“The only Thai place I will order from in the entire Philadelphia vicinity. The best staff. The best food. The best experience. I will forever give JJ Thai my business and always recommend them to friends & family. By the way, if your server is Air, be prepared because she is the absolute best server I have came across in any restaurant. I worked in the service industry myself, and to come across someone like Air is truly a blessing. She is so friendly, goes above and beyond, and always ensures the best customer service. Thank you JJ Thai and thank you Air for continuous unforgettable experiences.“
“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“
“I order takeout from here occasionally, but it's been a while since I've dined there. So I went with some people for lunch one day since we were in the area after a networking event. It wasn't crowded, but felt full with a good number of people having lunch/brunch.The staff were all pretty friendly. We were seated right after walking in and the service was a good pace throughout the entire dining experience. We all ordered something different but seemed to enjoy what we got. One person ordered one of the sandwich specials, another ordered the Mel's Chicken Sandwich and I got the Sante Fe Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries. It was very tasty, filling and served at the right temperature. I also had their Blueberry Lemonade which was really good.As always, a reliable place for a good meal. I recommend coming for brunch or course, but lunch is a good option too.“
“Great service, friendly people, and the food is amazing!! Super tasty and yummy! Prices aren’t bad at all! They FEED you that’s for sure! Go check it out if you haven’t tried it yet!! You won’t be disappointed. Definitely recommend!“
“A cute pet-friendly cafe with a persimmon theme in Fishtown. It might be a popular spot in the neighborhood as it was busy on a Sunday morningSide note: My friend recommended me Drift Magazine for city coffee guide and I was excited to flip the physical copies there. We ordered latte and cappuccino. Very smooth coffee with a nutty espresso base. Well-frothed milk gave a creamy texture. Loved the latte art on top. The porcelain mugs and coasters they used were cute. Their pastries looked attractive to serve with coffee too.“
“We went on NYE and did their NYE special. I think it was worth it. Good portions, tasty food, and lots of options/variety. I definitely enjoyed the steak. My friend enjoyed the fish. We would definitely go back again and recommend. The customer service was great. It was a bit tight size wise a table for two was a bit tight but like i said it was fine. We thoroughly had a good experience. It’s byob so that’s a huge plus!“
“Had a truly delightful meal here! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The hummus was spectacular. The Brussel sprouts were SO crispy, some of the best I've ever had. I really enjoyed the chicken shish I got for my entrée. My mom got the falafel and said it was delicious.Highly recommend making a reservation. This place gets busy, quickly. Several folks had to be turned away because they didn't have one. And this was on a Thursday night.“
“Had not eaten the food, so I can't comment. But having worked as a fine dining bartender in Los Angeles, I was blown away by their cocktails. Their menu made the mixology need in me geek out. My friend and I went there for a quick drink between movies on Christmas day. And we were very pleased with the experience.“
“Attic is my new favorite Philly brewery! For starters, their beer menu was AWESOME! Attic offers a variety of different brews, and there's something for everyone. We tried almost every one on the menu, and there wasn't a single one that wasn't fantastic. I was a big fan of the sage gose: earthy, not too sour, incredibly thirst quenching. I also loved the Bloodhound Brown Ale (GABF Silver Medal winner!) While there were not cats wandering around, most of their beers are cat themed including Cat Boss IPA and Electric Whiskers. They have great merch, including posters, shirts, and hats -- all catering to my cat-loving heart. They have a plethora of indoor seating including tables, comfy couches and chairs, and barstools. Cat friendly? I'm a fan. There was a food truck and a cool BBQ place next door....but otherwise it's BYOF. Attic also has PARKING! All in all, I loved Attic. The rustic philly-chic homey-ness of the bar, the friendly staff, the cat-themed beers, and the menu offerings. I can't wait to come back!“
“Superb service and phenomenal food! Fun atmosphere for a quick bite, after work wind down, date night, or time with friends. Excited for the live music and other events.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options that will satisfy all cravings.Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options! Chef is crazy cool and accommodating.“
“Went here for a birthday dinner from out of town and WOW. What a meal. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service superb. Simon was very attentive without being too intrusive. We had the classic hummus, gem salad (favorite dish for us), beef stew and fried dorade. Would highly recommend!“
“I had the early gray milk tea with pearl boba and milk foam. It was amazing and they even put it in my reusable 16oz coffee cup!The place is so clean and the gentleman behind the counter was super helpful. I will for sure be back to try other flavors.“
