egg and cheese on a fresh croissant. 2 min and I was enjoying a great sandwich at a great value. I met Joo and he was very friendly. They are pet friendly with free dog treats. Enjoy staying and eat inside or sit outside below large very impressive trees that I am sorry I can’t tell you the species.
Anyway stop by and enjoy a quick bite and coffee. He also has an espresso machine to make anything to rival a Starbucks but at much better price point.“

“Erin made a delicious iced lavender mocha for me in January! I'd like to add the coffee was perfect and service excellent. My friend and I had a rough morning and she really turned it around for us with her awesome personality and smiles. I used to go to Grendel's in mornings when visiting friends in the neighborhood and was pleased to have another good cup of Java there. Stay rockin! ❤“

“I saw that there was a winter porridge special for Monday, so took the bus over from SE and had some rice porridge for lunch! The porridge itself didn't taste like much apart from rice, but all of the toppings added a lot of flavor and texture. I scraped my bowl clean! Looking forward to coming back another time to try other menu items.“

“Discovered Puff Coffees via a couple of cafes which featured this Stumptown origins brew. Picked up beans at one of those locations and was looking forward to visiting this coffee house. Only went in for beans and happily picked out some at the recommendation of the friendly and helpful staff. The inside is quaint, small and cozy. Left with two bags and a complimentary coffee to go. Stumptown has always been a very favorite local roaster of mine so naturally Puff is right at top shelf…utterly top drawer Watson! ;D“

If there’s one thing I’ve noticed about Portlanders it’s that dessert makes up 4 of the 3 required square meals of their day. No wonder people wait 40 minutes with 7 parties ahead of them at 1030pm on a random Wednesday night at an unmarked, dim-lit, eerie house. Just one woman, Eun, running the show for 17 years. She made me the best BLT sandwich I’ve ever had! Gets up each morning and cooks it perfectly. Not gummy nor burnt to a crisp. I have never not peeled the fat out of bacon before.

Peaceful seating right outside, nice breeze and one bird chirping. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot for my hour lunch break.“
