Delicious food, friendly staff, transporting atmosphere. We sat outside at one of the street tables. Soooo good!
Such amazing food & such sweet people! Really love this place & highly recommend :)
They have the most fantastic Indian street food. It is truly wild to me this spot isn’t more popular!
The kati roll with paneer is a personal fav along with the okra. But every dish is truly delicious and the decor is magical.

Bollywood Theater is a Portland favorite that serves delicious Indian street food with a twist. The restaurant offers a kid-friendly atmosphere, with booths and outside seating, and has a great selection of vegetarian options, including the Paneer kati roll. The menu features standout dishes like the chicken curry, cooked with coconut milk for a sweet and creamy flavor, and the chicken tikka bowl, a hearty meal with grilled chicken, curry chickpeas, and rice. The decor is inspired by Indian culture, with Indian movies playing on TV and decorations throughout, making for a unique and reasonably priced dining experience.
The food is amazingly flavorful, with light refreshing options perfect for hot days. Guests enjoy the long menu of Indian street food, including Kati rolls, okra, beets, and pav bhaji, along with Chai tea. The service is good, and the indoor and outdoor seating adds to the experience. Some note the Kati rolls can be soggy from too much sauce, while others praise the delicious flavors. Prices have gone up over the years, but the food remains very tasty. The restaurant can get busy, leading to a fairly long wait at times.
