We loved this place. We knew the food would be delicious but we were not prepared for how amazing the staff would be also. Everyone was helpful and friendly and made for a great atmosphere. Don't skip the funnel cake for dessert! We can't wait to go back.
Pro tip if you can’t get a reservation: come for lunch! We arrived right at 11 on Saturday and were the first ones in. Our waitress was delightful, and we had the whole fish (OMG!), the fried soft shell shrimp, the chicken soup (maybe the least wow of all the dishes), a melon and Asian pear salad, funnel cake and rice pudding. I’ve now been on a mission to find “ginger buds” to use in my cooking!

This is a very overdue review so some of the details of our meal are a bit fuzzy, but everything we tried at Mawn was delicious and very flavorful! The restaurant itself is small/compact, but the service was exceptional and perfect for an intimate dining experience. The dishes are at a higher price point, but appropriate for a special occasion or if you're simply in the mood to try something unique. It can be hard to get reservations so planning ahead is recommended!
