“The staff was so extra! I have allergies to a lot of things and upon hearing that they made extra sure to use different tools that were just cleaned each time. I love when staff take that extra step. <3 They also toasted just the meat alone when I brought up how I didn't want the cheese melted. Just those small things that make your meal taste better.“

“The sandwich was incredibly filling and delicious! Our order came out so fast, and the staff were so kind and attentive. We got a sandwich and a salad—I ended up inhaling half the sandwich right there in the store. I genuinely love this spot. It’s super cozy, clean, and everything tasted amazing and fresh. We even had to go back and order two more sandwiches!

“I am thankful that this Subway is not closed. It's always clean and speedy. Felix is the best employee/manager in any fast food restaurant I've had the pleasure to meet. I stopped by this convenient location on my way home from work, and now, just when I'm out shopping. My thought is that the only thing that could use improvement is the parking lot exit onto NE Jessup Street. There's no obvious easement onto the street. Thank you Felix. ?

Parking: Easy in off street and just need to be a little cautious exiting onto the side street.“

“I try hard to leave an open star giving the business room for minor improvements. Although there are those rare moments of appreciation that leave the customer an all around complete and satisfying sensation that hits deep to the core. Immediately I noticed the cleanliness, the organizing and inventory fully stocked, that is not easy to witness.“

“This location is the cleanest and the staff are the friendliest people EVER and they are not busy like the others on 162nd division or 122nd division..those 2 places are horrible and dirty and rude. “This was a nice Subway! They had two people working the store, and seemingly had a drive-through (the first time I’ve seen this as an option for Subway.) The two sandwich artists (an older lady and this sorta twinkish employee with AMAZING T-boy energy) banged out my order quickly, easily, and with a smile. Nice work, friends!“

“I am a vegetarian, I usually come in person at night after 9pm . There is a guy called Bhushan who does the Veggie delight so good and with care. He even changes his gloves after touching meat or any other food and prepares the order with care . This is my to go at night and i have been a regular customer ever since.“

“Classic Subway atmosphere. The manager, at least, is an excellent Sandwich Maker dedicated to a positive customer experience. My favorite is an Italian BMT on Italian Herb & Cheese bread with extra pepper jack, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and all the veggies except lettuce. Sometimes I change up the sauce, which makes it fun!

Vegetarian options: This location has veggie patties! Also, did you know? If you don't get meat, or the veggie patty, then they don't charge extra for avocado.

Dietary restrictions: It's build-your-own, with ingredients of the bread clearly listed. If you have a serious issue, just let them know, and they'll change their gloves and wipe down the line before they begin building your sandwich, in accordance with the health code. Then, just don't order anything you're allergic to. Easy!

Parking: Very limited parking. The parking lot is very small, shared by several businesses, with lots of time restricted parking spaces.

Kid-friendliness: The classic Subway atmosphere in a relatively safe neighborhood makes this a fine place to take the kids for a quick bite. They even have a kids menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room, sandwich line, and restrooms are all fully wheelchair accessible.“

“I have been a regular here for years, the sandwiches are good and the employees are always awesome.

That being said, it seems that management doesn't seem to care about staffing the store appropriately. At most there are NEVER more than 2 people manning the counter, no matter how busy, and that is not the employees fault, that is understaffing by design to maximize profit and is an unethical business practice by the franchise owner.

There is another issue, and its a MAJOR one. Today I went into the store for lunch and it is easily over 90° in there...The two staff members were sweating profusely, (also they had to have the toasters and oven going) and were obviously struggling while they did their best in temperature-wise unsafe conditions.

When i say it was uncomfortable, I mean the store wasn't just warm...it was stifling and *H*O*T*, like 7th level of H*ell hot. I felt like I was suffocating just being in there ordering my sandwich and I can't imagine having to WORK in there for hours.

I asked what happened and was told that their AC unit broke again, just like it did LAST SUMMER when they didn't fix it for aTWO WEEKS, which was also during a heat wave. I bumped into the repair person on my way out, who said the compressor went out AGAIN (his words) and that they need to replace the whole unit but they won't.

Shows how much the owner of this franchise values not only their customers, but MOST IMPORTANTLY, their crew. Boss man or lady, without those workers, you are NOTHING.

