“I think I probably have had just about everything on your menu, and I loved everything. I also like that Stina is not pretentious.”
“My boyfriend and I had our first date here and it’s one of our favorite memories. We always bring a favorite bottle of wine for the BYOB option and enjoy the specials. Recently they had a delicious beet salad that we couldn’t get enough of. Also, the cheesesteak is low key better than anywhere else in the city (and it’s all vegan!). All of the servers we’ve had are stellar and super sweet. Enjoy ?

“Short Rib - Take out, grill yourself. Super easy and delicious.”

“My husband and I had our wedding cake made by this bakery and OMG. As you can tell by the photos we were in love. We knew right from the tasting that our chocolate cake with hazelnut buttercream and chocolate mousse would be a slam dunk and it sure was! The design was also gorgeous. Thank you so much! We can't wait for our 1 year tier!!!!!!”
“We came for breakfast and we had some young kids(under 4), so we sat in the outside/back area. Nothing fancy back there, but it was perfectly fine. One of the owners was nice enough to come back and put on the TV to distract the kids. The tactic didn't work ? but I appreciated the gesture. Everything looked good, especially the huge crepe my buddy got. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with bacon, which was very good. The lunch menu looked a bit more enticing to me, but it was probably too early though I didn't ask.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a door into the back area directly from the street.”
“An extensive variety of tapas restaurant with a good selection of wines and outdoor seating area. A focus on fresh, all crafted with the finest authentic ingredients. **Wine Selection**: A curated list of wines which achieve recognition as the "Best Organic Wine List" in North America in 2023. **Ambiance**: A cozy, inviting outdoor patio with comfortable seating, perhaps with Spanish decor and ambient lighting to create a relaxing atmosphere. **Service**: Knowledgeable staff who can provide recommendations on food and wine pairings, and who offer friendly, attentive service.”
“The food was excellent, the service was excellent and Michael’s recommendation was perfect!”
“4.6 stars was our total experience.
5 stars- Attentive service which came with an automatic 20% gratuity, which I didn’t mind because that’s what I would have given our servers anyway, so fortunately service was good.
Atmosphere is 4.6, it was a really cool place, small so they maximized their space. I believe it was probably a house turned into a restaurant…that’s what it seemed like.
Menu/Food was a 4.5 for me. We were excited & came there thinking we were going to be wowed by their burger menu …but my kids were confused because there was no burger on the menu. There was however a cheese burger served in a hoagie style. It was a bit odd, average in taste. The fries were a bit on the burn side; however, I read other reviews and that seems to be the chef’s preference …crispy.
The sausage sandwich was delicious and the siracha wings were also great! We also loved the bread that came with honey butter spread. I ordered wine by the glass and the portion was quite small, below the normal serving but it was a great montepulciano which I recommend. Overall, we intentionally chose Bad Brother because we thought they were known for their burgers…and there were no burgers.”

“Very nice and sophisticated lounge bar. There is no food served (at least there were none available while we were there). It’s more of a spot to go sip a nice cocktail and have great conversations. Me and my husband had date night last night and decided to check this spot out. We loved it. Loved that the vibe of place gave you a feel to actually tap into the person you’re with and talk. Barely anyone were on their phones there and I loved that too. This place is located in a pretty well lit back alleyway. Took awhile for us to find it but when we did we were very happy. Great place to pregame if you have a night full to do or just to come unwind. Will definitely be back.”

“My favorite place for breakfast AND lunch! Taco Heart has consistently delicious breakfast tacos and the best queso in town. This summer on my bestie’s wedding day we called them about 30 minutes before close and ordered A LOT of chorizo tacos for the bride and they happily obliged and added special treats - a kindness and a memory i carry with me!
So happy to have found this little gem ?”
“Wonderful time at Sakana this weekend! Their sushi is unparalleled in Philly and the service is impeccable.”
“This is my new favorite spot! The food is incredible and the drink menu is on point!”

You can definitely tell they put love into their food and pride themselves on great presentation. BYOB with great mixers and smoothies. The service was very attentive and friendly. “After discovering the restaurant in March, I had to return for my birthday in August. So my husband and I made the 3-hour drive to Philly just so I could eat at Monster Vegan twice in one day. The food was consistently delicious. I could eat the eggrolls and tacos every day. The service was wonderfully inviting. The vibe is great during the day but the evening totally elevates it. I’m also thankful for their mocktail menu is just as creative as the rest of their drink menu and not just a spirit-free mojito. It’s my favorite restaurant and will gladly make the trek to Philly again just to visit Monster Vegan.”

