Some hits and misses. We ordered:- Fried Cauliflower Bites- Cajun Mac and Cheeze- Fried Chicken Basket- Po’ boy sandwich- Southern Ice TeaMissesThe cauliflower bites had great crunch but were completely bland. You’ll definitely want to get an add on sauce to go with it. The fried chicken also had really great crunch. However, I have no idea what the “chicken” was? I assumed it would be seitan but it was quite soft and a bit mushy. Perhaps TVP bits? The honey bbq sauce and the crinkle fries were great with it! Despite it being a basket meal, it was served on a large plate and looked empty and a bit sad. The presentation would’ve definitely looked better in a basket. As someone from the south and who was raised on southern iced tea, the tea was bitter and would not recommend. My partner said his sandwich was decent. He mostly didn’t like the sauce that comes in the sandwich and wishes he was able to switch it for a different sauce.HitsThe crinkle fries were nicely seasoned and had a good crunch. The mac was also really good! It was well seasoned and “cheesy”.ServiceWe arrived a few minutes after opening and it was already very busy. I would recommend eating outside or ordering ahead of time. Everyone who was doing pickup still waited approx 10 minutes after arriving so plan to wait a bit. There appeared to only be one person working the front. He was super friendly and communicative with everyone. Had it been me, I would’ve been very overwhelmed.

This is THE best vegetarian food I've ever had, and I've been on this diet since 13 years old. Old. PDX best hidden jewel. We got the chicken bacon sandwich w portobello fries, the BBQ with fries, and the side of the chicken basket w fries. I was mind blown. I wish they were in Seattle. But I will come back every time I'm down in Portland.

Worth the wait! I called in the order and did takeout. As a vegan myself, some of the best vegan food I've had in a really long time. Might have been the best meal I had visiting Portland.

Not a vegan or vegetarian as a person I love my meats lol. Decided to expand my pallet by trying different food places. When I googled “Vegan places Portland” this restaurant came up.Since I heard of rave reviews of both the seitan chicken and ribs I decided to try both. I had the seitan chicken to to dine-in an decided for the ribs to go. While I was eating my seitan chicken the owner offered to keep the ribs in the warmer which I thought was a nice gesture. When the seitan chicken came out the presentation was nice . Upon biting into it, it was so flavorful and so juicy I found it really hard to believe that it was not chicken. You get such a filling portion. For those of you who are hesitant to try this just go you will not regret it. The owner had a very nice and genuine vibe to him as well. Go try it!

Honestly amazing, I think the straight up best Vegan food I’ve had. I’m not vegan but was blown away by the chicken wings and fried chicken. The side dishes and the sauces too were just absolutely delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough, just go.

One of the best spots in Portland. Not the healthiest option, but definitely the tastiest! I haven’t had catfish since I was child, but I got to experience it again here. Everything is delicious!! Get the cornbread! Get two orders of it!

This place is amazing. Coming from a black person that used to enjoy soul food before veganism, soul food is hard to make vegan but this place makes it seem easy. Between mine and my partners plate, I had a lot of the menu and their food perfection

It was an amazing experience! The owner was very exuberant warm and easy going and just a good vibe! It’s extremely exciting to find places that are vegan and not overly priced and just cauliflower. I highly recommend this

Absolutely amazing vegan southern food!! My jaw dropped at my first bite of the ribs. Hushpuppies were so flavorful and delicious as well. The servings were generous and we brought home leftovers. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Absolute best place for vegan food in Portland. My I live 55 mi away from this restaurant but when the urge hits for dirty lettuce, there is no substitute. From ribs to wings to fruit pies, putting together your meal from their menu is a task in itself. I cannot recommend enough the cornbread which blows away anything you can find from any other restaurant on the I-5 corridor. I am happy to have you prove me wrong, but I don't think it can be done.Kid-friendliness: Laid back atmosphere with outdoor eating available. Small indoors but nice for a quick stop for a bite.
