“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

As a mom of a young kiddo with Celiac, I was so happy by their dedication to keep their gluten free products from cross contamination, from the scoop washing to the glove changing. And the variety of products my daughter was able to get! She has never had a waffle cone in her life and ice cream sandwiches are only from a very very select few prepackaged companies that are impossible to find to begin with and incredibly expensive. “My baby shower was held at The Steeping Leaf. We visited twice before: once for an afternoon tea and once for lunch. Both times beforehand we were met by the owner to discuss the shower. The tea menu is extensive and each time we had excellent tea. All of the food is delicious! For the shower, once we had discussed what we were looking for (Mad Hatter Tea Party), the owner took it from there. We arrived for the baby shower and everything was decorated and set up. It looked incredible! The space is so inviting, the decorations were amazing, food was delicious, and the tea was great as well. I would recommend the Steeping Leaf for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and special events. We will certainly be back!“

“extremely quick place for frozen yogurt. little human interaction as the yogurt and toppings are all self serve. only thing you need to interact with somebody for is to weigh your yogurt and pay but the whole process takes less than 10 maybe even 5 minutes if you know what you want.“

“Can't wait to go back - and it will be soon! The tacos were wonderful with tender meats; asada, birria, lingua, and el pastor. Sides of cilantro, onion, salsas, and lime were served. The elote was delicious and with the just the right amount of fixings. We stumbled across this place on the afternoon of the eclipse and the weather was nice enough to enjoy an outside table. The street was so quiet, with very little traffic except for the street cars that ventured by so we enjoyed the sunbathed table whilst we enjoyed lunch and watched the eclipse. The service was friendly and attentive. This place took us back to the great places we frequent when in Mexico. We're so lucky to have this authentic place here in Pittsburgh. “I'm a big fan of scoops! The location is perfect for grabbing a treat after dinner in the area or on a walk. They're open all year and open late which is super convenient. I love that they carry my childhood favorites (Superman, White House cherry, grasshopper pie) and the price is super reasonable. They have a little sitting area inside with some retail space selling pop, ice cream cakes, and candy. There are SO many options it always takes me forever to choose, but I usually pick two. This isn't the place to go if you're looking for super high quality locally churned ice cream or anything but is great if you're looking for a classic scoop of something sugary and fun or are going with a group who has varying tastes. There are tons of flavors kids and grownups alike will love (shout out blue moon!!!!) They have some frozen yogurt options, dairy free options, and things like milkshakes if a cone or cup isn't your thing. A go-to when I'm hanging out in Bloomfield and want a treat.“

Even when uber delivered for them they pack the ice cream with such care making sure in case the driver has other stops your ice cream does not melt they put ice bags with it.
