“Worth the wait. This was our last Philly Michelin m-starred restaurant to try. It’s the absolute best. The food was extraordinary and I’m already dreaming of my next meal there. My particular favorites included the buckwheat tart with morels and both pasta courses (one was an add on). Sadly I will now never feel satiated unless I’m eating Chef Schulman’s triangoli. A beautiful and intimate space with incredible care by the entire staff. Amanda Schulman was incredibly welcoming and engaged with the diners. Wine pairing was outstanding as was my Negroni made with Bruto Americano. The marzipan rhubarb cake was the stuff dreams are made of. So, so, so happy after this meal. Did I mention? Attentive and wonderful, wonderful staff. Thank you for an amazing evening!”

“The Love. was simply incredible! We came here with our 6 year old son. Our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating to our 6 year old which you don’t always find in Rittenhouse. The atmosphere was light and airy and the food was great! Make sure to try their Dubai Chocolate Sundae and if you’re going with children they do have special kids cups and will accommodate the menu for them.”

“We had the perfect cozy, comforting meal on a frigid winter night! The servers were attentive and took the time to answer questions and led us to pick the best menu items. The drink selections were excellent and I was happy to have a number of non-alc choices. We started with the layered lasagna and the “not Caesar” salad, both unique and delicious. The star of the meal was the gnocchi with local mushrooms. It was incredibly savory with so much flavor and the right amount of crunch. We will absolutely be returning to see what’s next on the menu rotation!”

“Not kidding. Our table of 4 ordered nearly everything in the menu. Each bite was delicious, balanced, nuanced, worldly, fresh, and inventive. We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. “Wholesome Deli is my go-to place for lunch, Its food is always fresh and delicious. Adel and Jane always spread joy with kindness its just a wonderful intermission in the middle of the day.”

“The pilaf is dry, the rice is always undercooked, and the pilaf itself is tasteless, lacking the wonderful, rich flavor that this delicious dish should have.
I recommend adding more salt when preparing the zirvak* adding more carrots (there clearly aren't enough in the dish), and steaming the rice until fully cooked. Currently, it seems the rice is undercooked by about 20%.

Update: The pilaf is much better now. I recommend it 👍”

“Yes, it is actually open 24 hours. I have no idea how they do it considering how massive the menu is, but I’m so glad it exists. You can get nearly anything here - pancakes, smoothies, burgers, hoagies, gyros (which I highly recommend) - and watch them make it right in front of you. They’re pretty much always blasting music and in a silly mood. Doesn’t matter if it’s 4pm or 4am, the energy in this place is unmatched.”

“It was an nice medium sized event space. It was very beautifully decorated for my Sister's Bridal Shower. She enjoyed it from beginning to the end. There are two bathrooms in the back. They offered us the back too but I didn't get to see back there. But very nice people who own it here. The parking is limited and the place is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. It has a colored gated door entrance. The parking is on either side of the block. But they rushed to get us to end the event which was weird and unprofessional. But still a very nice place...”

“I come to the casino mostly at night. The two Baristas named Vick and Juveep are very professional. They handle the demands of the casino guests very well. Plus they serve Dunkin’s products to perfection.”

“A very pleasant semi self serve offering dining inside or out was just the ticket for weary travelers----- And I don't find their prices at all out of line, as an example they had an iceberg lettuce good sized salad at the self serve for five bucks; a long with many other premade temptations. The daughter enjoyed a generous sied freshly made pepperoni . And my "Soulful Sunday Dinner" was scrumptious! Half a chicken baked and bbqd' served w collard greens and black eyed beans and don't forget the cornbread. The staff were all very helpful and the dining room was a Disney Animators Palette!”

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. Adam & Jenny, thank you for my birthday dinner one to remember!💖”

Ordered a philly, but it was the huge one you find youtube reviews on. It had pastrami, mushroom, cheese, onions, and brisket on a warm toasted loaf. Sandwich was huge! Split it with my husband and we didnt even finish half of our half.

The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!”

We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.”

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!”

“I would love to give this restaurant 10+ stars. Never have I had such delicious food. Every mouthful of every dish was pure heaven! This was a birthday treat for my friend. We shared 6 small plates. I don't know which was THE best one. We started with drinks. He had the King Vidi and I the Shadowboxin. Both were expertly made. We then proceeded to enjoy Roasted oysters,Satsuma Mandarin salad, Tagliatelle, Foie Gras, Grilled Prawns and Grilled Broccoli. Every dish was spectacular and seasoned well. The accompanying sauces were smooth and velvety. We ended sharing a Chocolate Caramel Tart. My only issue was being seated next to the entrance where it was drafty whenever a new customer entered. I want to come back and try another selection of small plates. What a wonderful experience

They will explain what you’re eating and how to eat each course. I recommend this place for people who don’t mind spending on quality and who have a pallet sensitive enough to appreciate refined Japanese cuisine. I removed a star from their service because apparently they do something nice for people on their birthdays, and we were skipped, although it was noted in our reservation. Recommend pairing sake and whiskey to go with the Wagyu. You won’t regret it! Also, go check out the bathroom while you’re there! They really brought the best parts of Japan to Philly!”