“Ate there yesterday and friendly Atmosphere, very friendly and excellent food”
“Had a lovely visit, and an incredible dinner with friends Saturday night at Laurel Restaurant on E Passyunk. We sampled a tasting menu with wine pairings and I can't say enough good things about our experience. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was over the moon! Our main server Rebecca was a treasure and made sure we never wanted for anything. We each had a different favorite dish, which was wild in that they provided us different dishes that really appealed to our individual palates. Please visit if you're in the neighborhood.
Parking: Easy parking in lot just across the street.”
“Lovely meal and wonderful, attentive service.
Had dinner with my wife and two-year old goddaughter. Both of our dishes were delicious and they have several choices for small children. The lighting and music created a calm pleasant ambiance. Fathi, kept our goddaughter smiling all evening. I'm very happy that we came here.”

“We came across this place while we were in Philly last month,July. We were looking for a place to dine. It was our first time with Mediterranean cuisine. Positive ambience as soon as we walk in, our server ‘s name ELIF ( hope i remember it right)guided as through with menu selection and showed the best costumer service . I appreciated the complimentary bread and the hummus while waiting for the entree.I love the taste of it as freshly baked from the oven. Food portions are just right. The price is also decent. We concluded with a Turkey tea…it amazingly taste good. Will definitely visit this place again….to Elif, thank you very much.”

“Great food, hospitality and portions. The tables were filled and they were able to still get us a table outside. The plov is the best and great portions. Thank you for your honest service. ”
“Overall good experience considering how busy the restaurant was. My only issue was in how long it took to be seated with a reservation. I know they were busy but the table where they sat us was ready at our reservation time ( I peeked and saw the table around the corner) but they still sat us 15 minutes past our reservation time. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly but we had to ask for bread and I never got a water refill. Food quality and taste was to Maggiano's standards. We were surprised at the small portions for the crab entrees. Would we go again? Yes.”
“I loved the food!I ordered some dumplings, some deep fried wings with fried rice and a general tso chicken with tostones. Everything was good and on point. We left work late and the man took our order, prepared everything quickly and delicious. The only thing that would improve a little would be the cleanliness of the front of the business, but we already know what most of these restaurants are like. This one looks much better than average.100% recommended.”
“Fantastic ribs and lamb chops! The kofta was extremely delicious and tasty. The kebab was juicy was made perfectly. Sushi was also excellent! Lovely spot to get food.”
“This salad is amazing. Best vending machine ever? Supremely flavorful and healthy!
Only complaint is the labels were some turned so I couldn’t read what was what and made a wrong guess but still love the salad!! There is a pop up menu showing what is in everything. Best salad I’ve had in awhile”
“fried dumplings best in Frankford and the friendliest. Real talk.”
“Tried the chips and guacamole while waiting for a friend who is getting a surgical procedure done. Everything was super fresh and delicious. I’m picky about guacamole but this was so good! I also got the white cheddar cheese cubes, they were also very good. The salads all look amazing, I wish I had tried one of those as well. I wish more places had one of these vending machines!”
“The best fried chicken in Allentown is now krispy krunchy .. and great price, the service is on point always and Sata is fast to give the order . You must try it asap”
“Their prices is very reasonable for a case of cupcakes, and even cakes that you would see in a regular supermarket are reasonable. And the taste is amazing. Definitely recommend this place.”
“A very pleasant semi self serve offering dining inside or out was just the ticket for weary travelers----- And I don't find their prices at all out of line, as an example they had an iceberg lettuce good sized salad at the self serve for five bucks; a long with many other premade temptations. The daughter enjoyed a generous sied freshly made pepperoni . And my "Soulful Sunday Dinner" was scrumptious! Half a chicken baked and bbqd' served w collard greens and black eyed beans and don't forget the cornbread. The staff were all very helpful and the dining room was a Disney Animators Palette!”
“Prices are very reasonable. Staff is very friendly. I’m deaf and both windows were good at getting me my order and food. I’ll be back!”
“This came as a recommendation from a gentleman who worked at a car museum. I love cheesesteaks and this place was great. You get a great amount of fries almost a sharing portion. No inside seating. There was few picnic tables. Plenty of meat and cheese given. The fried hot peppers have a nice bite to them. The sandwiches have lots of options and you don't have to just have cheesesteak.
Parking: Not a lot of parking. We must have hit it at a good time.”

