“I've tried several other places around Portland for bahn mi, and while they've all been satisfying, these ones are legitimately the best I've had.

The ingredients are all so flavorful (I got the grilled lemongrass pork and the chili momi, highly recommend!) But they also fill the sandwiches very well. I was stuffed after having the Super Combo.

The staff were friendly, the food is delicious, service was quick, prices reasonable. I will absolutely be back!

FWIW, I went at 4pm on a Thursday. Traffic was getting heavy, but parking was plentiful. I would suffer the traffic for this place again.“

“Portuguese muffins are my favorite. When visiting my grandparents Newport, RI, the muffins were always my favorite for breakfast - and in the past I have asked family to mail me muffins on occasion. Lottie & Lula's breakfast sandwiches on the muffins are to die for. I always get a 4-pack of muffins to take home. If you have never tried coffee milk, it is also an amazing Rhode Island treat! ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Got the half plate lunch w the kale Caesar and trout, and it was great. The Caesar had a bit of lemon in the dressing so it was light and fresh, and the trout was fresh and flavorful. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff were super friendly.“

“I stopped by with a friend and his girlfriend to check this place out, and overall, it delivered a solid experience. I ordered the Southern fried chicken, which was flavorful and well-cooked. Fair warning: it comes generously coated in sauce. It adds great taste, but it’s definitely a hands-on meal, grab plenty of napkins before digging in.

The JoJo’s were a standout. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, they’re dangerously easy to keep eating. They reminded me of Pringles in the best way, once you have one, it’s hard to stop.

As for pricing, it sits on the mid-to-higher end. It’s not a budget spot, so come prepared to spend a bit more.“

“This was my last meal on my final day in Portland, and I decided to try a Japanese sandwich shop.
The sandwiches were good overall. The egg salad was nice, though it felt like it could use a bit more mayo for a richer texture.
The yuzu cream was delicious and refreshing, but the bread itself was just okay.
The service was friendly and attentive.
Overall, a good spot to try, especially for something light to end the trip.“

“I would love to call Addy’s a “hidden” gem, but they are far too busy to ever be considered hidden! This cute sandwich shop is only open 4 hours a day, only Monday-Friday so if you want to try it you should plan to wait a bit for your food.

The wait is worth it however! They serve delicious sandwiches and salads, with generous portions for the price. I always enjoy checking what the daily sandwich and salad specials will be. They are usually creative, tasty, and healthy.

For me the tomato tapenade panini always hits the spot. They don’t skimp on the mozzarella! I usually get a turkey salad too, and it’s always chock full of cubed turkey and avocado.

The real pro tip here is to get some of the free sauces next to the water station. I love the green sauce they have. I would buy it by the bottle if I could!

The employees here are friendly! I mentioned that I wish I had gotten a side of the wild rice salad they had today, and the employee behind the register kindly gave me a sample!

“I visit here on a regular basis as it's very close to my job and a place I can get in and out of pretty quickly. It's service goes above and beyond. I love the owner and it's workers. They are friendly and fast. I always order the bulgogi without lettuce, tomato and peppers and it's honestly so good, I'm afraid to try anything else but their menu is so large I know without a doubt I'd like pretty much anything offered. My kids and husband also enjoy the bulgogi as well as the teriyaki chicken and spicy pork bowl. I definitely recommend“

The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. “Monkey subs has been by far the best sub shop in town for over a decade, but lately their sandwiches have changed. I’m not sure if they changed their bread but lately it has tasted hard and stale and the meat portions have dwindled to only a few slices. They used to load the meat on. The store is quite busy but is also well-stocked, organized, & carries the customary large number of vegan-friendly products & brands. I'm am glad to have the Fremont location of Whole Foods nearby!“