“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. We’ll be back again and again—do yourself a favor and try them ASAP**”

“All of my Philly friends have been telling me that this is the best pho place they’ve been to in the USA. THIS IS SO WORTH THE HYPE!!! I now know why they always rave about this place. Pho is one of my favorite foods and I eat it in every city I go to. This specific broth blew my mind away, it was so tasty and beefy. The noodles were the perfect texture. The meats (I got the round steak and flank I think?) were actually so good. I don’t think I’ve ever been blown away by any beef before until now. Perfectly chewy and tender texture that tastes fresh. Also I got the small/regular size and the portions were very generous.

Sad I do not live near this place otherwise I’d go every day.”

“I've been buying from Isgros since 1975. Anyone who writes a bad review of this beloved bakery is likely to think the Grand Canyon is merely a hole in the ground. Don't believe any of their drivel. Maybe.....maybe!....they caught a bad batch of goods....but its highly unlikely. Everything sells out! How can stuff be stale? Impossible!! Everything they produce is simply sensational. I've never heard of any complaints from anybody who I know to be a regular customer. Pricing? Is that even worth mentioning? Does anyone gripe about the price of a Mercedes? The goods cost what they cost because they're high quality and delicious.”

The quesabirria with consommé was absolutely delicious—rich, juicy, and packed with authentic taste. And let me tell you, this place is a Gotham-sized slice of Philly flavor! The fluorescent lights and bustling energy felt like a scene straight outta Joker's Gotham night club. I went with the classic "Whiz Without"—that's Philly code for a cheesesteak with Cheez Whiz and no fried onions, for all you Bat-fans out there. One bite, and I was hooked. The thinly sliced steak, melty cheese, and soft roll created a symphony of flavors that would make even the Penguin surrender his lunch money. But Geno's ain't just about cheesesteaks, folks. Their cheese fries, ordered from the separate window where you get fries and sodas, are a gooey, delicious crime against healthy eating. Coke products available to drink. And Cherry peppers, relish, ketchup, and mustard are free and self-serve. While I devoured my feast, I couldn't help but notice the wall adorned with police patches from across the U.S. – a tribute to the thin blue line that reminded me of my own crusade for justice. Snapped a pic in front of it, a symbol of the shared fight for good that unites us all. Overall, Geno's Steaks lives up to its legendary reputation. It's a taste of Philly history, a tribute to the everyday heroes, and a cheesesteak experience that'll leave you saying, "Yo, that was good shtuff".”

Prices are reasonable for the city, and 4-6 is happy hour so I came at the right time for great prices and drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend! Plus this is walking distance to many nice hotels downtown. Only 5 min walk from the Kimpton Palomar! Would recommend calling ahead to ensure availability.”

My takeout only had 2 wings. I paid the same for both dishes. Also, no utensils. No syrup. Just little stuff. It is the only thing that I can complain about. We’ve been fans since their time at Mawn, so we had high expectations for this new spot, and it did not disappoint. As someone who is Cambodian and grew up in Cambodia for half my life, I can confidently say Chef Phila and his team really delivered.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but the spicy crab gravy noodles were our favorite, packed with bold flavor and real crab meat. A must-order! Every dish was cooked perfectly, and I loved how rich and flavorful everything was.

The space is a bit small, though. I’d love to see them expand so more people can experience Cambodian cuisine.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, it definitely lives up to the hype. Highly recommend if you want to try Cambodian food. This place truly hits the spot!”

Well here, they grind the flour by hand in the back and let the dough slowly ferment for 8 days or so, just in case you fancied taking an express elevator directly to cloud nine. Speaking of clouds, the interior of their crust floats with such an airy elegance that your tastebuds feel like Jasmine, having reached out to touch the rare Arabian raincloud in the midst of her magic carpet ride. But what about the toppings, you ask? I'm sure if you book enough time in advance, you could meet the very boar that is fated to grace the top of the pie you will shortly sink your teeth into. Don't worry, Boris (I'm calling him Boris) lived in the lap of luxury on an idyllic Bucks County farm perfectly suited for your rustic, instagrammable wedding that us filthy city folk can only attend in a fever dream generally reserved for a Hallmark Channel screenwriter.

Aaron is some kind of foolish wizard who has unlocked a spell that Gandolf himself could only steal from his apron enshrouded Nonna from the Italian section of the Shire. The pizza should not be this good. The restaurant should not feel like a homecoming when it's your first time there. It certainly shouldn't cost $14 bucks. But somehow, it does.

For those of you on a quixotic quest to find the perfect pizza, here is your windmill. Go full tilt.”

“Dined in for breakfast on a Friday morning with a large group. Even then, we were able to all seat together by combining nearly all the tables in the space for ourselves. If there were any more people eating in, we would have definitely had to split up, as the seating space is relatively small.

We were able to order and get our food quickly! The space has a nice fun vibe, and there's nice energetic music playing the background on an early morning. One of my pet peeves are places where the music doesn't match the mood of the weather, time of day, or type of restaurant. But they were on point here! 

All the food was fantastic. I ordered the nasi uduk--breakfast rice platter-- and a pistachio latte. One of the people in our group recently came back from a year in Indonesia and he attested to the legitimacy of the food we ate. I don't normally do well with spicy, but I ended up downing all the sambal on this plate-- delicious!”