“Awesome experience. Very clean, open and overall fantastic. The dogs had plenty of room to roam and were pleasant. Both the waitstaff and management were fantastic and the food is amazing. Best brussels sprouts I have ever had, and that should tell you about the rest of the menu. Highly recommend!“
“Bonkers.Pastries (Leak & Feta Croissant, Bananas Foster Bun) were a perfect balance of crazy crisp and chewy. Savory or sweet, they get it right.Fagioli was delicious and a perfect partner to the sandwiches. As a hybrid (veg/meat) couple, appreciated the make your own Egg Sandwich. Minor structural issues as one reviewer mentioned, but totally worth the engineering!Ordered via delivery and everything was thoughtfully packaged.“
“This place gives me nostalgia. There’s something about it that reminds me of being in Burlington Vermont coupled with the laidback apathetic individuality of living through 90s grunge era and listening to Elliott Smith and Neutral Milk Hotel. The interior aesthetic isn’t try hard (they showcase local art on the walls and theres a less-is-more vibe), but theres still a cozy sip-slow-and-linger feel. What sets it apart from other places for me is the muted warmth from the people who work there. The kind where you know if you become a regular you’ll get a half smile and they might remember your name, really adds to the overall charm. And even if this place had none of that going for it, the breakfast sandwiches alone are worth a 30-minute walk. Not only are they only like 6 bucks, but they are delicious. The eggs are incredibly well-seasoned, fluffy, and scrumptious. They also have unique lattes, like Cinnamon Toast Crunch (it actually tastes like it) and their matchas are spot on.Even though there’s at least a dozen coffee shops much closer to us, this is our go-to.“
“First time here and everything was great! We got there early for lunch (food was perfect) then Hans gave us such a great, informative, hilarious tour/tasting we ended up staying for another round. I cannot remember both girls’ names who were our servers but they were excellent. Definitely coming back soon!“
“Incredible service! They're super accommodating with my dairy allergy and made an incredible vegan latte. My boyfriend got the croissant and egg sandwich and said it was perfectly crispy and the eggs and sausage were fresh. Highly recommend!“
“Delicious, fantastic vegan options, had a matcha bun and the grandma tofu which was great! I'm looking forward to being in suburban station again so I can try more menu items.Vegetarian options: Bao and other options for vegetarians and vegans are great and definitely not boring!Dietary restrictions: Nice vegan and vegetarian options!“
“Mabu is a neighborhood gem with intimate ambience, incredible food, and just a real sense of taste in everything from the decor to menu curation. It’s a French countryside vibe… and extremely affordable. BYOB helps. The sheppards pie, duck confit, ratatouille, and omg the BANANA PUDDING! I secretly don’t want to tell people about it, so it can remain in this state of perfection for my family’s personal use… but I also hope they stay open and need more foot traffic! Food takes a while to come… but so what? This place is for lingering and enjoyment.“
“First time in here the other night. Brian and Kourtney were behind the bar, both were very nice and attentive. I wasn’t super hungry so I got the tostadas which were way better than I anticipated. Looking forward to trying other food next time. They were also playing vinyls which I thought was a nice touch. Will be back again soon.“
“A pastry shop, a beacon of delight,Where morning treats turn dawn into bright. Two souls, prompt and kind,In every task aligned,Make breakfast fare a memorable sight.Croissants cradle eggs and prosciutto alike,A harmony of flavors that make us psyche.Coffee rich, price fair,In this haven rare,Perfection this place does strike.“
“Hey, folks, just gonna share some thoughts on Asad's Hot Chicken. Been around for a bit now in West Philly, and gotta say, those two-piece BIG OLE chicken fingers with fries? Yeah, they're kinda hitting different. I mean, you wouldn't expect much, just some chicken and fries, right? But these chicken fingers? They've got this subtle heat, this crunch that's kinda addictive. And the fries? Simple, but slightly spicy. It gives old bay-ish seasoning, but they just work, you know? Service? It serves. And the vibe at Asad's? It's cool, laid-back. Like, you walk in, and it's like, "Yeah, I could hang here for a bit...just a little. lol (Not the biggest place and there's no chairs or tables. Strictly pick-up.) So, if you're ever in the area and feeling peckish, might as well swing by Asad's Hot Chicken. Give those two-piece chicken fingers with fries a shot. Can't hurt, right? What's your fave hot chicken spot?“
“The best water ice, hands down. The prices are good, they use fresh fruit, and the flavors are delicious. Staff is kind and quick. even with long lines it’s still a pleasure to go here because it moves fast. I am always sad when they close for the season! This is a neighborhood- and Philadelphian- staple and I’m so glad it is part of our community.“
“We came at iftar time during Ramadan so the place was so crowded. We decided to order for take out however we managed to get a table but the food was already packed.I would like to give another try for the lamb Haneeth & Fahsa since it wasn’t that tasty. The lentils soup and Areka were delicious. The service is 10 out of 5 they were very welcoming and friendly. Even while they were swamped with work but they managed to pay attention to their customers professionally.Great atmosphere and authentic Yemeni food. Hopefully I will have to pay a visit after Ramadan. The overall experience is great.“
