“Best Samosa Chaat I’ve had! Vegan choices with tofu (I had Tofu Saag)! Only Indian food I’ve found with tofu as protein option in Portland. Great service. People care if you are enjoying food and if spice level is right for you. Covered outdoor seating was nice on summer evening. We will be back!“

“Are you sick of the same ol’ same ol’ pizza? Do you love Indian food? Well then this might just be your place. While they do offer the classics for those not looking for something new, for everyone else there is an amazing collection of Indian fusion pizzas. Of course they have a chicken tikka pizza, but that’s just the beginning. Just check out the menu and tell me you’re not compelled to give this place a try. We ordered the tandoori paneer pizza and the vegan Punjabi garlic breadsticks. And the verdict… Holy crap! Drop what you’re doing and get over here. Best breadsticks I’ve had in a very long time, if ever. Very bold flavors, chewy, delicious. And the pizza, while the flavors were more subtle, they were deliciously complex. I’m excited to return to explore the menu further. Do yourself a favor and get over here now.“

“My husband and I had heard great things about this cart, so we came and got a ton of food to give it a try. We are so glad we did! The word of mouth is absolutely correct. The food was fresh, delicious, and perfectly spiced. Plus the portions are very generous. Our stand outs: chicken biryani, lamb curry, and veggie pakoras. The biryani may be one of the best I’ve had anywhere, we both had to throw away our spoons to stop eating it. The lamb is tender and the curry flavor is deep and rich and flavorful. The pakoras are more substantial than others I’ve had, but they had great flavor and I loved the coriander chutney they came with. This cart is a gem and I can’t wait to go back for more!“

“I love the food here, it’s always delicious & cooked to perfection. The service is great too! I mostly get takeout but there’s ample dine-in space. You can still catch some of the 50’s-style influence from the diner that was in this location previously but it’s pretty mellowed out now. Definitely worth the time & money; we should always support our local small businesses, especially restaurants :)“

“One of my favorite restaurants in Portland. Has great dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options. You have to try their Tikka Masala. Great staff, great food, great drinks. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Remember folks, all the negative and over the top ago reviews within a few days of each other are hate brigades. They are bots and accounts that aren’t in Portland and have never experienced Desi Pdx. since no service was provided it should not be considered valid.“

“Chicken tikka masala was perfectly prepared. First time in as long as I can remember, where the chicken was not overcooked and instead... soooo very juicy and tender. Garlic naan... yum. Pakora was delicious“

“I sample some chicken marsala two weeks ago a friend had. I placed a to go order while I was on my lunch. I sampled everything once I got back to work. IT WAS SOOOOO DELICIOUS AND EXTREMELY WELL SEASONED. The food was sooo good when I got home from work; I heated up more of it. DANG IT!!! Was just as good as the first bite. I was up at 2:22 am finishing off the rest. Justin was amazing and has the best food selection advice. Please visit. I swear you won't be disappointed. Signed Tenise“

“Ordered delivery from here, my work location is about half a mile. The food was ok… had better Indian, but again this place is close by. I ordered Dahi Bhalla chat which was actually very yummy… would order that again. Also ordered an eggplant dish called Baingan Bhartha. I ordered mild, should have done medium spice. It was an ok dish, a little on the salty side for my tastes. The rice was nice and fluffy and also ordered garlic naan. They didn’t include forks or napkins 🤷🏻♀ however I would order from here again“

“Wow, amazing food. We were visiting portland from east coast and tried saag chicken + shrimp biryani from this place. The taste was top notch and spice level was really good as well according to our requirement. We wanted high spice that can satisfy desi tastebuds.“

“I am traveling from Billings Montana with my girlfriend and we decided to order online and stop by. Both got saag one chicken and one shrimp with plain naan. Came with rice just needed to order naan on side. Portions were big and very satisfying. Incredible saag. Big and delicious naan bread. Extremely happy this is exactly what we expect from Indian food, and it’s awesome how they run from a truck. Thank you guys for a great meal and being open later 🙏. Keep doing what you’re doing cus it’s great. Really pretty area that we could sit in even though we left to eat at home.“

