“Lunch dates are underrated. Lottie & Zula’s is an amazing spot for some of the best sandwiches in the city! If you have that debate between breakfast and lunch split the difference and make everyone happy here!! They have something for everyone and it’s all delicious!!!!Vegetarian options: The beet sandwich is so good!!!“
“Since they moved to the single location in the heart of an office building, they’ve become increasingly harder to enjoy simply due to horribly limited parking and further limiting their hours which also directly overlaps with the times of day to which the large offices in the area are full of employees therefore using all available parking for extended periods of time. Great food and great service if you happen to live within walking distance or think far enough ahead to order delivery and don’t mind paying extra fees and additional tips for couriers.Edit: thanks for the update on the hours :) I’ll definitely keep that in mind!Parking: Little to no parking available during open business hours due to the location being aligned with a large office building with the same business hours that already limits the areas daily parking availability.“
“Absolutely insane sandwiches. The flavor profiles are so well thought out. I got the prosciutto brie melt, my husband got the tony, and both were so phenomenal that I could not pick a favorite if you were holding me over a vat of acid. Save room for dessert.“
“Any excuse we can find to come over to this side of town for Lardo we do. Definitely a repeat restaurant of ours and for good reason. I don’t think there’s a single bad item on the menu and the patio in the summer is a really neat place to have lunch or dinner. Plus the rotating tap list never disappoints! 10/10“
“Super delicious Italian beef and fries. As a Midwest native, I can confirm this place definitely knows how to make a great sandwich. Really really enjoyed the fries with the zombie sauce as well—love a good crinkle cut fry!Definitely will be back to try more of the menu as the cold sandwiches also looked delicious.“
“I used to work at one of the Geraldis in Arkansas and it was pretty spot on to what I know. Worth the 3 hr drive. I ordered the Italian sausage and they cut it into medallions instead of lengthwise. Other than that, flavor match is what I remember. Very good. I’ll need to come back and get the chicken parm sandwich and the Chicago beef.“
“I love this spot for a quick and affordable lunch! Their ranch salad is such a great deal, $5.50 for a sizable salad packed with bacon, blue cheese, veggies, and a deviled egg on top. Tried their Sandwich Week special today, the Banh Mi Patty Melt, super tasty! The tots/fry sauce are also excellent.“
“LOVED IT!!! Brought back memories of theGreat Sub Shop sub I had back in the 80's!Definitely will be back. Didn't know there were any "real" Sub Shops around anymore. Really missed that flavor. Yum! I had what they call the Holiday. Turkey with cream cheese, cranberry sauce and lettuce. Hubby had the Full Boat. All meats and toppings.“
“The best Philly cheese steaks in the world. They have it mastered! I literally eat here for celebrations and won't eat Philly any place else. Ever! Everyone else is disappointing. The people who work here treat us like an old family friend! Seating available. Great views and glass bottle drinks. In pioneer square. Down town. Can't miss it. Don't miss it. Must try!“
“This place is sub sandwich heaven. I ordered the turkey club and was more than impressed with my sando. The herb mayo with the combo of oil and vinegar is a match made in heaven. They bake their own bread and it is the perfect balance of outer crunch and soft inner chewiness. Every bite of this sandwich was like a breath of relaxation at a Palm Springs spa. The people who work here are super kind.I drove 30 minutes from Corbettt to get to this sandwich shop and would not hesitate to do that again. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the sandwich combos. Thanks Snappy's“
“A brief passing glimpse of a “Jawns” sign glowing in the night led us to this joint. We ordered the moment they opened the next day. My husband is from Philly and we lived there for years. We have tried pretty much every “touted” cheesesteak in Portland with varying levels of disappointment. Until now. THIS IS IT. Just bread, onion, meat, and cheese in some age-old, who-knows-what, you-know-it-when-you-taste-it alchemy of flavor that IS a Philly cheesesteak. Thank you thank you thank you. We’ll be back!“
“Out of this world subs! The teriyaki beef sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. This place makes old fashioned subs like you remember when you were a kid... But better!! I highly recommend. I ate one there and got one for later. I'm so happy I did that! I love this place and I will be back. ??“
“Can't get enough of the Italian Stallion. Their burgers are also really good too. Their prices are super affordable and the sandwiches are super delicious and packed. It's no wonder why it's called Mo Betta because it's Mo Betta than what you'll find anywhere “
