“Riley K was the best server we’ve had at a restaurant in a while, we basically let him order for us and he hit it out of the park. It would be wise to request him if you can. His knowledge and passion for the food is exceptional. He certainly made the experience one to remember. The Dorade was amazing, the skirt steak also incredible. The brown sugar ice cream is 10/10. Not a single thing hit our table that we weren’t 100% impressed with. The after dinner drink he suggested was perfect. Monte negro or something I can’t remember but it’s wonderful. He will take care of you.”

“The Love. was simply incredible! We came here with our 6 year old son. Our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating to our 6 year old which you don’t always find in Rittenhouse. The atmosphere was light and airy and the food was great! Make sure to try their Dubai Chocolate Sundae and if you’re going with children they do have special kids cups and will accommodate the menu for them.”

The main courses were delectable and different: orange chicken parmesan and cacao e pepe with meatballs. The chef talked with us about the dishes and treated us to glasses of orangecello (like limoncello) to cap off the meal.”

“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.”

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!”

“It's hard not to enjoy the ambiance at La Croix overlooking Rittenhouse Square while in the background, there is live violin music. The Sunday brunch was enjoyable. We started with the devilled eggs, which had a unique, enjoyable undertone of saffron. Everyone at our table enjoyed their entrees, although I thought the hash brown in my Lobster hash brown was oily and flavorless. I think they missed the mark on dessert with the only true dessert option being a "make your own sundae". As it's a brand new brunch menu, I'm sure the kinks will be worked out. We would return!”

Also just for transparencies sake in regards to cost - currently it is $80pp. I actually had a hard time finding what the price was before booking, but that could be on me. However if you're gluttons like us, you will be getting whatever add ons and drinks :) So dinner for 2 plus tip ended up being $300. Not a deterent, just a heads up if youre planning a visit. Will absolutely come back and highly recommend!”

I’ve been here many many times. As a viet, this is my favorite Bun bo hue (BBH) in all of Philly. It’s just sooo good. Their BBH broth is flavorful but balanced between sweet, sour, salty, it’s heavy with herbs and spices such as lemon grass (as this broth should be), while the meat is thick and plentiful. My go to tend to be BBH or banh cuon (also the best around). I’ve also tried their dry noodles and beef pho, both were phenomenal and would reorder again. The food is always fresh and hot, I could tell it was made with care.

The place is small and there may be a wait depending on party size and when you go but food gets served quickly. They serve tea at no charge instead of water (it’s rare to get free tea like this anymore). All the ladies there are very friendly. Highly recommend this place for great authentic Vietnamese food.”

I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. Maybe.....maybe!....they caught a bad batch of goods....but its highly unlikely. Everything sells out! How can stuff be stale? Impossible!! Everything they produce is simply sensational. I've never heard of any complaints from anybody who I know to be a regular customer. Pricing? Is that even worth mentioning? Does anyone gripe about the price of a Mercedes? Prices are reasonable for the city, and 4-6 is happy hour so I came at the right time for great prices and drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend! Plus this is walking distance to many nice hotels downtown. Only 5 min walk from the Kimpton Palomar! Would recommend calling ahead to ensure availability.”

“Just wrapped up a "steak-out" at Geno's Steaks in South Philly legendary landmark that draws tourists like moths to a flame. Or me to the Bat signal. And let me tell you, this place is a Gotham-sized slice of Philly flavor! The fluorescent lights and bustling energy felt like a scene straight outta Joker's Gotham night club. I went with the classic "Whiz Without"—that's Philly code for a cheesesteak with Cheez Whiz and no fried onions, for all you Bat-fans out there. One bite, and I was hooked. The thinly sliced steak, melty cheese, and soft roll created a symphony of flavors that would make even the Penguin surrender his lunch money. But Geno's ain't just about cheesesteaks, folks. Their cheese fries, ordered from the separate window where you get fries and sodas, are a gooey, delicious crime against healthy eating. Coke products available to drink. And Cherry peppers, relish, ketchup, and mustard are free and self-serve. While I devoured my feast, I couldn't help but notice the wall adorned with police patches from across the U.S. – a tribute to the thin blue line that reminded me of my own crusade for justice. Snapped a pic in front of it, a symbol of the shared fight for good that unites us all. Overall, Geno's Steaks lives up to its legendary reputation. It's a taste of Philly history, a tribute to the everyday heroes, and a cheesesteak experience that'll leave you saying, "Yo, that was good shtuff".”

“Celebrated a friend’s 50th birthday Saturday night and came here for dinner at 7:30pm. The hostess was friendly and our server was attentive. We shared a bunch of apps and they were all delicious!! (Edamame, shrimp pad thai, chicken lettuce wraps, chicken satay, and brussel sprouts) After dinner we went up to the roof top which was the perfect ambiance for a girls night out… drinking espresso martinis and enjoying the weather. “To me personally best cheese steak I've had so far! Many options to choose from on toppings and cheese, mine was around $17 but you get your money's worth - it's BIG. There are other things besides cheese steak and pretty sure they have drinks and beer. Order in the right window, when your order is ready they display your name on the screen and announce it on Mike/speaker and you pick up in the left window. It's CASH ONLY and there are no seats inside, some tables outside. We parked on the street and walked over, no designated parking lot. Staff was very nice. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!”

“I've been in Philly 16 years, and eaten at every major fine dining restaurant in the city, many more than once. Amada, Zahav, Budakkan, Vernick Fish, you name it. Every Stephen Starr. Every Michael Solmonov. Every Jose Garces. This is the best meal I have ever eaten in my life. The carrots, the beets, the mushroom taglioli, the tuna tartar, the beef carpaccio tartlet, the duck, the liver mousse, the steak...I could go on. Every single bite was either perfect or nearly so. Both of my daughters and my wife said the same. We talked about our top dining experiences in Tokyo, Paris, St. Petersburg, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Miami, Chicago, there have been so many, many good meals in our life.
