“Wow! We have been fans of Dean's Homestyle Cafe for many years. When the new owner's took it over this year, we were concerned about whether the comfortable, flavorful, "homestyle" experience we were used to would remain. The new team has done great! The staff is super friendly and working hard to make people feel welcome, learning names of regulars, and carrying on a place with a great reputation. The food is still excellent with super generous, well prepared portions and very reasonable prices. Well done!“

“Thank you Coco Donuts on Sunnyside! I accidentally ordered a 3oz coffee from Uber eats and the staff recognized it was most likely an error and prepared me a great 16oz Caramel macchiato. 😀 Not to mention their fresh, fluffy and delicious donuts!“

“I wanted this to be 5-star so bad. The food was outstanding, service was ok. We got brunch instead of the full tea service. Upon ordering, we were told that in the afternoon, breakfast items on the ‘brunch’ menu are not available. It also took an hour+ and when served, we were told brunch was second priority. If it’s not a true brunch nor priority, why offer it? These are both items I would have appreciated knowing before making an expensive brunch reservation.“

Various amazing breakfast choices; I prefer Classic Eggs Benedict or Waffles with Pecans topped with incredibly delicious Ginger Butter. Friendly, prompt and personable service by staff and owner. I flew in from Chicago and after a long work trip, I just needed some quality time with the hubby. It was a rainy night in PDX and the smell of the burning wood as we came in was a welcome one. Once seated, our server (beautiful girl with glasses and a big hair clip wearing a Jameson tee--so sorry, neither of us can remember your name) was so kind and gave us the privacy we needed, our food in a timely manner and fully supported my "dessert first" mentality. Thank you for being everything I needed after a long work trip. The pizza, the drink AND that delicious damn dessert was so good, worth every penny and making me want to come back for more.