“Hadn't been here for 10+ years. Just as good as I remember. No one else there for breakfast on a Monday morning, not sure why, but we really appreciated it. The breakfast burrito was good but OMG the maple sausage break pudding sandwich was all time.“
“I’m very excited to have found this sandwich shop. I’ve already been a few times and each time has been the same tasty, high quality sandwich. I highly recommend the Dutch crunch bread as others have mentioned. If you’re looking for a great sandwich in Portland, you won’t be disappointed with this spot. Will most definitely be returning.“
“Got the turkey cranberry relish with Brie panini and the sandwich special which was a corned beef, sauerkraut, Gouda and pickle panini. Both sandwiches were amazing and ready for pickup on time. The staff was helpful and nice. This is going to be our new go to sandwich shop!“
“Check out Katie's Cafe if your looking for a cozy atmosphere to grab some coffee, salads, or toasted sandwiches! I recommend trying their Cobb Salad; its very refreshing. They also have some Asian type cuisine options to choose from, but their sandwich options look delicious! The staff working here are very kind, attentive, and accommodating towards all your needs. I look forward to coming back here whenever I need a quick bite to eat.“
“SANDO SUPREMACY! You may need military-grade antioxidants after eating fried breaded pork items, but these guys are doing it right. Egg sando has a bit of wasabi in the mix, very elevated street food culture plus cozy merch! Wish more places had their own shirts and hoodies. Yuzu lemonade thing was also pretty good, not over sweet like so many places but just clean vibes.“
“It's two blocks away. I order and it's ready in 10 minutes to bring home and Chow down on. Unique consept; kinda like a waffle taco. Try it and you'll be back. Once in a while I run into somebody in the park on a bench eating one. I ask them how the waffle is and they don't stop eating but give me a thumbs up. Been meaning to try that in the summer.“
“My favorite place for breakfast, lunch, and snacks - the people at Ross Island are so kind and welcoming, the food is always incredible, and it is definitely affordable for the high quality of service/food here. I cannot say enough good things about this place, but can absolutely recommend the breakfast burrito!“
“I was so hungry that I didn't take a photo (oops!). My friend recommended their eggplant parmigiana sandwiches. We ordered for pickup. They were hot, crispy, open and tasty! Service was friendly. They are a cart under a covered area. I'd come back to try the chicken Parmesan.“
“I cannot stop going since they opened the new location in Sellwood. I've been 3 times out of the 5 days they've been open so far and planning to go again later this week. Everything is delicious and the staff is super friendly! Outstanding local “
“We have been here about a dozen times and finally tried this stand after only hearing good things about them. My concern was that I didn't want a waffle sandwich that was going to have overly thick bread. Let me tell you that was not the case. The waffle was absolutely appropriate, somewhat toasted so it didn't fall apart and was delicious. This cart has been here forever and I understand why. We got the cordon blue and the Van Gogh along with the hot chai. The Van Gogh was definitely the show stopper as it paired well being more of a breakfast sandwich. We ended up trading half and half to split each sandwich and while I thought the cordon blue was done very well I thought it was pretty rich to have two halves. Very glad we split this. The only feedback is that I wish the Chai had a bit more milk in it as it was pretty watered down. I understand it is a waffle sandwich stand first and not a coffee cart and you should too. Overall this place was great and I intend on ordering from it again. Would spend money here again and you should too.“
“This is a solid go to spot for my wife and I. For us, hands down best sandwich shop in Portland. We’ve been getting takeout for a couple years now and have never had a bad experience. The staff have always been polite and professional, with a surly punk rock edge here or there, but always professional. I think they take pride in making great, unique sandwiches with high quality ingredients. I’m a #3 add turkey guy, it’s a 10/10 sandwich with the kale and chow chow.“
“Great food and customer service, employees are always welcoming and full of energy. Marshel is an excellent example of outstanding customer service, providing efficient service with a smile and a good joke makes a good day that much better, cheers.“
“Great food, Great customer service! They offer grilled paninis, soups, salads, daily specials and even breakfast and desserts! I always order the grilled vegetables paninis, excellent and great portions. They also offer lunch combos at a very fair price. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Grilled vegetable paninis , avocado toast and salads. They also have a breakfast menu including bagels. They will make any substitions asked for if doable.Parking: You can find them on Cutter Circle on Swan Island. They have a small sign that says DELI by the street to help you find it.“