“This has been my go-to bakery since I lived in Philly! Always a great selection & variety of items with the ability to try something different each time you visit. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious and will keep coming back! Also some great gluten-free and vegan options there as well.“
“We made a reservation at Mish Mish but there was some unorganized pop up bar there that night so we found this gem across the street from them. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the surf and turf. No actual lobster but lobster sauce drizzled over steak which wasn’t bad for the price point.“
“THIS is the place to be.What a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere, from the hostess to the servers to the other guests. Cute decor with a lot of tables that are in close proximity to one another.THIS is the place to eat.OHHH-EMMM-GEEE the food is incredibly delicious. The portions are generous. The menu selections are great and it’s difficult to choose - and then they have daily specials, which makes it even harder because you want to try it ALL!CASH only- no cards accepted.BYOB and the staff will gladly provide the appropriate glassware.Scannicchio’s is a family place…..the employees are all family and when you’re there you feel like family. MY family, we LOVE Scannicchio’s! It’s our family tradition. La mia famiglia. Mangia bene.Parking: Parking is where we you find a spot! Usually a spot can be found on Broad Street.“
“Bao Nine is such a cute place to eat at. Thankfully, the food matches the atmosphere! The food is fresh, light, and delicious. The prices are great and the combo options make it easy to try a little of everything. I enjoyed my first time at Bao Nine and will surely be going back whenever I'm in the neighborhood.“
“My friends and I went here for Wednesday night quizzo and it was really fun! The place is a nice size, lots of seating. I don't normally like beer but get fomo when at brewery's, so I tried the "I pick things up and put them down" (and got a small size) and I finished it, which I normally never do so that's a good sign. I thought the place was kind of warm, but maybe that's just me lol. the appetizers weren't that bad, we tried the hummus and the Buffalo chicken dip, but for the price I expected a little more. It's definitely just quick bar food. My friends enjoyed their Cuban sandwich though. Would definitely go back for quizzo!“
“Came here with some friends over the summer and absolutely loved it. The food truck outside was delicious and the drinks were tasty. This place has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Great place to grab drinks and hangout! Will be returning.“
“202303&12Great little coffee shop! I bought the beans from the store and loved them when I got home. I drank several seasonal special coffees and loved them. My coffee expert friends also loved them. Don’t miss it if you pass by.My coffee snob friend loves this place. I know nothing about coffee and I love it as well so this is your sign to stop by today!“
“Got to the restaurant at 6th and Bainbridge for the first time, since having a fantastic experience at the food truck. The restaurant was incredible! Food was absolutely delicious. Location and vibe were great. And service was outstanding. Hope to see Algorithm continue to thrive!“
“good beer selections and one of the best burgers I've had no I can't remember how long. For real best in region ?♥️Went again last night with the family. Our youngest turned 21 and wanted to go to Lucky's. The staff made him feel special. Very cool“
“The outdoor seating area in the rear of the restaurant gives you the feel of hanging out in someone's personal garden hideaway.Parking: The restaurant is located in a very busy section of the city, very close to both I-95 and 76 highway systems.“
“Unbelievably good. The food is fantastic and the service is even better. We had a wheelchair in our party and were well accommodated. Highly accessible spot.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp in doors allowing you to get to any seating area.“
“Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to South Philadelphia Tap Room! The highlight of my meal was, without a doubt, their Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The soup was a perfect blend of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate the fresh tomato flavor. Paired with a golden, crispy Grilled Cheese that was oozing with melty cheese goodness, it was comfort food at its finest. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only added to the exceptional dining experience. A must-visit spot for anyone craving a classic with a gourmet twist!“
“Best pretzels around. My grandfather would buy these and bring them back home to Virginia. I’ve made the trip just for pretzels a few times. The family that run the business are so kind and flexible with call ahead orders as well! Also hoping the renovations after the fire will be done soon! I’ve been craving these pretzels!“
“They had several great vegan options and the owner was very kind and interested in us having a good experience. The atmosphere is a little cramped but not claustrophobic. I loved the random assortment of books and plants all over. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop here!Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options!“