“We tried several places for cheesesteaks during our 5 day tay in Philly, and we’ve concluded that Shay’s wins by a large margin.
Their meat is so juicy and flavorful. Probably largely because their meat is fresh, never frozen, as the owner proudly introduces. You can peak inside their meat prep counter from the order counter. Their bun is also warm, soft, and a bit crispy on the outside. Their cheesesteaks are on a pricier side compared to other places (mostly over $20), but it’s good quality and worth every penny.
Also, the store owner is very friendly and passionate about his food. We loved his energy and hospitality.
I gave the atmosphere aspect a 4/5 because the shop doesn’t have very comfortable/nice seating. Don’t get me wrong - the shop is pretty new and very clean so are tables and chairs. It’s just that the shop gets very busy (because they’re good!) and some tables are in a narrow spot with a lot of people gathering and walking by you. They don’t have tables outside either. Slow and relaxing eating experience is something are to get here. I thought it was worth mentioning, especially when their sandwiches are easily over $20 each. After tax & tip, you would end up paying $50 or more for two, which is not cheap. I would expect a better eating environment for that money.”
Takeout Restaurants
“The food was excellent, the service was excellent and Michael’s recommendation was perfect!”
“Gilda is the best breakfast/lunch place in the city 100%. I have not had a pastry from there yet that has been one of the best I’ve ever eaten, the pasteis are seriously the best baked good I’ve ever had #1. The The sausage sandwich and the BEC are for sure unbelievably good, I don’t even like sausage but I willingly order it here. They have so many other menu items I haven’t even ordered yet that look incredible. Coffee is always delicious as well, plus the staff is super cool, very nice, and easy to talk too. This is the best breakfast/lunch/coffee place in the city of Philly by far IMO”
“Food so good I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Delicious drinks. Definitely coming back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“HEADS-UP: This is a CASH ONLY PLACE
All of us tried different options ranging from Chicken Pho to Tripe to Beef to Fat Brisket and Meatballs.
This is some of THE BEST PHO on the east coast (not kidding). The Broth is SO flavorful. The noodles are perfectly done.
Pho is served with Cut slices of Lime, Bean Sprouts, Cilantro and Jalapeno
Like any other Pho restaurant, You can add condiments on the table i.e. SriRacha, Fish Sauce and more…
The place is nice and clean and very busy. The ambience is plain but comfortable..
The staff was VERY kind and nice, made sure our order was correct and served everything with a smile.
After out meal they checked in and made sure we were leaving happy and satisfied with the food..
Very nice experience indeed..
Vegetarian options: There are NO vegetarian options for a vegetarian. The ONLY thing on the menu You can eat as a vegetarian is Plain Noodles with Beef Broth”

“Get the sorbetto! Great food, great service.”
“We plan trips to Philadelphia just to visit this amazing bar. We can’t oversell this…absolutely the best cocktails we have ever had. There are strict house rules for a reason and we appreciate that. Always a wonderful evening at Hop Sings. Leave your phones at home and enjoy the atmosphere and fine crafted drinks.”
“I had a great brunch. Loved the atmosphere. Food was excellent. I’ll definitely be back”
“Someone had recently told us that this was their favorite restaurant in Philadelphia, so we were both excited yet skeptical to try. It has to have a solid following if it's been around (as we learned) for 10 years. In the end, worth the try.
Walking in, the place is quaint but packed. Your table will be fairly close to other tables, which was fine. The difficulty becomes seeing the menu. There are two chalkboard menus available to view and after hearing the waitress describe every single item, this option really doesn't do the offerings justice. I wish there were a paper menu describing things (for the sake of not having not having to remember the details verbally) or even an up-to-date online menu (the menu on their website says last update 1/2/2022). We were sat in the very corner so had no visualization of the chalkboard at all and resorted to pics.
The deal is cool, $60 for 3 courses. BYOB (we committed the cardinal sin and forgot this= no wine).
For apps: we went with the "tomato, beef, Swiss" and "tuna, sesame, peach". The former was surprising. Fried balls of Swiss cheese with brisket pieces strewn about. Actually quite enjoyed the flavoring of this and there was a good amount of brisket for an appetizer sliced into the mixture. The latter was never going to be my favorite as I don't love tuna, but I'll say it was a large portion of it and the peaches were a lovely addition. The thing to enjoy about the menu here is that they're locally sourced and base the menu on what's available, so there is a rotating theme of vegetables/flavorings that you wouldn't expect (like peaches with tuna). We were going to go with simple with bread & butter, but this was out so we opted instead for something I don't know that we've ever turned down-the housemade burrata. This was my favorite of the apps. The toast was perfectly toasted and the cheese itself had a nice tzatziki flavoring I wasn't expecting.
For mains: "dourade squid shishito" ( and "steak, English pea, crab". The former we probably only got because we love squid and were pumped about this. However, I was surprised that we actually preferred the main fish, a flaky white fish. This was cooked quite nicely and the flavoring was delightful, especially the skin. I didn't feel like the squid in the end really added anything, actually. And the fingerling potatoes did their best to soak the sauce but maybe met their match in how much sauce there was. The steak was a $6 surcharge. It was cut nicely and at first I felt like the seasoning was nice, but quickly realized it was a very salt-forward steak and therefore not my favorite. Shockingly, our favorite part of the night was the English pea fritter with crab atop that seemed like an afterthought to us when ordering the steak. Lightly fried pea latke-like fritter with a healthy portion of mixed crab- this could have been the main dish and I wouldn't have noticed.
We aren't super dessert people, but we went with the corn raspberry (a strange ice cream sandwich situation that was far too sweet but pleasant to look at) and the Gâteau Basque (we weren't totally sure what this was but after trying it and Google imaging it, it seems like this was done fairly nicely).
The service was pleasant-again quite an intimate place. Overall, one thing I felt was a common theme was that the plating of the dishes was too saucy. Nothing that came out wow-ed us on presentation alone. When trying the dishes, we liked many of the sauces but, inevitably, things felt a bit drowned out by the sauces and, ultimately, messy on the plate.
In the end, we would consider trying as their menu rotates again (albeit not forgetting the wine next time!) to see how they utilize a variety of interesting ingredients to create their menu but also may... not.”
“Awesome food and staff always fresh delicious ingredients!”
“We loved our dinners - there were 4 of us. Sitting outside in the “chalet” was great and very private. Our server was fun, helpful and charming- made the dining experience even better. The food was delicious.”

