“Too difficult to buy a cup of coffee here, the coffee ordering set up should be in the front, not the back and why is it so dark in the back? I want to like this place but it has no vibe…just the sight of staffers running around. The Hostess always looks bored and the back is like a madhouse. It’s one of the only places to get a cup of coffee ☕ near to Rittenhouse Park but where it’s well lit, it’s a quiet upscale grocery shop but the back feels like you’ve entered a subway station at rush hour!

Not sure what the remedy is but I’d suggest that you open up the front space, remove the annoying velvet rope and stop putting “reserved” signs on all of the tables (just sit people there who want to enjoy a cup of coffee for 15 minutes). This is a beautiful spot, but boy does it stress me out once you walk in the back.

Put on Italian music and hire some drop dead gorgeous guy or gal who knows how to convey ITALIAN WARMTH to customers!!! Every time I walk in the hostess is shy. She should be greeting guests and be IN FRONT, not planted at the podium.

My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

Got the beef chilaquiles with an ube vietnamese iced coffee, and my boyfriend got the beef rice bulgogi with a salted foam iced coffee. Left feeling full and comforted, like any great food and atmosphere would. Excellent spot.“

“Some of the best black coffee I’ve had! I’m originally from Illinois. While the cafes I’ve been to in that state are good, this place didn’t water it down, and I didn’t even ask for strong black coffee like I normally would in Illinois. Very polite people! Got my drink in like a minute or two. Went well with my walk around the area!“

“I’ve been getting banh mi from Cafe Cuong for over 15 years, they have the best banh mi in town. However, last time I went in 2025, the young guy at the counter overcharged $5…this is not about the 5 bucks that he try to steal, it’s about even with loyal customers, he’s still trying to to screw over. “Small cafe with 3 small tables (2 chairs per table), came by for a quick brunch. There were 2 employees when we came by Cashier/Barista and the chef. The Cashier/Barista was very nice and the food was pretty simple but good. My one year old toddler loved their Orzo Risotto, unfortunately there was no high chair but we made it work.“

“I love Matcha Maiko NYC and thought I’d try the one here in Philly. I got the normal matcha latte with 50% sugar, whole milk, and normal ice. The latte itself came out not as dark as I expected, maybe too much milk was added and little matcha. The service was amazing tho, the lady at the counter was really nice and patient as I decided what to get. Aesthetics of the cafe were also great, very minimal and cozy vibes. Overall, I’d come again but maybe sticking with Hojicha“

“I was heading to a different coffee shop when I passed Konditori and saw their “one size cappuccino” sign out front. I immediately knew I could trust they’d have good coffee and changed my plans :) so glad I did, they had a fabulous Americano and super kind staff. I came back the next day instead of trying somewhere new while I was in town because it was just too good to pass up. Wish I had konditori in my city!“

“This is very overdue but after this past weekend, I had to take the time to write. This past weekend Dean and his crew catered another party for us. This was the 2nd time and we could not believe the food could be better than it was last October, but it was! The roasted pepper deviled eggs and the lamb meatballs were spectacular. We are a family of chefs and Dean cooks like we would for our own family and friends. Actually, maybe better! Thank you Dean for making our housewarming party so delicious!!!“

“I love Adelie Coffee House. The coffee is simply delicious! It's rich, smooth, aromatic, soothing - like a warm blanket fresh out of the dryer. I've only tried the cheese danish. It was very good. The baristas are great - all of them. The coffee house itself is bare bones, yet clean and cozy. You have the option to sit outside if you like. I'm so glad this little gem is right down the street from my house.💜“
