“Dinner with a couple of friends and we decided to try out the menu. Started with Aracini and the MB Salad. Delicious! On to the main dishes of Foie & Chicken Mousse, Grilled Prawns and King Salmon with Grilled Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts. Finished with the Gilled Bananas Foster. All the dishes were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or efficient.“

“I chose this restaurant because I really loved it every time I’ve gone. It is at 820 NE 27th Ave, Portland Inside the zipper building. This time I went I was the first in the door. It was a good atmosphere inside. I walked in at 10:53 A.M. I biked there from my house and it took around fifteen minutes. I sat down outside under the cover. I ordered a Fried chicken sandwich which typically costs 12$, But I also wanted the “Make it spicy” which is an extra 1.50$. So in total I ordered 13.50$ worth of food. I’m 99% sure that the “Make it spicy” was just a sauce, and 1.50$ is a little bit extra for just a sauce. Granted it was good sauce, but it is still a little bit much. Ok on to the sandwich. The sandwich was about 5 inches tall and about as wide as my palm. The first bite was very crunchy, and back to the “Make it spicy” WHERE WAS IT?? This would have been spicy for someone who finds white bread hot. The slaw was very good it had a good ratio between the sauce and the cabbage.
The pickles seemed homemade and had a good texture, they went under the chicken which is odd, typically they go over the sandwich. Same with the slaw, it was under. The bun was perfectly toasted and was very soft. The seat was a little dirty and had some weird black stuff on it. Although that is a public area and not basilisk’s responsibility. After I ordered I went to my seat which was right next to the door inside. The time from order to food being served was 9 minutes. I think that the time implies that they fried the chicken fresh, and it came out hot, quite unlike the flavor “Make it hot”. The service was very good and the man serving me was very polite. The ordering process was very easy because the menu was right above the counter. Overall it was a good experience, but with an option that says spicy, I would expect it to be a little bit spicier.“

“I enjoyed the Big Dirty! Great, flavorful and filling dish. And I loved the banana pudding! I’m visiting from California and will be back next time to try a burger. They looked wonderful and my friends said they were really good!“

“I recently visited Fomo Chicken, and I'm happy to say that the food has really improved over the years. The soy garlic fried chicken I had was delicious, and I appreciated the amount food I got for my money. While the customer service was okay, it was the food that stole the show. The flavor of the fried chicken was spot on, and it's clear that they've made strides in providing a better dining experience. If you're a fan of soy garlic fried chicken, this place is definitely worth a visit. Overall, a tasty and satisfying meal!“

The chicken was flavorful, and they have a condiment bar at the counter where you can add hot sauce (I did). The woman at the counter was pleasant to talk to. “My grandkid is not old enough to eat here. But he makes me stop here to get food. I'm glad there's no booze in the food. So my grandson can eat it. He loves it. I love ordering for him. I'm single and the girls in there are beautiful. So I'll get food there anytime him wants it. The view is great while you are waiting. I wish they were slower. So I can look longer. “I live near the aères and go here often. The male cashier can be a bit quiet sometimes but I personally haven’t had a bad times here. (I have read many reviews complaining about him, but you truly do never know what’s going on with someone else, but I am not using that as an excuse for others poor service) The noodles can be greasy, but besides that the chicken is really crunchy and I love the flavor. All the times I’ve been here they have stuffed my plate. It’s on the third level of the Lloyd center which is nice because it’s so quiet and you can sort of just be alone, compared to how crowded downstairs is. I’ve always gotten the two plate option ($13) and with water it’s ($15). I would recommend the lemon chicken and general chicken.“

“So not all Popeye's are created equal. This location on MLK has always seemed to know what they're doing. The stores clean and the staff are friendly, both to each other and the customers...heard laughter and jokes on more than one occasion while eating there. I tend to go for the tenders, Mac, mashed potatoes and gravy, popcorn shrimp and sometimes the chicken sandwich. I wish they would bring back the jambalaya, miss that stuff“