“This place Is an absolute gem. Cory is an amazingly kind and gracious host. He pours his heart and soul into the food and you can taste it. Come support this place and also have some amazing food. Everything is good.”
“For this ice cream palor to be busy ALL THE TIME. It is worth the wait. I always get the banana split in the cup which I REALLY LOVE. I have not tired any other flavors yet but I will eventually ONE DAY ?”
“I attended the Vinum Wines Slovenian Tasting & Meet the Winemaker event at Jet on a Tuesday evening. It was a fantastic experience! My favorite was the Grasavina Orange Blend.
Jet's GM Emily was so accommodating when I called in to ask about vegetarian options for the food pairing. The event was held out in their garden.
I can't wait to come back to Jet, whether it's for a tasting event or a visit to their bar.
Bonus point- it's a women owned business!”
“@halal_mexican is a hidden gem in Philadelphia that has some of the best HALAL Mexican cuisine that I’ve ever tasted. I love that I was able to find a Mexican halal spot. Pictured: -Flautas -Shrimp Chimichanga -Mini Corn on the Cob -Chicken Tacos -Steak Burrito Bowl My favorite item from there has to be the flautas. It’s a deep fried rolled chicken tacos served with pico de gallo and sour cream. Highly recommend this restaurant to all those seeking a tasty mexican restaurant with good service and halal food! Thank you @halal_mexican for being so hospitable and accommodating. I’ll be coming back here next visit”
“Great food & you can customize your heat level. I like getting the combo Gyro with “something between hot and not hot” as my spicy level lol the guy is always really accommodating && the sauces the make have complexity and dimension to their flavor. Highly recommend”
“The food is very delicious and quite affordable, and the service is excellent.
Kid-friendliness: The place is quite quiet, alcohol is not consumed in the establishment so you will not meet unpleasant people or anything like that.
Wheelchair accessibility: The place is prepared for people who are in wheelchairs.”
“So darn good! Get three of these for lunch and it’s perfect. Wish they would bring back the starter flavors. But everything is delicious. Kids will also love it!”
“We recently dined here as a large group, and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing, the food was phenomenal, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. Plus, they’re very child-friendly, making it a great spot for families.”
“Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. Plenty of space and it was nice and clean. My kids loved breakfast with the Easter bunny. He was very friendly. Food was decent enough.
Kid-friendliness: Had kid meal options and dining area away from bar
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility parking, entrance and seating”
“Best food ever especially el arroz con leche and atol de Elote ❤️ recommend to eat here…..”
“Food so good I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Delicious drinks. Definitely coming back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Amazing food!! Been here multiple times. Never disappoints.”

