“In Portland for 3 weeks. From Birmingham,Al. Live in Idaho..in Birmingham their is a huge Greek food scene. Eaten tons of good Greek food. In Idaho their is no good Greek food. So I was dying for something good. And boy did this place not disappoint. As a matter of fact, this is some of the best Greek food I've ever eaten. Unbelieveable stuff. They make these twice baked potato crisps that are just off the chain..sliced thicker than potato chips from Red potatoes, these things are sprinkled with Greek seasoning and salt and are perfectly crisp on the outside while soft and warm and light on the inside. Just awesome. Had the gyro. The Taziki sauce was the bomb. You can tell its homeade. The pita was perfecyly toasty on the outside yet still somehow pillowy soft. And the Schwarma was divine. And do not skip the homeade hot sauce. Holy hell. The owner makes it. And it's more a puree/hot sauce salsa. Just one of the best things I've ever tasted. Anyways, it's fire. And the people who run it are salt of the earth nice. Try it. You will love it. It's special food. Can't wait to try the falafel and baklava.“
“It's too bad The Lamp essentially went out of business during the COVID shutdown, and is unlikely to return to the cool neighborhood bar that it used to be. Luckily, the Aladdin Theater took over the space so at least you can still hang out and have a drink while waiting for the show next door to open. Beats waiting outside in the rain.“

“Best Palestinian owned falafel place I’ve ever been to. The falafel alone is worth it to go across town for. So good it almost makes me cry at the first bite. The shawafel wrap is absolutely amazing. Everything this place has to offer is so delicious. You will never be disappointed no matter what you try.“

“I don't even know how to put into words how amazing the food is here. This is by far the best gyro in Portland – probably in the entire Northwest. It's exploding with flavor, insanely delicious, and the portion size is excellent – they do not skimp. The price is VERY reasonable and the service is excellent and very friendly as well. The recent revamp into Midtown Beer Garden also turned this into a wonderful, cozy place to enjoy your food. Cannot recommend more highly.“
