“Preston is one of the kindest, most personable bartenders in the city, so glad LB was able to retain his talents. Give that man a raise.Beers are diverse; light sours are the main attraction, but plenty of IPAs, stouts + lagers as well. The lager is stellar. Nice to finally see some higher ABV options.Patio is great, dog friendly, both open air + more private options. The establishment encourages outside seating, which is nice to see when most places are practicing COVID denial.Lawless BBQ is no Holy Trinity, but damn good, and very reasonably priced. Happy Hour has some great deals!!All around great spot. Cheers!!“

ForeLand Beer Portland Beer Gardens • $

“I had my wedding welcome party and rehearsal at ForeLand and they were just lovely. They were so accommodating throughout the whole process of planning, with being flexible on the timing and hours as well as the decorations and music. Our guests LOVED the venue - it felt cozy and intimate but was out of this world cute and beautiful. The beer and wine were all absolutely incredible. It started off my wedding weekend on an amazing note and I couldn’t be happier with the choice. Thank you David for everything - you are an amazing human and ForeLand is just lovely.“

Conscious Sedation Beer Garden Beer Gardens • $
1505 NE Alberta St, Portland

“A fantastic beer cart located square in the middle of the Alberta Arts District. Many beer styles are represented, and always by very small local breweries that are hard to get elsewhere. Also a great can selection. The staff is top notch: personable and knowledgeable; they've never steered me in the wrong direction. There's no food, but it's located in a cart pod. Go to the Senegalese cart and pick up some African peanut dish over rice, or bring something from home. They have heaters and fire pits for when it's cold too!As close to a local's bar and third place as we have on Alberta.“

“Food truck pod with delicious options. All the food trucks we've tried are delicious! My faves are Jin Dak (the bi bim bop is so good!!), Miasha (mouthwatering Kenyan dishes), & Taste of Casablanca (the lamb is insanely tender and seasoned). You really can't go wrong with any of the options here and I appreciate that they have covered and heated seat areas.“

“Best taphouse in the Corvallis/Albany area. There are always new beer selections and there are at least a few beers of each type (i.e. IPA, stout, lager, etc.). The staff is friendly and helpful. The new outdoor area is also well done and super cozy. 100% recommend stopping by for a drink. You can also bring in or order outside food.“

Unlimited IPA Beer Gardens • $
6350 SE Foster Rd, Portland

“Fully support this place after the name change; I encourage anyone who didn’t care for their previous name to give them another shot. They clearly meant no harm, and recognized the harm they caused when called out. That’s all anyone can do in their position. We live in a world where appropriation is normalized, not their fault.Small but lovely selection of beers, not just IPAs. Can selection is for the haze bros, lots of $20+ 4-packs, but some interesting stuff.Amazing selection of vinyl, have heard Cat Stevens + Kendrick + Denzel Curry + metal I can’t name. Fun outdoor seating out front. Tall ceilings + lots of bench seating. All beers $7 (2024). Very wheelchair accessible. Not much more you can ask for from a taproom tbh ??Oh yea, they have a broken window outside currently, and are fine with pro-Palestine art on their boards, so that’s appreciated ??“

Captured Beer Bus Food Trucks • $
113 SE 28th Ave, Portland

“Don't ask me why, but I love drinking beer out of this bus. I had a 9% stout this week that was delicious and cold and memorable. There is plenty of seating around the food truck area pod, or a heated nook at the bus itself. I love having a good rotation of spots I can have a drink solo in PDX and this is one of them.“

“The brother at Khao Niew told us to check out his sister's restaurant here- and here we are for dinner. Lemme tell y'all... This was my favorite restaurant we ate while we were in Portland for a week!!! The food is AMAZING, it's as authentic as it can get. The spice level, the flavor, the portion - just done right!!! The nam khao 5/5 - the crispiness with the nam was perfect- the portion was so big I couldn't finish it but omg, this was one of the best nam khao I've had. The khao piak 5/5 - my all time fav comfort food. The broth is amazing, the noodle makes the broth thicken up, put a little bit of chili oil to give it that "umph" ; just writing this review makes me crave for it again lol. The Lao Sample Platter for 2 consists of : papaya salad, sien savanh (heavenly lao jerky), lao sausage, soft boil egg, pork rinds, rice noodles and sticky rice.. we weren't going to order this but my fiance wanted to try everything and see if it meets up with his expectations.... And it sure did!!!! The papaya salad is spicy, that good spice that makes you want more- tip, put the vermicelli noodles in the papaya salad, trust me. The beef jerky was so crispy yet so tender, hard to explain but it was just done right. I love the fried meatballs, simple yet so good when you're eating it with sticky rice and papaya salad. The Lao sausage was my fiancé's favorite, he said it was just like home. The service was quick. You order at the counter first. They have a nice patio section too. They also sold beef jerky - the kind in the bags. We bought two of it lol All in all, amazing experience. We'll be back when we're visiting again!!!“
