My family and I found Shay's on a trip to Philly and were amazed at the delicious food, warm atmosphere and incredibly kind and welcoming service. I enjoyed my chicken caesar wrap, but I definitely want to get a Philly Cheesesteak next time after seeing how much my husband and daughter enjoyed theirs. Scott and his wife made us feel at home, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries and ice cream with which we were treated. Being at Shay's after many days of traveling was a huge blessing- we were welcomed and treated like VIPs. We won't forget Shay's and hope to return!

Shay’s cheesesteaks are ridiculously awesome. It was like having a fine dining meal. I had the ribeye cheesesteak and it was far better than the steak I had at Fogo de Chao the night before. Scott the owner is passionate about his craft and it really shows. I don’t write reviews that often but this place was amazing.

Was in Philly for the UPenn graduation ceremony. When in Philly I always find an opportunity to eat cheese steak. Instead of going to Jim's or other popular tourist spots, we tried out this new place opened just 48 days ago by Scott & Jackee DiClaudio. Scott is a judge in his day job and inspired his wife to open this restaurant. As we sat there eating our cheese steaks, this charming gentleman stopped by to ask us how we were doing. It was Scott, the owner and he took me to the back of the kitchen to show me that they have no freezer. They get their prime rib and New York Strip Steak fresh everyday, whereas the other places use frozen meats. This South Philly style cheese steak restaurant offers myriad of choices of seasonings and toppings. We had the prime rib option with sharp Cooper cheese, peppers and onions, red garlic jalapeño and it was delicious! He said he would serve us rare cheese steak on our next visit as we like our steaks rare. We were in heaven for 15 minutes while we devoured the meal. Didn't know that cheese steak could taste that good! Well done Scott and Jackee! We'll be back for more.

I Heard a lot of great things about Shays Steaks, so I had to go try it out for myself. WOWWWW 10/10 !! The cheesesteak( so flavorful )with the melted sharp and the seeded roll was the perfect trifecta. I tried to slow up to enjoy it more but I just couldn’t put it down. The chicken cheesesteak with the hot honey was also out of this world!!! Can’t wait to try the rest. Great service, cool vibe and awesome owners who make you feel like family the first time you meet them!! I'll be seeing you guys soon !

We got the prime rib and new york strip cheesesteaks and they were SO good. They were made fresh and customizable with seasonings to choose. Highly recommend the red garlic jalapeño seasoning. The seeded roll was great and not super hard like some other places. They were smaller than the average cheesesteak but they are stuffed so they are still filling and the quality if unbeatable!! The owners Scott and his wife were super hospitable and engaging. Would definitely go back.

Shay’s is the spot for cheesesteak in Philly! Had the NY strip and it was GREAT! Handcut steak to order, fresh peppers, huge mushrooms and their homemade whizz. The bread was soft and had a good chew. The sandwich was piping hot and delicious. They even offered up a slice of garlic bread that was melt in your mouth good!I know there are a lot of places to get a cheesesteak but this should be #1 on your list!