“First time at this location. I found parking outside on the street. Nice and clean on the inside. Friendly service. Menu is easy to read. I have a variety of food that's made to order, but they also have grab and go in a fridge, including dessert options.I had a BLT and it was absolutely amazing. Dining in option available.“
“Came here for a girls-night-out/catch up with a good friend, since we wanted to "treat ourselves" to fancy, upscale, creative cocktails (rather than our usual dive bar City wide) - and this place did NOT disappoint. I got the gold dust woman (sage gin - pretty yummy, but not too strong. Simple and elegant.) and the Bela Lugosi's Dead (AMAZING! Gin, frothed egg white, and FALL SPICE!!). My friend got the Negroni, which was impeccably strong, if you're into that sort of thing (wasn't really for us). The bartenders were friendly & fun, and after 930pm the bar cleared out enough that we finally got a seat. Be warned- it's expensive at 12$/cocktail, but the ingredients and care put into their creations make it worth it.“
“Great spot for Happy Hour (lasts until 6pm), and love that you can make a reservation in advance. Service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. They were quick to clear things which was helpful since we were at a small table. Atmosphere is cozy. We got happy hour drinks (rose, red, and a Venetian spritz) as well as two of their cheese boards. The Gorgonzola stuffed figs were a bit intense as the name might suggest, but we liked what they had otherwise. Spritz was $9 Wines were $7 Boards were $9 each“
“I have been going here since they opened. I really do love the food, drinks, and the fun interior. The service however always leaves something to be desired. The people are friendly but absent. I often have to wait to even be asked if I want a drink let alone food to start. I am not sure if it is a problem with not enough staff or inexperienced staff. Overall, the staff needs to be more attentive to customers. The music choices are completely fine but please, please turn it down. I was torn between 3 or 4 stars. I went with 4 bc there really is so much potential here. Bottom line, increase attentiveness and decrease the music volume and we got a phenomenal restaurant!“
“Came with a group of 5 on Sunday at the end of brunch and had such a great experience. The food was top notch, the brussels, artichokes, ravioli, risotto and tortellini were some of the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The service was also fantastic! We will be back :)“
“This was a great little spot to spend an hour before our dinner reservation. There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. You can just grab what you need and chill. I had a really delicious strawberry NA beer suggested by the staff, really the best NA beer I have ever had. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.“
“SO Good!! Lost Bread is a bakery and mill in Philadelphia. I found their table at the entrance to the Schuylkill River Park. The table is unassuming, yet filled with so much. They had Table Bread, Whole Grain Croissant, Deli Rye, Spelt Handpies, Milk Buns, Oat Bar, and Cranberry Bran Muffins. I opted for the Pretzel Shortbread Crisps, which are so yummy. They have lasted all week and I already can't wait for the next batch!“
“A great find! We had 2 very pleasant visits with good food and drink. We particularly liked the staff and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The owner and colleagues were very hospitable. One of the pleasantest neighbourhood bars we have ever been in.“
“Never disappoints. Tria has excellent light fare, and the wine, beer and cheese always provide a new experience. The staff is super friendly, and VERY down to Earth; they don't expect the customer to be an expert and genuinely enjoy teaching/explaining the varied menu selections. With a few locations in Center City, Tira is an excellent stop for a pre-night out, mid-evening monotony breaker....or a capper. Some locations can get a bit tight on elbow room...but worth it.“
“Had a slice n a cheese steakfood came out fastSlice wasn't heated up n cheese steak very basic roll n meat average n seemed not heated either, most strange bc came out very fasthuge selection of ready pies/slices on display..( Just specify you want Hot food ) if u gobe best to go early in day for slices so not dried up and or order a fresh pie or I'm assuming plain slices get replenished thru out dayPretty lady bartender was friendly and acts as waitress It looked clean n prices average for center city and it's a sports bar too“
“This spot has become an addiction. BIRRIA EVERYTHING. Their Birria Pizza has to be one of the most amazing pizzas in Philly. LOADED with beautiful tender slow braised beef and delievered with an amazing consome that, if you run out of pizza, you'd end up drinking it instead. Can't reccomend enough, they were an instant neighborhood staple the moment they opened, and last time I was in I was thrilled to see another counter had opened up slinging slices.“
“Having grown up with Texas breakfast tacos I was excited to see a spot in Philly to create what I was missing from home. Bfast taco was good, flavor was def there. A bit on the pricier end for a breakfast taco, even with a homemade tortilla. Was hoping all salsas were given out as well, tried the guaijlo , had good flavor. Not sure if I’ll be a reg just because they’re pricey. But I do appreciate what they are bringing to Philly.“