Fine Dining
“Best Omakase in town! Sushi is always fresh and AMAZING! Been here several times. Highly recommend if you like sushi! If there’s certain sushi you don’t eat you can always let the chef know and he’ll substitute it with something else for you. BYOB!”
“Waitress was very knowledgeable about the cuisine. Other staff were friendly and courteous. Food was excellent, tastes wonderful and plated beautifully. The interior might remind you of an old time elegant railroad car with curved ceiling, crystal chandeliers, etc. great place for special occasions.”
“An amazing experience. My sister booked the private room with the wine pairing for our party. The staff was amazing. Chefs Chris and Ryan do an amazing job and our bartender, Aden, was also fantastic. Usually these fancy tasting menus can be pretentious and not that good but the food was delicious and the staff was warm, welcoming, passionate about what they do and everything but pretentious. A wonderful evening, would love to go back.”
“I am still glowing in the warmth of the chic and cozy atmosphere, incredible service, and unbelievably delicious meal I had this evening. This was my first visit to Miss Rachel’s Pantry, and it was outstanding from start (delectable biscuits) to finish (pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream). While I regularly enjoy vegetarian cuisine, I’m an omnivore and haven’t had much experience with vegan food. Chef Rachel and team’s vegan cuisine was beyond my wildest imagination — a visual and culinary work of art. So delicious- I will definitely be back again soon and regularly! Don’t hesitate! Book that reservation and let your taste buds dance with delight!”
“Wonderful experience. The entire team made us feel welcome and treated us like family. The food was amazing. Their preparation of several dishes I was quite familiar with made them taste better than I’ve had before, like new dishes. The alternating hot and cold dishes really enhanced the experience. Can’t say enough good things about it.”
“Unique food, cozy, candlelit atmosphere. Our group enjoyed it tremendously. Highly recommend.”
“We sat outside, food and beverage wasn’t especially quick, but it was perfect for a chill evening with friends. The space is made for people who are trying to enjoy the company they’re dining with. Our server Grace was fabulous, she understood us on every level we needed. The food is very well thought out, and overall we had an exceptional time.
Drinks and food were both very balanced. I am excited for my return. Thank you, Alice for a wonderful evening.”
“My first French cuisine experience did not disappoint. My son and I enjoyed a lovely meal and cocktails orchestrated by the best staff - Chef Clay, Beau (our server), and Alex(Bartender). From the first course I knew this was going to be one of, if not the best, dining experiences thus far in my lifetime. I highly recommend that everyone take the time to enjoy this fine dining establishment. You will not be disappointed.”
“We stumbled upon Irwin's Rooftop by accident while looking for a spot to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be an incredible find. The ambience was perfect, with a trendy yet relaxed vibe that made our evening special.
The drinks and shots were top tier, impressing everyone in our group, especially the birthday girl. The combination of excellent service, stunning rooftop views, and a vibrant atmosphere made our visit memorable.
Irwin's Rooftop definitely deserves another visit, and we can't wait to return for more great times and fantastic drinks.”
“So the food is art and it's clear everything about this place is an expression of the chef. The music is super different from what I'm expecting or even really want but it's so distinctive and so clearly part of the chefs process that it ends up adding to the experience. The food is really the draw here though. So many of the dishes were "best of breed" but yet the entire experience was so down to earth. Loved it.”
“My friends and I had an amazing experience at Fabrika! We went for my birthday after hearing great things. The show and performers were spectacular. Very interactive and entertaining. The food and drinks were also delicious, and our server was so accommodating. And at the end, they open the dance floor, which is so fun! 10/10.”
“It took me a while to find my go to tacos here. I tried a few of their rotating ones. However, the last time I visited, I tried the steak fajita tacos and now I'm obsessed. Their happy hour is great! $5 margs? You can't beat that. I also love their bbq wings and their guac.”
“Wonderful time at Sakana this weekend! Their sushi is unparalleled in Philly and the service is impeccable.”

“This place is a must! Great vibes, divey setting, and don't forget to order the city wide special (PBR & shot of Jack Daniels) for $5!!We will definitely be back to this watering hole!”
“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!”
“I was highly recommended this place by a friend and I finally got around to visiting it yesterday! Truly an awesome little spot. Very cool and different from any other coffee place I’ve been to in Philly! Inside is a little corner area to shop for artisan items. But most importantly they have delicious, unique, and cheap coffee drinks. Will be coming back asap!!”
“Love The Kettle Black! Amazing vegan croissants, bagels & other treats! Their cold brew is always on point! Super friendly and talented folks!”
