“This was my last meal on my final day in Portland, and I decided to try a Japanese sandwich shop.
The sandwiches were good overall. The egg salad was nice, though it felt like it could use a bit more mayo for a richer texture.
The yuzu cream was delicious and refreshing, but the bread itself was just okay.
The service was friendly and attentive.
Overall, a good spot to try, especially for something light to end the trip.“

“Jojo is one of our all-time family favorites. So gloriously indulgent, with all the fried chicken and the drippy toppings - the pickles! the jojo sauce! the slaw! Secret menu hack is to get the fried thigh - it's a steal - but personally I can't resist the Southern chicken sandwich. “I would love to call Addy’s a “hidden” gem, but they are far too busy to ever be considered hidden! This cute sandwich shop is only open 4 hours a day, only Monday-Friday so if you want to try it you should plan to wait a bit for your food.

The wait is worth it however! They serve delicious sandwiches and salads, with generous portions for the price. I always enjoy checking what the daily sandwich and salad specials will be. They are usually creative, tasty, and healthy.

For me the tomato tapenade panini always hits the spot. They don’t skimp on the mozzarella! I usually get a turkey salad too, and it’s always chock full of cubed turkey and avocado.

The real pro tip here is to get some of the free sauces next to the water station. I love the green sauce they have. I would buy it by the bottle if I could!

The employees here are friendly! I mentioned that I wish I had gotten a side of the wild rice salad they had today, and the employee behind the register kindly gave me a sample!

The store owner was very nice and gave me a few recommendations for what to eat and he made an excellent choice because the food was amazing. The environment around the outside of the store was a little rough but that was not the store owners fault and shouldn’t take away from the quality of the food. The strawberry sandwich looks just like the viral 7/11 but was kind of disappointed with the lack of strawberry but that’s just a personal preference. “My original JM was the OG in Point Pleasant, NJ. I’ve been coming for years- all over the country. Today, the online order counter was packed to the brim, when that got done the line was almost to the door. The staff working was super friendly, helpful and patient while I figured out my points, made me a delicious sandwich, was speedy with all guests and were racing, ever so calmly in demeanor to clean tables. “I regularly purchase this brand, and have never had a complaint until now. I recently purchased two tuna salad sandwiches, and there was less than one tablespoon of product on the bread, and it was concentrated in the center of the bread (about 2 cm diameter). Very disappointing. The egg salad (my favorite) never has this issue. All other products have had ample filling, and always fresh-tasting.“