“Super yummy Sandos at the Bakers Mark! I ordered the Turkey with cheese and all the toppings and I was more than impressed with my sandwich. All the toppings were good quality and the bread is amazing. Parking is a little hard to find but the quality of the sandwich makes up for that. I cannot wait to come back and try all the other options. You order from a kiosk and you can easily customize your sandwich to your liking. Great place with super friendly staff.“
“This place is FANTASTIC. I got the Torpedo and chicken teriyaki. Food was great. Full parking lot and dining room but I was still served in less than 5 with a custom order. The lady after me was in such a hurry because she had very little time for a break and they got her a chicken teriyaki to go and maybe 45 seconds after she paid. Food selection is fantastic. The atmosphere is really cool. Continued store worth of go drinks ready. They also have an order yourself kiosks and they checked in just to make sure you didn't need help the first time using something like that. You can really tell that this was a place that lots of hungry workers came for years. They still have remnants of security doors from when the neighborhood was not as friendly up here in slaptown. In the 10 minutes it took me to write this review. The place is cleared out and the next batch of lunch time folk showed up. This place is truly badass.Wheelchair accessibility: Is really good Wheelchair ramp“
“Bonkers bahn mi and boba beverages beckon you to Best Baguette, one of the best baked bread businesses in PDX. If you're a fan of Vietnamese sandwiches, you know this is the place to be, and if you're not...you will be after trying one!“
“I finally tried Gene's Deli after Subway stopped carrying Swiss or cheddar. I wish I had tried it a long time ago! My sandwich was absolutely delicious and the gentleman who took my order was kind and funny. Much better than Subway. I look forward to getting sandwiches from Gene's regularly!“
“Located next to a movie theater, it was a rainy day, but the place was bustling with energy. We enjoyed The Bunk Cubano and the Double Burger, both of which were delicious. The staff were all friendly, and the atmosphere was delightful.?✨“
“Been here a bunch! I've tried all the sando's, and most of the cold case items. They do it right at this Bodega!!! Just tried their new fried chicken hot case and its fire! Great service, Great Food, awesome and unique snacks from around the world (and they carry common snacks too). Pricing is good, the place is clean, and I truly recommend this place! This place isn't your typically mini-mart stop, it's worth popping in! 5 Stars all day! Kudos to the staff! PS I love the seasonal deli cold case items too! AAAAA+++++“
“If the Ninja Turtles ate anything other than pizza, they would eat East Side Deli sandwiches (specifically the Italian). I believe this with my absolute whole heart. East Side is the type of sandwich shop you dream about... it's what every other shop in town wishes they could be. Having a bad day? Get a sandwich. Hungover after yet another failed Hinge date? Get a sandwich, add a chocolate chip cookie and a Mexican Coke. The Staff is unmatched, friendly and thoughtful and I'm pretty sure you can actually taste the love in every bite.“
“HELP PDX recently remodeled two bathrooms, installed a kitchen backsplash and repaired a lot of drywall in our home. We are thrilled with the results and so pleased we chose to work with them. I have worked with a lot of contractors on all types of home construction and remodeling in recent years and HELP PDX is the best contractor I have worked with, the most honest, reliable, efficient and professional by far.My family had recently purchased the mid-century home in Portland and we were eager to complete the renovation and move in before the birth of our second son, less than 4 months away. We were aware that this was a short timeline for the remodel and doubtful anyone would meet it, even if they said they would. What struck me first about Berenice Lopez-Dorsey was her directness and honesty in all our communications. So when she told me she could meet our timeline as long as we held up our end in choosing materials, finalizing the design, etc., I believed her. Her honest and clear communication continued throughout the project. Whenever there was a hiccup - with a sub, with a schedule, the arrival of damaged materials, etc (all of which are inevitable in a renovation, in my experience) Berenice reacted with complete calm and immediately went into problem solving mode. And she solved ALL THE PROBLEMS. I found myself wishing I could call on her for troubleshooting on problems not related to our renovation! All of the carpenters, tile installers and other professionals directly employed by HELP PDX were equally considerate and professional and took real