“Amazing flavors for the egg plant Masala and Lamb saag that I ordered. Medium heat was still pretty spicy. Better value than at a restaurant. Hummus could use more garlic, but overall- absolutely delicious. Last Saturday of the month features an open mic in this tiny park.“

“This is a must try place! I stumbled upon them by accident, was walking down Woodstock with a friend and the delicious smell of the curry steered us away from our previous path.
I got the lamb curry, and OH MY GOD. The chunks of lamb were big, they were tender... The curry itself was just incredible... Quite effectively the best lamb curry I've ever had. I will definitely be back for more, and soon!!“

“I stopped here to have some dumplings for lunch and I'm so glad I did. The dumplings were amazing. I also got two different sauces on the side, one mild and one hot, and both were great with the dumplings. I'm so glad I discovered one of the best dumpling spots in the area.“

“my dude, I love this place. they have great food at great prices, and I HAVE to share this: they make kheer (rice pudding, something I am obsessed with), and the first time I went there I found out it had pistachios, which would give me a massive allergic reaction, so I asked if they ever made it without pistachios, and the lovely lady there made me a special batch the next day that I could eat. this was like months ago. I continue to go there all the time but I don't always see her there (which is fine, everyone has different shifts), but today when I stopped in, she was there and she let me know that she had again made kheer without pistachios just in case. 10/10 food, 10/10 customer service, and just like 20/10 experience.
Also, I appreciate how they have a variety of dishes there to choose from every day (there's always a few different meat dishes and a few different veggie dishes and then there's also always something tasty that has been fried, like samosas or pakora, and naan).“

“They have the most fantastic Indian street food. It is truly wild to me this spot isn’t more popular!
The kati roll with paneer is a personal fav along with the okra. But every dish is truly delicious and the decor is magical.“

“I enjoyed the lamb Kathi roll, the spices were on point and the naan bread soft and delicious. However, I was pretty shocked that it came only in tin foil. I would’ve expected it to be wrapped in paper and then tinfoil to make it easier to eat, and also prevent accidentally eating a piece of tinfoil, which is incredibly toxic.“

“We love Little Tibet! (Especially at our favorite St. Johns/Peninsula food cart pod!) The momos and curry are The Best (I could eat momos every day the rest of my life and be happy... perhaps even chubbier, but quite content.) Tashi and Lahkpa are genuinely beautiful people, which makes the food even better.“

“First time trying and will order again. I got for takeout: Butter Chicken it comes with rice. Its very flavorful, savory buttery sweet but not overly sweet. I requested medium spice. I also ordered garlic naan which was deliciously garlicky and had herbs. I also got the tamarind chutney which I highly recommend, spicy tart and sweet. The green chutney was good too but if I had to choose I would get the tamarind chutney.“

“So very yummy! I only wish they would label their foods better on food delivery apps. I would order from them all the time if I only knew which dishes were vegan, contained allergens like nuts, etc. unfortunately, I don’t order anymore because I don’t know if something will have an ingredient I don’t eat or that I’m allergic to.“

“Shocked to see so many negative reviews, honestly. My SO got lamb vindaloo and a mango lassi from this cart and thought it was an absolute banger of a meal. It looked great to me—really thick, rich sauce and lots of nice, juicy looking chunks of lamb with a healthy portion of fluffy rice. Great price and portion because he had some to take home for later, as he could not finish the whole thing! I watched him get his order taken and the guy at the counter seemed lovely.“

“First of all, for a $20 Indian buffet the options they offer is really not bad. I personally enjoy their food, and when I’m craving Indian cuisine as a broke College student, Namaste is where I come back running to. Every single time.
Second of all, I’ve also read the negative reviews and almost all of them give “I like boujee $100 lunches and dinners only” vibes. This isn’t a 5 star Michelin establishment, so stop being cringe and if you want “exotic” Indian experience then go somewhere else.
Overall, for the price, it’s cheap decent quality food you can’t beat.“

“INCREDIBLE! the mango lassi was delish & affordable. the butter chicken perfectly spiced, garlic naan so crispy and soft, and the samosa had a salty dust that was SO delicious. everything was fairly priced too!! Vinay was so kind and made me feel welcome! This place is worth every five star, theres a reason why there’s 1,000 of them!!“