Learn to treat them right....and get your freaking AC fixed, it is shameful that employees making probably minimum wage have to work in an unsafe environment.“

“To the person who made my order at around 11 pm august 17th 2025. I am in love with you. Toasted to perfection, loaded with veggies and NOTHING is skimped on. Wishing you to get your full deposit back on your apartment, your pillow being forever cool, room never getting stuffy and your car never stalling 🙏 It was so good I came from doordash.“

“This is the best subway downtown. Don’t even mess with that one up at PSU until they get their act together and get that place clean. This place is nice. And it’s what a Subway should be. The kids and I go after school so it’s technically not like the peak hour. You know. It’s server time to reset for dinner. Maybe eat take a break. And here we come trucking in. But you know what? They always real nice to us and the place is spotless. I’m telling ya. This Subway, I’ve been going there 30 years cuz I used to work downtown and I did one time design a sandwich for them. It’s a good one.“

“Best place to come for food and service. The manager, Johnny, is awesome and goes above expectations to give his customers a perfect visit and encourages them to come back. The other associates are great too and the food is better than some other subways I've been to.“

“I love eating here on a lovely rainy day where you can watch the world go by in a store that smells so delicious! The employees are super nice and respectful and the lobby is always clean and sparkling! And the bread smells divine and the sandwiches are so good! Can't wait to stop by and eat here again!“

“I like this location because it's never very busy and they stay open till 10:00 p.m. . it's in The Pearl district so it's a fairly decent area and you never really have to wait very long in line. The employees that I have met that work there are always friendly and helpful and the store is always clean. My only complaint is that the prices have gone up so much. it cost the same price for spicy Italian now as the turkey sandwich costs. they're both almost $12 each now. I feel like I can't even afford to go to Subway very often anymore.

Vegetarian options: you'll find just the usual toppings for Subway sandwich there nothing too fancy.

Parking: it's difficult to find a parking spot here because of all the apartment complexes in other businesses there. they don't have any designated parking area for this location. it makes it difficult to be able to stop to grab a quick bite.

Wheelchair accessibility: The door is wheelchair accessible and I believe the restrooms are too. that is if they are allowing people to use the restrooms at this location I haven't asked but I know they have them there.“

“This last Saturday night, Sept 7, at 8:45 PM, (15 minutes before you closed) I realized I had no contributions for our Church's next day, after service, Sunday Potluck! And I would be picked up to go to Church at 9:30 in the morning. (I live in an Assisted Living facility, and had no groceries or transport to get any,
So using my walker, I managd to leave my building about 8:40 in the morning, and got there a few minutes before your employee CODY had readied all to open at 9 AM!
With the finest, fastest preperation, he made twice as many subs that were on sale for a special cost.
Talk about a Sunday Morning Miracle!

“If it's slow they do okay but if it's busy it becomes obvious they have no clue how to run a restaurant. Also they don't take coupons and act kind of indignant about it. They took so long that after 20 minutes standing in line I literally left. I love Subway and this is the closest location but I promise I'll be going to the one down the street on Barbur from now on and so should you.“

“Came to this Subway this past week and I couldn't have been treated better. I am pretty sure that the man that served me was named David or Dave. I've waited tables all of my life and was extremely impressed with David. David was beyond professional and was very kind. He made my family's sandwiches so fast and was constantly making sure with us that we were happy. I'll continue to come here in the future and hope that David/Dave is our server. “This is the cleanest most well organized Subway I’ve been to in years. It reminds me of how it used to be back in the day when I was a kid. I definitely credit that to the wonderful older woman who works there. I wish I had her name but she sounded Ukrainian or Russian. She’s always very quick, kind, and you can tell she really takes care of that place. As soon as I get her name I will be updating! This will be the Subway location of choice for me as long as she is there, just wonderful!“

“The manager at this subway is an awesome guy. Took care of us with going above and beyond. Even though he was alone at 2 am. and the line had several others waiting , he was quick..kind..good attitude..and worked hard. I can't remember his name, but he had a slender build..glasses.. and young about 20 maybe“

“Guy( server 420) working didn't honor coupon, he said coupon expired on 11-4-24- it did not! It expires on 11-7-24- still have the entire flyer that coupons came in mail. Debit card and coupon machines not working. But credit card went through, night of presidential election, 3 ,12 inch subs for 19.99- so 2 coupons for that amount- guy( server 420) working said 5 sandwiches would be to many for him to make, needed to be 24 hr notice for cantering. A couple had come into store when guy (server 420) was making sandwiches and bellowed across store , that they might want to go somewhere else because he had to make 5 sandwiches and it was going to take a long time to make. Went back to store this am to talk with manager, guy from night before there also, manager, didn't know how to handle the thievery and lies this guy did the day before, manager said there was a was a way to put money back on card and honor the coupons that were still active, but she didn't know how to do it . She couldn't call her boss because boss had to take care of daughters medical needs. She said she could only call boss in case of emergency. So with the threatening help subway is hiring, ( server 420) charged me to knock me down, im elderly and handicap, but i stood my ground as a customer. Manager saw all this also. will never visit another subway, ever. Subway needs to own up on thier actions.“

“Super convenient location on my way home from work. Staffed mostly with young kids that don't seem to care too much but maybe I'm just used to the Midwestern friendliness as have recently moved to Portland from Wisconsin. All in all a good place.“

“I go here regularly there's a new employee Brittney she is very polite and has the best customer service!!! Plus hands down makes the best Sandwiches! on top of all of this the store is clean and bathrooms are very clean. I'll definitely be back!!“
