The beer is fantastic, and you can really tell everyone who works there is genuinely passionate about what they do..it shows in every pour. Definitely one of those places you almost want to keep a secret… but it’s too good not to share.“

“Stopped by Yards because they had a parking lot. That was honestly our selling point. I'm glad we did.

Kelly was our server and she was absolutely amazing. She walked us through the menus, letting us know what was her favorites and what was the favorites of the regulars.

We had the wing phlight and the eggrolls. They were honestly better than I expected. The Sriracha ketchup was divine. The portions were huge. I enjoyed the bowl of chili and the cornbread.

I have no complaints and would definitely come back.“

Barrel Splitters Brewing Brewery • $
1890 Woodhaven Rd, Philadelphia

“Stopped by Barrel Splitters for the first time today and had a very nice experience. The inside is spacious and clean and has a variety of games like darts and corn hole. They have a diverse draft list with about 16 beers and also offer a handful of cocktails. They also have flights, which I love, so you can try a handful of beers if you can’t decide. I ultimately went with their cherry sour which was well-balanced—fruity without being overly tart. They offer pretzels and other snacks and have a food truck in the parking lot where you can order heavier food. Overall nice environment with a great variety of quality beer.“

Source Urban Brewery Brewery • $$
1101 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia

“Source Urban Brewery, Philadelphia, PA. I hate how much I enjoyed my visit to Source Urban Brewery. Why I wasn’t looking forward to this visit is a story for another time. The young women working this evening were awesomeness. I order the pretzel. It came with beer cheese. I told the young woman how much I loved beer cheese. She said it came with mustard and beer cheese but she could give me 2 beer cheeses. I said, ‘two beer cheese please.’ I have 3 beers each was better than the last. They all had a ton of flavor. They all tasted exactly as they were described. I think they are trying to be a higher end brewery. But, they have a big bar and you never what kind of crowd the Fillmore is going to bring in. Another young woman staffer told me she liked my shirt. If you follow me you know she won the shirt off my back—bonus video; 1. Win the shirt off my back shirt presentation. 2. Bathroom video.“

Mainstay Independent Brewing Company Brewery • $$
901 N Delaware Ave, Philadelphia

“If you’re heading to Northern Liberties with kids in tow (and still want a beer), Craft Hall/Mainstay Independent is a solid choice for lunch.

Craft Hall is a massive industrial space that houses Mainstay Independent Brewing Company and feels more like a sports bar than a traditional brewery. Parking in the small front lot is tight but there’s also street parking and a couple of garages just a few blocks away if you’re willing to loop once or twice.

Inside, the vibe is unapologetically industrial: exposed steel, high ceilings, big open room. It’s not warm and cozy or where you go for a quiet pint.

Our visit was a bit chaotic. There’s a large indoor playground (pirate ship) packed with dozens of kids running, climbing, and burning off energy while parents reclaim a sliver of sanity. It’s extremely kid-friendly, and that clearly drives the lunch crowd.

Adults get their own zone at the bar, which helps balance things out. The tables are spacious, the projectors and TVs are plentiful, and the whole setup is perfect for watching a game, hosting a happy hour, or gathering a big group.

Beer-wise, we found the lineup solid but mostly average, with the standout being the Winter Bock. The traditional German-style lager was very malt-forward, roasty and smooth.

Craft Hall isn’t an intimate date-night brewery. It’s loud, lively, and built for volume. But if you’re looking for a kid-friendly brewery experience in Northern Liberties where adults can still grab a solid pint? This place absolutely fills that niche.“

Dock Street Brewery South Brewery • $$
2118 Washington Ave, Philadelphia

“I had a chronic urticaria last year, ever since then i have be visiting the clinic and taking different kinds of medicine but yet no improvement. Few months ago it got worse, the inching becomes unbearable, sometimes it spread all over my body and it almost affected my lungs. One faithful day, Someone saw me when I was at the supermarket here in ATL when I was shopping for some groceries, she walked up to me, we had a nice chat where she told me her experience when she had the same problem, and she was able to get rid of it permanently with herbs from dr festy, I requested for the Dr's contact and i ordered the medicine because at that point I was willing to try anything just to get rid my chronic urticaria. It affected my social life negatively, I hardly associate with people and I became depressed. So after using the herbs I was completely cured and my life is back to normal. I'll keep creating awareness about dr festy's herbal medicine by sharing my story because I know how it feels battling with chronic urticaria. Are you struggling with herpes, autism, HIV, infertility, HPV, and chronic health conditions, including diabetes, certain stages of cancer, arthritis, and anxiety disorders contact Dr Festy for proper consultations. Our Town Taproom Bar • $
1519 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia

“Lovely little spot. It appears to be relatively new. Bright, open and clean. I’d call the decor Minimalistic. The irony of Our Town is that they are from Lancaster. It was quizzo night so they were crowded. The woman next to me at the bar ordered a sour beer. She kicked the keg. No sour beer from Jimmy. We had a nice chat. I think she just wanted to gloat that she got the last sour. I got a $6 citywide. I think I won. Nice little spot.“
