Was craving authentic Indian cuisine. Hamara delivers, & they have the heat I enjoyed. Everyone was so nice & the chef was fast. Saved on my must eat list.
Delicious Hyderabad biryani. Best I’ve found in Portland. Wonderful people.

Hamara Restaurant is a stall in a food hall, not a full restaurant. The food is amaaaazing with better flavor and more well balanced in spiced than most restaurants. The Chicken Tikka Masala at the very hot level did not disappoint; it was spicy but did not overwhelm the delicate blend of other spice flavors. The Lamb Jalfrezi and Fish Jalfrezi are memorable, with warming spice, mellow tartness, and a balancing dose of sweetness. Fries are thick, hot, tasty, and seasoned throughout. The Gobi Machurian had actual fried curry leaves. Portion sizes are generous and ingredients are fresh. The service is beyond fantastic and the staff is so friendly. The family running it are pleasant and sweet. The atmosphere is exciting. It is recommended to order ahead of time because it takes a little while, but well worth the wait. This is the best Indian food in Portland.