pride in their work. From big decisions, like how to lay out the tile - to small touches, like carefully sanding the corners of a new piece of baseboard trim - the team went above and beyond. Likewise, the subs HELP PDX recommended for plumbing and electrical did high quality work.I also loved that HELP PDX offered to do the design of the bathrooms with me. Their designer, Alicia Gutiérrez, did an amazing job on the designs and was a pleasure to work with. She was patient and responsive with all our many design ideas and updates and the autocad renderings she produced gave us complete confidence that the end result would be what we were hoping for. Alicia and Berenice were also incredibly helpful when we had questions about materials, etc. We felt so confident in Alicia's design, we actually went out of town for more than a month during the build out and tile installation, knowing the result would look like the perfect renderings she had produced.Last but not least, Berenice and her team completed their work on the impossible timeline we had asked for, just like Berenice said they would. Both bathrooms were complete well in advance of the arrival of the newest member of our family, which was a huge relief.I would highly recommend you work with HELP PDX and I hope we get the chance to work with them on another project soon.Services: Bathroom remodeling“
“My first time I ordering Capriotti's and I got a Chopped Cheese. This is my first time ordering Chopped Cheese from any where and I love it! I can tell the fries were freshly cut, no additives or preservatives on their potatoes, straight quality. I'm a private cook myself for a big company and I do make my own Chopped Cheese at my work place, but Capriotti's Chopped Cheese blew me away, especially their fries. I will definitely come back.“
“Kinda quiet, friendly and sociable staff and owner. Great sandwitches!Dietary restrictions: sandwiches. Are still super tasty without cheese/dairy.Parking: I've always been able to find parking easily. But there are limited spots.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to front door.“
“This is a quaint, little, unassuming place to eat. If my friend didn't take me here, I wouldn't have noticed it at all! But it's got a nice view of the river, pretty clean, and quick service. Nice owners, and the cook was really good. Definitely worth grabbing a quick bite when you're in a crunch!“
“This place is one of the best places ever in Portland it's sad now that they don't give out pita bread on their salads been coming here for 20 years and always received bread it was thebest part of the salad. But if that's my only complaint check this place out I wish them another 50 years of business. I wish the best to the old owners on retirement. You guys were amazing people.“
“This is hands down the best Jimmy John's location in the entire Portland area. On my most recent visit I was greeted with friendly smiles and waves the moment I approached the door. I thought there would be a line at noon on a Wednesday, but the cashier was too quick! It's like he knew what I wanted! The sandwich crew was firing out sandwiches so freaky fast it felt like they're coming from a T-shirt cannon at a Blazers game. You can tell each sandwich artist really takes pride in their craft. There was such a good vibe in the shop it made me wish I hadn't ordered to go. I even received a hearty fist bump from a delivery driver on my way out. Every ingredient on my #15 was appropriately portioned especially the extra mayo and extra hot pepps. It was so beautiful I chugged it before I could take a picture. Well done Lloyd center JJs“
“I only stumbled across Lee's because I picked up an order for somebody's coffees. Even those people who frequent this establishment for their coffee delivery hadn't The faintest of idea. Behind the unassuming and patriotic coloring of the entrance door you can't help but notice the abundance of enormous and pristine industrial looking equipment back behind the counter. This is where the magic happens. If in your world, carb is King, You're only doing yourself an injustice by not checking this place out! If you sworn off carbs for the rest of your life, you may want to reconsider and check this place out!!!!“
“Tokyo Sando was scrumptious and flavorsome. We got and tried a few things. Got the egg Sando and it was delightful. I am a sucker for some good egg salad and theirs hits that spot lol. We also got the Naka sando, miso chicken katsu sando, and the miso pork katsu sando. All the sandos were crunchy and the meats juicy! Blended extremely well with the bread. The bread is soft and buttery. Not pictured is the chicken karaage. It was yummy, crunchy and was like popcorn chicken. I’m happy they moved and DIDN’t permanently close. I have more items I want to try, so I will be back. The hours and product are limited so go earlier than later. We went on a Saturday around noonish and it BUSY! The wait can seem long but it really isn’t. This place is popular and well worth it. Parking can be rough but manageable.“
