“Chestnut Hill Brewing offers a cozy taproom that works especially well for groups of four. The brewery is attached to the Chestnut Hill Hotel and serves an upscale gastropub-style menu. The Bang Bang Broccoli hit the spot and was something a little different from what we normally order. Hopzs Brown Ale, was our favorite beer in the flight. Overall this is a great stop for good food and beer while staying at the inn or passing through into Philly.“

“We have found our new favorite spot! Sat outside in CHBC’s fantastic beer garden on a beautiful Saturday early evening. The Biergarten was spacious and had a great vibe and very friendly servers. Don’t forget to bring your canine best friend to this dog friendly spot. While we didn't bring a dog of our own, we loved interacting with everyone else's four-legged friends.

The food, service, and drink selection are all impressive and on point. As someone who only consumes plant-based meals, I was thrilled to find so many amazing vegan options on the menu. The vegan cheesesteak, falafel burger, and chickpea tinga nachos are all delicious and highly recommended, but they also have equally delicious options for carnivores that looked really good. We cannot wait to come back and try the pizza next time.

For drinks, I ordered non-alcoholic beer, but as a beer enthusiast at a brewery, I couldn't help but notice the impressive body, clarity, and color of the house beers being served around us. They have a great variety of appealing styles that will easily please most palates. Highly recommend this place!“

“We chose Spasso because my sister remembered it from years ago. We had a relatively early dinner at Spasso the evening of Philly's first Friday of the season. We had a great seat by the street facing windows. Our server was friendly and provided great service. We all enjoyed our meals, generous portions, so we did have some to take home. Overall, a great experience, we would return. Saw several people same evening who all said they hadn't been there in years. After our description of dinner, they said they would visit soon. Yum!“

“A very cool one stop shop in the neighborhood. We dropped in for a couple of deli breakfast sandwiches and we’re not disappointed. We both created our own sandwiches inspired by some of their preselected options while adding our own touch. The flavors were great, the bagels were good quality, and we saved a part of one to bring with us just so we can have it again. Great selection of snacks and drinks. Looks like they have a cafe but we did not check that out. It smelt very good though! Stop in if you are in the area!

Note you have to take your ticket from the machine you order on to the cashier our front, then take it with you back to the deli when they call your number. The cashier will give you a stamp to show you paid.“

Finally stopped in for lunch and got a hot beef & cheese (sharp provolone). While I love the modern day sandwich shops with crazy creative combinations, nothing beats a high quality yet simple sandwich like this. Fresh meat, roll, everything about it hit the spot. Added a bag of chips for $1 (sandwich was $15). My friend got the turkey special and loved it as well.

The frozen "Henny" (lmmfao) colda--.. that's not Henny.. that's whiskey, trust me, I have my certification. Long story. But TuuuuMmmmm... If you do not speak Spanish or know how to read Spanish that is not a problem here their menu is biligual, and so are the staff. This place is were I go to get a home style meal from the islands. My favorite is their sweet plantain, stewed chicken, arroz con gandules, and salad(***put oil and vinegar on it not salad dressing it cuts the fat from the food you're eating to refresh you pallet). “It was my first time here, coming in after a walk through Fishtown/Port Richmond. The place is pretty chill, and while the crowd is not “diverse,” it's fine. I noticed that the staff was pretty quick with getting the food and drinks out. The hosts are laid back and had a “pop-up skee-ball tournament” on a Wednesday night. This place reminded me of a college town bar, and I would try it again. I had a mule and it was refreshing and pretty good.“
