Prices are reasonable for the city, and 4-6 is happy hour so I came at the right time for great prices and drinks and appetizers. Would definitely recommend! Plus this is walking distance to many nice hotels downtown. Only 5 min walk from the Kimpton Palomar! Would recommend calling ahead to ensure availability.“

Omg. Insane. The bread. The steak. The cheese. I only took like 4 bites but I think it was my favorite steak n cheese ever. Also just great atmosphere. The dude who runs the bar is on point. Sometimes when I’m supposed to be working from home on Monday afternoons I come here with my laptop and my mouse jiggler I bought on Amazon so my boss thinks I’m working but I’m actually just chatting it up with the bartender and eating 1/2 priced burgers.“

“We stumbled into this wonderful place cold, hungry and exhausted. The wonderful lady at the door, who turns out to be the owner, welcomed us with open arms and began to search for a table. We had to wait a few minutes so she got us 2 stools to sit on while we ordered our beer. Minutes later our table was ready! We ordered the Guinness Casserole and left nothing on that plate! She came over to check on us and saw that we had no soda bread and got us a plate full. We boxed a few pieces to take back with us to enjoy at breakfast. As we left we thanked her and I told her that everything was FANTASTIC and showed her the bread we were going to take home! She then took the box and filled it for us so we had enough for long drive home! I will come back anytime I'm in Philly. I have told all my friends and family to come here. It is a wonderful place. “Stopped here this past weekend and got some of the most delicious sandwiches! Started with the Tuna Tartare which was phenomenal and each had a sandwich for dinner. The vodka parm sandwich and the french dip were delicious and the sesame rolls tasted so fresh. Would recommend to anyone in the area!“

The burger came with just fries and it had a very fresh seasoning: fresh heated up shallots on fries and sage seasoning. The combination you can describe in high end food places and this is just a bar! The bar is a late period design art nouveau with a pretty surprising design - whoever created it they imagined this bar in art noveau from the perspective to be seated in the middle (where they actually have a check machine now).
