Ok Omens put together an amazing meal and wine lineup for our group’s dinner. Food was delicious, service was great, and the somm worked with us to pick options that our whole group loved.Dietary restrictions: They handled multiple food allergies and dietary restrictions in our group and were very accommodating.

Horrible experience. We came here a year ago and had a wonderful time and chose to come back with our family. I never write reviews so taking the time to write this one means something. When we first arrived, we had previously requested outdoor seating, and were placed inside, in the very back. This felt like it was intentional given that we brought our children. When we asked about getting an outside table, we were met with a rude remark that those are only reserved ahead of time. Gluten free options were minimal and left us hungry. The food took 2 hours to come and we were not checked on to ask for refills etc. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to OK Omens. This was the worst experience we have had in our 2 years of living in Portland. So many better restaurants to visit that are worth your time and money!Dietary restrictions: Do NOT come here if you are gluten free.

Did not like seeing the menus placed on the booth bench . Tried to put it under a dish so they would be taken away and it was placed back on the booth bench where it was in my view the rest of the night.Other than this.. the food was delicious. Had a dozen Oysters and bread and the mushroom pasta that was so rich I was unable to eat it all. The dessert was a take on a banana split and instead of sharing I would of wanted one by myself . This was the best part of the dinner and want to come back just for oysters and dessert.I also opted for no alcohol and had a ginger soda they make and it was delightful so much that I had 2.Over all an enjoyable evening and will be back.

Awesome place. I think we tried 7-8 different wines, a number of small plates and two entrees, everything was delicious. Great service. Absolutely recommend. We will be back.

We used to love OK Omens. Super fun wine list with a ton of great new finds! The wine is still great, but the food was not as good as we recalled. We may come back for wine, but it won't be a rush

It's all about flavor at OK Omens. Every dish is a piece of artwork on your palate. Gorgeous wine that fit our mushroom pasta and shrimp panzanelle perfectly. And the brownie with malted milk ice cream? Yes please!

The atmosphere of OK Omens is really cute. The beet salad was really good! We also ordered the cauliflower soup, cacio e pepe mushroom pasta, and the duck, which were all just ok. They were all really tangy, and the tang overpowered the rest of the dish so it was really hard to enjoy the whole meal.

Adding 23% automatically (for all party sizes) to the bill is fine if the food and the service back it up, but they don't. The owners say that 3% goes to cover the health care costs of the employees, which sounds great, but considering how expensive this place place is, why can't the owners just pay the health care themselves like every other business, instead of passing it on to the diners? The message is "we are too cheap to pay for health care, so the diners can pay it".Our server told us she doesn't even get paid health care because she is part time and many of the staffers are also part time!If the 3% for health care doesn't go to the staff, who gets it?? If you guessed "the owners pocket", you're probably right!Do they stop charging the 3% when the health care costs have been fully paid? I doubt it. Scam operation by greedy owners.

What a neighborhood gem! The Marinated Ahi is good, a bit salty, but the Shiso Gelee was amazing. The stars of the evening were the sweet and salty white cheddar beignets and the Tepache Mountain and Omens Winter Old Fashioned. The Fried Chicken Torito salad and Crispy Duck leg were not far behind, very well prepared and yummy. Looking forward to going back and trying other menu items!

Well balanced food. Excellent wine selection, attentive but non-intrusive and professional service. Had an amazing night with friends.

Regardless of how good the food is (or isn’t), or how good the service is (or isn’t) you’re required to tip 23%. Tremendously presumptuous. Won’t be coming back on principle. That said, totally support the 3% wellness fee and love the plants, atmosphere and decor. I can tell the Wagyu is good but I just can’t taste anything except the salty sauce they poured on top. Other reviewers have made similar observations. This place does have potential but I would have been happier spending the $60 almost anywhere else.

The basil ice cream dessert was to die for! As was everything else we ate. Inventive and exciting can only begin to describe our experience here. From all the beautiful natural lighting, to a bathroom amusingly decorated with bottles, to a wine list that made me giggle, this place earned a permanent spot on my must eat list for all my visiting friends.

We will definitely go back. We had a wonderful experience. The waitstaff was top notch; helping a novice wine drinker pair a great bottle wine with our meal. The food was excellently prepared. 1 starter, 1 salad and 2 entrees was more than enough food for 2. The value exceeded the price paid. Again, we will enjoy this restaurant again!!! Thank you for the great experience.
