“Coolest coffeeshop and market! I'm obsessed with the theme of the shop. It's hard to decide what to get to drink cause they have so many amazing options. You can get a variety of coffee drinks like a cherry cola coffee soda, frozen latte, a huge selection of flavored lattes plus your cafe classics. There is a mocktail section with some non-coffee drinks too. Their market has lots of Italian imported pasta and tomatoes. They have fridges filled with a huge variety of chocolate bars. There is a great variety of non-alcoholic wines too! Their branded merchandise is awesome too! Please put your Sunday gravy graphic that's on the tote bag on a t-shirt cause I'll come back from nyc just to get that. I'll be back when I visit philly again. Highly recommend coming here for some great coffee and the vibes.
Vegetarian options: Pastries are vegetarian.
Dietary restrictions: They offer non-dairy milk. Their frozen latte is made with oatmilk. They also have decaf coffee.“

“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

“This has been my go to coffee shop since moving to the neighborhood. Coffee is super delicious always and the seasonal coffees are really good, right now they have a banana one that is prob the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Food is really delicious too, the spam sandwich is my favorite and where ever they get their bagels please don’t stop because they are my favorite in the city. The vibes and the interior of the place is super cool too, plus the staff is always super nice and really cool people too. This place has been my favorite part of moving to this neighborhood.“
“Great coffee, great staff, and books! It is an unbeatable combination to de stress and unwind. Keep it up!“

“Excellent food and atmosphere, and our waiter was great. Moist of the dishes were unique, which I really enjoyed. The chef's choice menu was excellent, though the amount of food was excessive. They leave plenty of space between tables.“

“So far only been here 1x. Loved it. The service was friendly and personal and to be 100%honest I didn't really believe the pastries could be as good as across the street and still have great coffee. WRONG ...both phenomenal. I can't wait to go back!!! This time I'm bringing home biscotti. Because is there really a better breakfast than biscotti and coffee???“

“I went here twice during a visit to Temple University. The first time I went was later in the afternoon and they had run out of many of the freshly baked items. The coffee I had both times was nicely made and the flavor was great. In general, the staff were courteous and asked my name for my order. The decor is simple, but welcoming and the vibe is casual. There are wooden tables and chairs for those who want to have their coffee inside the cafe.“

“We visited Rival Bros to meet with a local professional. I hate to be critical, but I was underwhelmed. The employees basically ignored customers, even when we stepped up to the counter, as they were busy having a conversation amongst themselves. My drink was incredibly bitter and I had to add sugar to make it palatable. (I don't tend to order super sweet drinks, and I drink unsweetened coffee all the time. The iced mocha tasted like straight unsweetened cocoa powder, though, which is pretty unpleasant.) The indoor seating was all taken, so we sat outside in Passyunk Square. Clearly, they get a lot of business in their location, and I can see why, based on location.
My husband and I love small, local coffee shops. He worked for a micro roaster when we were newlyweds, and we helped some friends open their coffeehouse many years ago. We enjoy supporting these businesses and watching them succeed. I'm not sure if we just had a one-off experience, but it's not someplace I'd run back to, unfortunately. They have an amazing location and beautiful storefront, but the drinks and service were subpar. I'll probably give them a second chance at some point, though, to see if my experience was a fluke.“

“When I look for coffee, I make sure it is a good roaster. Ultimo Coffee are exceptional roasters in Philadelphia. I have been visiting them for 5 years now. They mostly sell washed process coffees which I prefer over naturals or anaerobic etc. Their Pour Over coffees are really good, espresso is excellent.“
“I have taken my lab here for lunch several times, and we have always been treated well. The food is great and the menu is quite extensive. There is something for everyone! The prices are very reasonable. Go with a group so that everyone can taste different things.“

“Pretty good donuts. Really great and flavorful cold brew. Donuts have lots of fun flavors, but are a little too sugary (like, literal cane sugar taste) and a little on the expensive side. Would be nice if they also sold sandwiches like this vegan donut shop I like in Arizona, Sojo’s. Or like Grindcore around the corner.“

“I adore the concept of the place and love to see it succeed but it feels like there’s a lack of a system. I ordered online, gave it almost 45min before walking in and still had to wait another 15-20min. The staff were super friendly and bubbly, great vibes and music playing. The whiting was great, flavorful and a perfectly crunchy breading 10/10. But the French toast order I got was incorrect. I’d love to try this place again after some time.“

“I've only recently discovered this gem of a place. So far I've only purchased breakfast sandwiches and a breakfast platter/smoothies which were delicious, but I also flip through the menu as if it's a magazine pondering what lunch item I'll finally order. Lol 10/10. Very pleasant staff and I usually text my orders so I don't have to wait.“

“We initially came here because we thought it was Vita, but that was right next door. However, we were not disappointed! The place is cute and has a few over the counter Italian goodies for purchase. We got gelato and hazelnut lattes. It was so delicious and the young man working there was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and clean. Excellent service and delicious gelato and coffee.“

“Stopped in this place on a whim as we were on our way to the train station. The food was excellent and the cortado I had was delicious. Quiet and modern take on American breakfast/lunch. Would definitely visit again!
Dietary restrictions: I was able to note my peanut/treenut allergy, despite my dish not necessarily having any in it.
Parking: Parking garage around the corner on Walnut Street
Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs leading to the cafe. Would be easily accessible for a wheelchair, though the main door is not automatic and would require someone to hold it open (door is quite heavy too).“

“*4.5/5 Stars*
I recently discovered Good Karma Cafe and I'm hooked! This charming spot exceeded my expectations with its warm atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, happily answering our questions about the menu. We indulged in their mouthwatering chicken sandwiches on sourdough bread, paired with refreshing lemonade and iced tea. The cozy back dining room, adorned with vibrant art and lush greenery, made for a pleasant dining experience.
Their breakfast and brunch menu boasts an array of tempting options, making me eager to return. Standouts include the Colonel Mustard sandwich and almond croissant.
Good Karma Cafe excels in:
- Friendly, attentive staff
- Beautiful decor
- Excellent selection of hot and cold beverages
- Tasty sandwiches and pastries
- Ample seating
- Convenient WiFi and water for customers
Minor drawbacks:
- Limited outdoor seating
- Coffee (large latte) was bitter and milk was over-steamed (though smoothies were great!)
Overall, Good Karma Cafe is an ideal spot for a satisfying breakfast or lunch. I'll definitely be back for more!
Parking: Usually you can find a spot pretty close by“

“I heard about Baby’s Kusina while on a dinner date and wanted to try this Filipino market. First off, the building is absolutely beautiful and the decor is aesthetic. On to the important stuff, the food and drink. My fiancé got the Ube-Milk Matcha and the Cheesy Beshy. The sandwich was delicious and the Ube-Milk Matcha was incredible! I got an iced matcha and the Rich Tita, which may have been one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever ate; the housemate pork longganisa was out of this world, the bread was light and flaky, and the egg was perfectly cooked. The Rocky’s Matcha is such a rare find and definitely the best matcha in the city. Lastly, Tam and Raquel were incredibly welcoming owners and the staff was interactive and wonderful. They have made a returning customer of me. Highly recommend 10/10.“

“We were staying in Fishtown for a wedding, and wanted to find a good breakfast option close by. Wow. What a find! I love linguica, so finding a breakfast sandwich with authentic linguica was amazing. We also got a selection of Natas to share. My favorite was the pumpkin spice, but the lemon raspberry was also really delicious.
The friendly, local vibe was very welcoming. If we lived in the neighborhood, they would know us by name, because we would be there all the time.“
