They recently remodeled, and it’s so spacious and inviting. The staff are so friendly, and the food and drinks never miss. And weekly quizzo is a blast too!“

“What a charming little restaurant! I sat at the bar on a work trip for an early dinner, which they actually have a menu for! Prices are reasonable for the city, and 4-6 is happy hour so I came at the right time for great prices and drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend! Plus this is walking distance to many nice hotels downtown. Only 5 min walk from the Kimpton Palomar! Would recommend calling ahead to ensure availability.“

“We went here for lunch. We loved it. I took my father here. It was a great memory for him. When he was a teenager working with his father, they often had lunch here(different name then). Excellent friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, two dining areas plus bar. I had the spinach salad-the dressing was amazing, a refreshing summer flavor. My dad said his burger was the best ever. I recommend a stop at Bonk’s. PS lunch on a weekday is quiet.“

“I really liked it here! Unpretentious and welcoming. Some of the best food I’ve ever had at a bar. The fish and chips were an especially nice surprise. In addition to the food menu, they offer different specials on the blackboard. Have a good selection on draft, plus canned beers and a unique cocktail list. Definitely worth a visit if you’re seeing a show at Union Transfer or PhilaMoca.“

The vodka parm sandwich and the french dip were delicious and the sesame rolls tasted so fresh. Would recommend to anyone in the area!“

“We stumbled into this wonderful place cold, hungry and exhausted. The wonderful lady at the door, who turns out to be the owner, welcomed us with open arms and began to search for a table. We had to wait a few minutes so she got us 2 stools to sit on while we ordered our beer. Minutes later our table was ready! We ordered the Guinness Casserole and left nothing on that plate! She came over to check on us and saw that we had no soda bread and got us a plate full. We boxed a few pieces to take back with us to enjoy at breakfast. As we left we thanked her and I told her that everything was FANTASTIC and showed her the bread we were going to take home! She then took the box and filled it for us so we had enough for long drive home! I will come back anytime I'm in Philly. I have told all my friends and family to come here. It is a wonderful place. Live Irish music and extraordinary service. Thank you for your warm hospitality and delicious food and cold beer!“
